I've had a good experience a bad experience and a few on par experiences with them.. Watch the installers they sub contract too. Joyce has a 2 year installer warranty. That said, in my case. They did fix an issue I had that wasn't realized till year 3. 2nd story door's corner was slow leaking through insulation. That takes a while to show up. I have positives and negatives, so please read the entire thing. The reason for a 4-star rating is at the end of this review! Otherwise, it would not have been more than 2-stars! My dining room bay window was badly damaged by the hail storm back in May 2024. I contacted Joyce Factory Direct and they replaced the window months ago. The salesman, Mason, was polite and knowledgeable. I hired Joyce Factory Direct. Much of the work was covered by my homeowner's insurance. The crew was professional and the installers were pleasant to work with. I provided bottles of water. They ran into a problem in my sideyard (of which I was unaware). I live in a rural country area and there are a lot of wild animals out here. Deer, possums, raccoons and bears left fleas in the side yard. These poor guys were covered. I provided flea spray. They were very nice about the whole ordeal. I ordered a large bay window and a smaller window. The small window was perfectly installed and finished. The bay window looked amazing...on the EXTERIOR of the house. When the crew was ready to leave I asked when the interior trim would be finished. I was told that was my responsibility! WHAT? I paid over $5,000.00 for that bay window! Seriously? Well, it's been several months (this was done before the storm that damaged so much of Asheville, NC). I called several times and finally got them to send someone back out to finish the interior trim (because I threatened to report them to the BBB). The workman who did the job, VERNON PARKER, was TERRIFIC! He said it is company "policy" that the installers themselves determine if they will do the interior trim. He disagreed with said policy! Putting up wood or PVC trim would have been a nightmare. Instead, this guy planned and designed metal trim and molded it to my bay window. It looks FANTASTIC and blends perfectly with the existing window trim. I cannot even see any seams, it is flawless! So, in the end, they did a great job, but it took me months, and aggravation, to accomplish. BE FOREWARNED! read more

We couldn't be more pleased with our new doors and window. Our salesman, Rick, was very patient in showing us options until we were totally happy with our choice. The materials are of very high quality, and the leadtime from the factory was huge reasonable. Our installers, Mark and Adam, arrived early, were courteous and respectful of our property, were nice to our dog, and meticulously cleaned up after themselves. Not only did our home get a glow-up, but the energy savings will be huge! I can immediately notice a difference in the reduction of noise from outside. Replace Multiple windows in our home. Went through providers, including Anderson, and decided on Joyce. Ohio company, american employees and supporting local business. Salesman was knowledgeable and polite and after the two hour home visit we felt great about our choice. Installation crew showed up with the windows. The foreman was surprised about a cutout necessary for one window (making the window bigger.) Implied that the project team does not tell the install team what they need to know. My wife purchased pizza and drinks for the crew for lunch and we all got along very well. The crew got to taking out our old windows, they did NOT put any clothes or barriers up to stop dust and debris. Dust, dirt, sawdust, etc. covered most of the interior of the house. This was in stark contrast to what the salesman said regarding the "installation process". They used a small vacuum with a hose to clean up the floors, no attachments to sweep or anything, just the end of the hose. There were also two windows with faulty latches noted on install day. (Odd that they made it through a QC or QA factory check.) The new living room window was 10" to small in length. Almost 1 foot short!!!!! They measured twice, two seperate people on seperate days and still got it wrong! So they buttoned up the window and filled the gap with some plywood. You could see daylight coming in around the window, which allowed bugs into the house. Our daily whack-a-bug lasted for three weeks until the team came back with the right size window. Additionally the new larger window that was cut out in the kitchen, provided a crisp breeze to anyone standing by the kitchen sink. There was also a deformity in the bottom right corner of that window. Communicated all this to our salesman at Joyce, including pictures and left voice messages. They called my wife back instead of me and did not reply to my emails directly, only acknowledging them via phone conversations. Reinstall day come around three weeks later. The same install team. They came in with a chip on their shoulder (obviously they had received word from management about our complaints) and decided to focus their anxiety