I live in Rincon west and everybody swears by this truck... I was downtown at second Saturday night celebration and lo and behold, there was the food truck. My friend, and I decided to partake, as the smell of garlic was wafting thickly in the warm spring evening air. Jozarelli did not disappoint. Nice tender chewy crust with a crunchy exterior on the edges. Plenty of delicious toppings and delicious sauce. And oh yes, the flavor of garlic was definitely present but oh so divine. Not bad for a food truck. Definitely expensive though($21 for pasta and small desert). I got the chicken parmesean pasta and also a tiramisu. My only complaint is that the tiramisu had a bunch of liquid once I got into it. So much so that I drank the rest of my dessert. It tasted good, just not typical for tiramisu. This company has a both at the SAVAHCS and the Italian type foods the sauce is either bland or too tomato paste overbearing. The pizza needs to have a better chew in the crust as it was like eating pizza sauce and cheese on a cracker. The Mexican food they provided for the red sauce is bland, pico has no flavor. Went to 2nd Saturday last night. Five of us at gyros and hot dogs here. They were fast with the order! But the quality of the meat was so, so bad. The worst gyros anyone in our group had ever had. Who puts blue cheese on a gyro? What was that sauce? The veggies were fresh & the bread was soft. And I really do hate shitting on a local business that's just trying to get by. But for those prices, you gotta step up your game a bit on quality. The cheapest frozen gyro meat you can get at the local grocer is better. Oh, AND the "chorizo" on the hot dog tasted like all-meat canned Hormel chili with cinnamon added. We are not in the Midwest. That was not chorizo. Get it together, please. read more

"Mama mia, that's a spicy meatball!"  I wish I had photos of the delicious food we picked up tonight at Starr Pass/Greasewood. Our family inhaled the food the moment they got home. The meatballs are big, tender, juicy, full of flavor and have just enough spice to give them a kick. I had the meatball sub and it was super filling. The bread, the sauce, and the meatballs all homemade!! My daughter had the linguini and meatballs. She's not a spicy food fan so we split her leftovers and once again amazing. My husband ordered the same calzone but this time thought it was just average, same as my son. I ordered a meatball sub, I felt meatballs were too dense and overseasoned, bread was hard to bite through, and too little sauce to counter the dense bread and meatballs. Tried them all and liked everything. I give it 5 stars because I thought an Italian food truck was going to be nasty - mushy pasta or soggy crust. But somehow Jozarellis champions the food truck challenges and everything is cooked nicely! I tried this food truck out while taking in the fireworks in Oro Valley at James Kriegh park. There was a bit of wait, to be expected, but the people were friendly and the menu easy to read. My husband got a sausage and sweet peppers wrap and I got the chicken pesto wrap. I have got to say I think these should not have been available in wrap form although I know why they did it, lots of health conscious people or just people watching their carbs or people who want things that are easily eaten from one hand. Let me tell you these wraps were neither. They were both dripping with oil and they were just okay. I think if I went back I would try the sandwiches, maybe the oil soaks better into thick cut bread? Skip the wraps, just order desert. This food truck serves canolis... seriously. And they're amazing. The filling was creamy and had just the right amount of chocolate chips sprinkled in and was lightly dusted with powdered sugar. Can't beat the price, I believe it was $3-4 for 3 small canolis. The food truck is nice. Ordering was a little awkward with a bend down and look up through the window setup (I am only 6 foot). Took my order and with one person in front of me the wait was reasonable. Ordered the chicken parm and it was tasty. The noodles were firm and not crunchy. However the marinara was nothing special. The chicken was a hearty portion but it was 12 dollars so to be expected. Honestly nothing really going. I would give them less than one star if I could. After my organization paid them (a lot) to show up for a big event, they bailed for another event that they thought might be more lucrative. Bad, bad business. I don't care what their food is like, they are completely unreliable. Bought my kid Spaghetti and meatballs, it was tasty but not particularly memorable. Meatballs seemed flavored well, not outstanding, nor the sauce. He liked it a lot. I got an Italian Gyro. It was mediocre but certainly passable and edible. The combo flavors of traditional gyro meat with feta cheese, something like Caesar dressing and maybe marinaded red peppers and fresh spinach is something that sounds like it would be alright but is not the greatest combo. Would not buy that again. Seems like quality is there and the pizzas looked good coming out but the pizzas I noticed were enough for 1 person, I think you'd still be hungry if you had to share it. If I could give 1/2 stars it'd be rated 3 1/2 but I default up in this case. read more

Tried this food truck at a food truck event. Ordered a calzone listed at $11, a side of fries listed at $5, a set of cannoli cream puffs listed at $5, and an arizona tea with no listed price. Ended up being $13 for the calzone, $8 for the fries, $5 for the puffs, and $4 for the tea. Then once I tried the calzone I found that the little bit of chicken that was in it was raw so it was not edible. It wasn't a busy event so I would of thought the chicken would of been caught, but they seemed more concerned about talking crap about other food trucks around them not being open yet. read more

I am responding to Joe S. comments on my review. I am an officer on the board of the organization that booked his unreliable truck and I have seen the bank statement and check for the deposit we paid. And since I never mentioned my organization in my review, it is hardly likely that he could have done any research whatsoever on our reservation. As I contended, he simply made a decision to not honor his commitment to our event and went to an event that he thought might be more lucrative. No worries. We were able to get a better truck with better food and our 800 attendees were very happy with it. read more

Tried this truck at Baja Oktoberfest last night. What a disappointment. Firstly not even close to "Italian street food". Mostly entrees. As a Bronx native, a sausage and peppers sandwich is a food truck staple. Theirs had a tremendous roll, way too big for the single small piece of mediocre sausage. The peppers and onions were bland and under cooked. The pasta arribatta was flavorless and only had two prices of meat. The bruschetta wasn't a bruschetta. I won a gift certificate to Jozarelli's at Meet Me at Maynard's last week, so I had check them out. They post their location on their webpage, so my friend and I tracked them down last night to try the food. We got an 8" sausage pizza, garlic fries and bruschetta. Everything was very good, and fresh. The fries were..well..fried, and covered in parmesan cheese. yum. We got the cannolis for dessert which came in a set of 4, so we were totally stuffed after the meal. And, if you check in on Yelp you get a free can of soda. read more

Joe, the owner of Jozarelli's, is an amazing guy to work with! We hired him and his team to provide food at my son's wedding reception. His communication is top notch. And when I thought one of our food trucks was a no show, Joe offered to handle the food for all 250 guests. His food is delicious! Our wedding guests had nothing but great things to say. My fiancee and I have stopped by this food truck at Starr Pass and Greasewood more than once. I have to say that I get excited when I see them driving into the area to set up in the afternoon. We have tried several items off their menu including the pesto chicken sandwich, and several different combinations of calzones. Though the sandwich was a little dry, we have been pleased with the food overall. Calzones are my weakness and I love that they have fennel sausage available as a topping choice, which I have had problems finding elsewhere. We also really enjoyed the bread and balsamic olive oil that we got this evening as well! The staff is extremely personable and they appeared to remember us on our return visit. I would definitely recommend trying it out if you see the truck around town at one of its many vending locations. This is definitely a place that I would choose if I was at a food truck event! read more
