And then deal with several other people along the way before the job actually gets completed. After my experience with Window Nation, I don't think I can honestly recommend that anyone else purchase windows from them unless they are prepared to deal with all the hassle up until you get the actual windows. Knock on the door from an ill prepared salesman who said they were in the area that day. Had to haggle about the price and were offered coupon after coupon (price without any of the coupons was astronomical). We were offered a cruise we had to pay for (not a free cruise, only a voucher for a company that offers cruises to people who make large home improvement purchases). Huge lack of communication from the company until the actual day of the install (we had to call them several times about the cruise voucher, about a receipt, about scheduling; things were really only taken care of once the owner of the company got involved and handled things). We were given no direction to move furniture or window treatments prior to installation. Day of install was great, aside from my husband having to move all the furniture out of the way and take all the window treatments down because the installers are not allowed to do any of that, and aren't even allowed to help. Installers were professional and efficient, covered all our stuff with plastic, and didn't leave a mess behind when they left. Seriously, other than the furniture being out of place and the new windows, I would have never known they were there when I got home. So if you choose to go with this company, beware of the process prior to actually getting the windows. The installers are great, the windows are great, but the company itself and the way they handle things can give you a big headache.

It took two months and I had to finish the work myself. Apparently ours was the first house that they had ever done a window replacement for that had vinyl siding. They took five weeks to finish the outside of the house because they needed to order replacement parts that were damaged during removal. They needed eight weeks to get replacement woodwork for the inside because (you guessed it) they damaged it during removal. If I hadn't had to consistently call to find out the status of the job, we'd probably still be waiting to get it finished. COMPLETE AMATEUR HOUR. Do your self a favor and find someone that can do the job right.

We selected the company because we were told multiple crews would be assigned to complete the project quickly. After signing the contract and paying the deposit, we were informed only one crew would be assigned and the installation would take longer than promised. The installation experienced numerous issues, including an incorrect window being installed, missing materials, extended delays, and concerns regarding insulation. Shortly after installation, we noticed significant drafts, increased insect intrusion, and substantially higher heating and cooling costs. A service technician later inspected the installation and immediately identified that the windows had not been properly shimmed, there were gaps around the installations, and no insulation had been installed. Universal Windows Direct sent another crew to address the issue by drilling holes into the window frames and injecting insulation rather than removing and reinstalling the windows. Caulking was also redone. Following extensive discussions regarding the installation deficiencies and increased utility costs, the company provided a $5,000 credit. While these repairs improved some issues, they did not resolve the underlying problems. Over the following years, we continued to experience drafts, elevated heating and cooling costs, and poor window performance. During the winter of 2025-2026, temperature measurements near several windows showed differences exceeding 25 degrees from the home's thermostat setting. In one instance, with the thermostat set at 68 degrees, the temperature near a window measured approximately 42 degrees. A subsequent inspection by another technician identified insufficient insulation around the windows and air leakage associated with prior repair methods. Additional temporary repairs were proposed, but I declined because previous temporary solutions had failed to correct the installation deficiencies. After escalating the matter, I was informed that management had approved a comprehensive correction involving removal and reinstallation of the affected windows. However, when the scheduled crew arrived, they stated they had no documentation regarding the work, no materials had been ordered, and no repairs could be completed. They instead documented the issues and left. Since January 2026, I have repeatedly contacted Universal Windows Direct seeking implementation of the approved corrective work. Multiple appointments have been scheduled, inspections have been performed, measurements have been taken repeatedly, and management has acknowledged communication failures and delays. Despite these efforts, no corrective installation work has been completed. In addition to ongoing energy loss and comfort issues, we also experienced a ceiling leak that was attributed to an improperly sloped window installation. Nearly five years after the original installation, the windows remain improperly installed, utility costs continue to be impacted, and the company has not completed the corrective work it previously approved. I have participated in more than nine service visits and worked with multiple technicians and installation crews in an effort to obtain a proper resolution.