on my wife. The foreman took no responsibility for the work they had performed and dismissed my wife categorically. Refused to admit that the bugs we were getting inside were a result of the windows not being sealed. (Hello! turn around and see the daylight coming in from the living room window?) Wanted to take a heat gun and bend/form the window that had a defect and then began to excuse everything we wanted checked as way to much and or too hard to do. Our salesman then arrived and doubled down with the installation crew. They were very condescending, aggressive and belligerent when talking to my wife, but were all about talking to me. In our lively discussions, we learned that the foreman had not replaced the insulation he cut out when enlarging the frame for the new larger window. (Hello!!! seal the window to the frame and put the insulation you cut out back in!) No wonder we were getting a cold breeze under the window! Salesman would not allow them to heat the window frame...need to have a new window and another install day. Bottom line...product...GREAT...warranty...GREAT (if they abide by what is in writing in the future) and price was in the middle of estimates. The left hand does NOT talk to the right hand and a company with decades of service, they should have IRON-CLAD procedures for installation and rectifying issues, which they DO NOT. Customer service...POOR. Buy the windows and do it yourself. read more

Waited a month for installation. Finally got our install the contractor left a dusty mess along with garbage on the windowsill and forgetting their tarp. Don't forget the sharpie on the ceiling and the crack on our wainscotting. Not to mention the plumber has been to our house twice and the shower leaks. Currently leaking into our dining room. Had a 3 season room put on house. They NEVER called to let us know when they were coming. Showed up at door every time. They were also to do deck. They never knew what project they were doing first. There is NO communication at ALL between them and us or them and workers on site. This project took way too long and we warned them even though they started about 3 weeks early (March 2024) we needed it completed for a 4th of July party. Here it was July 3rd at 9pm and they still were not done. On the morning of July 4th we had to install the solar lights to all the posts so our guests would not get hurt. Now 3 weeks after we were outside and noticed 6 out 12 of the railings are to short and are falling out. We called and E Mailed Mark Williams and Chris about a dozen times to fix this problem. However now Chris's voicemail is filled and we can't leave messages and Mark will not respond at all! They kept threatening us about final payment however job was NOT done. Once they received final payment they will not get back to us to fix the problems we are having even though this is suppose to be lifetime guarantee. I will post another review IF they ever contact us and FIX the problems we are having. I would NEVER recommend this company. The only person that helped at all was Jay and unfortunately he is only the sales guy! read more

Terrible company. Poor workmanship, poor communicaion skils and overall terrible experience. They installed windows and doors in my sunroom, the whole thing leaked after the first rain. When I called to have them fix it, I was told a worker would call us back. No call back. I left a voicemail, no call back.. I left an email, I was assured we would get it handled- another week went by no response. This lasted for three weeks. I finally had a tech come out, they fixed it promptly. SO that it would not leak anymore. This is after they tried blaming me for clogged gutters that aledgedly caused my three seasons room to flood (which I had my gutters cleaned before they even finished their work). I called for a monetary reimbursement due to me having to buy a shop vac to remove the water, and my time cleanign the room every time it rained, they would not reimburse me!?!? Had a sliding door replaced 10 years ago. Was told that the screen sliding door has a LIFETIME repair warranty to replace broken/torn screens. They said "just drop it off when you go to Great Northern Mall and come back later to pick it up for FREE". Left a message for service tech who did call back propmtly, said we don't work for free it's $180 for 1 hour and $80 /hr after that! Told her that not what I was promised, I'd like to escalate this. She said she is the Manager and I have final say. You may cancel my request for Entry door and windows. Siding: My 1950's home had wooden siding that was starting to rot and break down in some places. I knew it was time to replace the siding. I was looking to have my house resided with vinyl siding. I had several companies come out and give me quotes. Nothing compared to Joyce. Rick, the siding salesman, came out several times to answer my questions, take exact measurements, and pick out colors with me. Not only did the siding fix the wooden siding but it makes my house look brand new! Billy and his son were AMAZING!!! They really know everything about