I was behind two parties of two and my food took 15 minutes. I opted to take the food to go, since it was 9:45 pm. Thats always a risk because the food might not be as fresh as when it's freshly served. The woman ahead of me asked for well done crispy bacon wrap. I should have done the same, but I wanted to try it the standard way first. I really wanted to love this, but the standard soggy bacon wrap is not my thing. My stomach could not cope with the grease either -- this looks like pretty low quality bacon that is mostly fat. I was pretty disappointed and only finished half!

After an EXTREMELY long wait (at this point there only 2 other people in the place and they had been served their food), our food arrived. The tostada was delicious, very citrusy and crisp. It was served in a bowl with an orange colored broth that was really good. My liver platter was delicious as always, with a noticeably smaller portion of liver and a noticeably higher price. When we were done, we waited for the bill. We finally stood up to leave and the server immediately brought over the bill. I love the food here, but hate the long delays in every aspect of eating here.

Once seated, we were served with the usual chips and salsa - the same, no different, good and plentiful. I ordered the albondigas with squash added to it and a green corn tamale. Friend ordered shrimp tacos. It was a good 20 minutes before our food arrived. The albondigas' bowl was huge as were the amount of shrimp on the tacos. They have the best green corn tamales in town - tender and sweet. The tacos had fried onions on top. The food was delicious. Friend and I both took home some of our food. This place is too noisy - always has been. It's hard to hear what others are saying. No effort has been made to tamp down the noise. We'll go back when it's not so busy and will be quieter.

But his drummettes are just as moist!!! And the nice light crisp of the skin to get into the moist, succulent meat is SO delicious! You can get a variety of styles but I just like his dry rub seasoning. Get 'em before he leaves! The Pork U sandwich is SO good. His pulled pork is some of the best in Tucson. The Pablo Diablo, oh my. You may want to split a sandwich because they are so hearty. His fries are excellent.