siding and turned my house from drab to FAB! Joyce blew my mind again with what they were able to accomplish!!!! Shower: Joyce completed a remodel of my guest shower. This project turned out wonderful! Joyce was able to open the shower up and make it bigger than it was. I love the colors and it is so easy to maintain. Thank you Joyce! Roof: After a storm one day I noticed there was a small leak in my roof. I had my insurance company come out and they stated that I needed a complete roof replacement including some of the wood deck/sheathing. Rick from Joyce made this process very easy from the beginning to the end. He provided me with a quote that I could provide to my insurance company. Helped answer all of the questions they had as well as any that I had about the project. I LOVE the look of the new roof and it was completed in ONLY two days! Doors: Having an older home I loved the large wooden doors that came with the home. However, they were old, had some leaking problems, and were often hard to open/close. I replaced two main doors and one screen door. This process was so easy and the installation of all three doors only took one day! The installation was quick and easy. Mark and Adam were the best and super knowledgeable!!! YES! I have had all of these projects completed by Joyce! They are fabulous to work with and I will definitely be going back to them for other future projects! read more

Everything was great, from the salesman (Rick) to helping us figure out what product we should use, his attention to detail on the window muttons and he found what we were looking for in a patio door, the person who measured had more ideas and altered the order to save us some $ on the installation and when Mark & Adam came to install, they were professional, kept me informed of their progress, they were neat and left no mess. I used to be a glazer (windows guy) many years ago and being in the business I could tell they knew what they were doing and did a nice job on the installations. No job is perfect, when they saw an issue they made me aware of it and began the process to rectify the problem. We had a wonderful experience with this company and would highly recommend them. The meetings before installation went well and the sales representative was knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. All measurements were taken twice by two different representatives to be thorough. We were probably most impressed with the installation crew though. They were so friendly and respectful. It can be stressful and awkward to have strangers in your home (and our installation was a major project that took three full days) but these men were just wonderful. My son was even home sick during the installation process and they were so kind and patient with him. One of the crewmen even talked my son through the installation process of his own bedroom window and made him feel like he contributed. I recently left a non-favorable review for Joyce Manufacturing. I changed my rating simply because a man name Chad Stuver went out of his way to make everything right. He was willing to come at 6am and install our grab bars, shower head and drain. the shower is beautiful. Joyce Manufacturing is very fortunate to have this individual. He took the time to explain that this was an isolated occurrence. They do not do business this way. He showed true empathy and now my husband can take a shower. I gave them a check for 1/3rd down. a week later they called me and gave me a veiled excuse why they were cancelled the job. Joyce Windows is one of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. I am looking to buy a custom window, that few window companies are able to supply. As a result, my mother has been helping me find window companies that can make cathedral windows. She reached out to Joyce Windows to have them come do an estimate at my house. They supplied an estimate of $3,502 dollars (on June 8th). We then filled out a contract, and I made a deposit of $1052 dollars on MY credit card. From this point on they would not ever get in contact with me (I called the sales guy who came to my house multiple times, and called their headquarters). They would call my mother! She is not the owner of my home, she wasn't involved in the contract, and she did not use her money to pay for the deposit. They then reached out to my mother and asked her to supply pictures of my house and where the windows would go. The estimator should have done this. This was around June 17th. They finally contacted my mother and told her that they would need to charge an additional $800 to install my windows because of scaffolding, which had been included in my original estimate. I am 27 and I consider this a form of ageism, she repeatedly gave them my number and still they did not reach out. My mother then told them that I was no longer interested in the windows. They said they could not refund the money back to my credit card, so they would send me a check. Can you guess who the check was made out to? My mother AND I. I didn't really look at the check until I went to the bank, and it resulted in my having to wait until I saw her again to get her to endorse it. WHY WOULD MY MOTHER'S NAME BE ON THAT CHECK?!?!?!? I highly recommend not going with Joyce Windows, they are the epitome of unprofessional. Also note, that the estimator did not have the right contract, so he used a bathroom contract. The reason I didn't give a more positive rating was one window had a small crack in the corner which I wouldn't have noticed but would affet the seal and cause an issue later. They put vinyl siding on our garage this past summer. It was such a great experience. From the initial visit to the final day of install, everyone was so accommodating. It takes a couple of months to make the order happen, but in the meantime we received a call saying that the windows we had ordered would not easily fit into the area we were looking to put them. My patio door is bigger than normal so it has to be custom made-ok, I knew that.. this guy told me $10,000-$14,000!!!!!! WHAT?!?!!!!! Please do not buy anything from them. Salesmen do everything to get your business and then once contract is done they forget about you. They do not write everything on the contract and the months after the product is ready they leave incomplete projects and blame it on the contract. We contracted to have a small shower replaced in April of 2018 and put $2000.00 down. Was told it would be done by June. We never heard from the salesman again. After calling them in June, they came out to measure for a 2nd time and were told it would take another 2 weeks to gather the necessary materials. After calling them again in July, they came out and in 3 days installed what looked to be a nice shower. However, after running the shower, we noticed it did not completely drain. After calling them on numerous occasions, they came back in Aug. to rework the shower base. Still did not drain. They came back to same they needed a different base. Again, after more phone calls by us, a new base was put in in Sept. Still didn't drain. They came back in Jan. 2of this 019 to change the angle of the base. Still doesn't drain. They should stick to selling and installing windows which they do well. Thru all of this time, they never once called to see if we were satisfied. read more

We are currently in the middle of getting a new roof put on our house and if I could choose 0 stars for this company, I would. We were told the project should take about 3 days and to please account for an extra day here or there if the weather was not ideal. We are now into week 2 of having no roof on our house, a dumpster blocking our entire driveway, and are locked in to working with a company that has no idea how to communicate with its customers. Our lives have been put on hold waiting for this project to be completed. We have taken days off of work, waiting at the house, only to have no one ever arrive (this has happened several times). Wrong materials were ordered. We cannot park in our driveway and must park down the street away from our house. We have had to cart our dogs around town, trying to find a place for them to stay so they aren't terrified during the day due to construction noises.... only to look at our home cameras later in the day and see that no work was done to the house at all. If you enjoy your life being completely turned upside down, having no roof on your home for weeks, and working with a company who has no idea what it is doing, then Joyce is for you. If you are not a fan of those things, then avoid this company at all costs. read more

If I can give you any advice it would be to not use this company. They are way over priced. Their selling point is if the boards crack or anything it under warranty.... well they cracked as soon as he put them up. When brought to their attention they said oh we won't change those until it becomes a tripping hazard. We had nails all over our yard. I have a 1 and 3 year old that would find nails everywhere in the yard. My one year old fell and cut next to his eye open on a nail that was sticking out of the the deck. He would also stop in the middle of playing pick up a nail and crew on it. I should not have this problem when I pay someone so much money to put up my deck. I'm very disappointed in their work. They tore up my yard and never fixed it. Dead grass, dirt everywhere, nails all over and not to mention the guys trash from his lunch. Signed up for free window estimate. Confirmed the appt to come to home. Changed plans and waited for them to show. After waiting and wasting precious evening family time and dinner time they no showed. However half hour late, they called and explained they had overbooked and can not make it out and need to reschedule. Why couldn't they have called hour before? How can you trust a company who can't even show up on the first appointment?. And Doesn't value you enough to postpone appt. waits till your sitting in your house wasting good time on your day off. Perhaps for them to have the inconsideration so much upfront ,Maybe is a blessing in disguise for us. Do yourself a favor and Don't bother with this Cleveland based company.