They completed the work, cleaned up everything, emailed us pictures, and sent an invoice. Talk about easy. This could not have gone smoother and we were very pleased with the results. The second was a repair on another project. This fence was already in place and one that was not installed by Wiler Fence Company. We had a leaning fence. Nate provided a quote over the phone, explaining what might need to be done. When the work was done, we called Nate to ask why we did not get an invoice even though he completed the work. Nate explained he was able to repair it without the need to replace any of the posts and there would be no charge. Wow! Needless to say, we will be recommending Wiler Fence Company to everyone we know and will using them on any future new fence installation. I had contacted the Third Estimate about an insurance claim for siding repair from a storm that had down-poured hail. I had high hopes since I had used them 5 years ago for a roof replacement claim and had no issues. Since the roof repair, they have significantly grown and their communication has made a serious dive. I messaged via their social media after a request for a inspection had gone unanswered that I had filled out on their website. The person behind the social media page contacted and said they had no record, even though I had the confirmation from 2 days prior that my request had been sent. Their siding tech Ronnie had come out and was great to deal with. After that, it went way down hill. I had been sent a email from their claims person asking about the insurance claim and asked for the information for my insurance. I responded the next day with all the information, and received no response. I emailed the following day to make sure that they had received what they needed and got a response as yes. A week went by with no update. I had received a letter from my insurance company that they were denying the claim. I then sent another email inquiring about what was going on and received no response. Another week, another email and nothing. It took me sending a response on their social media stating that I will start looking for another company if I cannot get an update. I magically got a response later that day saying the person was out for a few days and that for whatever reason the insurance company didnt get the email from them. They said they would try the Tuesday after Memorial Day. We are now into the second week of June and nothing. At this point im thoroughly disappointed and saddened at the lack of communication and care that they have showed me. I will move on to another company at this point. I have wasted my time. They obviously do not care about doing work for smaller homes or homes that dont match what they post on their social media. I feel like all the recommendations for this company that I had given out to family, friends and coworkers was a waste because as a return customer, i've been let down. I have all the email correspondence and messages saved as well that will show the large gaps in responses and communications. My house is not a $500k house, its a 1950s ranch in Parma, but I should atleast be shown the same respect as other customers. Poor customer service read more

Funny thing, The Third Estimate was truly my third estimate, and I'm glad I waited. Had wind damage to my roof and wasn't sure what was covered. Chuck came out and assured me they work directly with insurance companies to get jobs done the correct way, and that's exactly what they did. They were able to replace my entire roof, do to factors I have no idea about, for just my deductible. The insurance company paid the rest. So a big thank you to Chuck! Now the crew that came out...I've never seen a crew work this hard and get the job done in one day. After tearing off the old roof, the crew had to fill tarps with the old materials and throw them in the dumpster. These guys will fill a tarp and actually run across the roof to get the job done, in 90 degree heat! I went out to check on the roof a few times to see progress, and even though the perimeter was tarped it was a disaster area. But guess what, when they were done, not a spec to be found. I recently purchased a complete roof tear off and new replacement. Although it took a couple months to get State Farm to pay a portion due to hail, and storm damage my purchase went great. Frank my salesman was very courteous and very well versed in his job and handled all the dealing with State Farm ins. The office staff kept me notified and set up date and time for install. The crew was prompt and very hard working. The clean up after job completion was exceptional!! You could not tell I had work done except for the fantastic looking new roof!! I had 6 windows replaced and the entire process was completely painless! From the first visit with the salesman (who was on-time) to the next visit from the measure person (was also on-time) to the actual installation date. The installer took his time and paid such attention to detail that I cannot find a flaw in his work. He also did a nice clean-up job. Besides all of that, the cost came in under what I was expecting. Carlos arrived on time and displayed a great work ethic. He assessed my roof leak and provided expert knowledge of the issue. He explained that our roof overall was in excellent condition. The Third Estimate installed 14 windows, on two floors, into our house. The windows are beautiful and we are happy with them. We can feel the difference in the temperature and have had to turn the thermostat down. Additionally, I open the blinds and shades up each morning. I had a roof leak from this dam Ohio weather. Jack from the The Third Estimate came out today and solved the issue temporarily. It turns out that I have a lot more issues than a simple leak. Jack was able to see my entire roof and did a complete inspection and saw that I had multiple missing tabs and shingles that simply were not sticking. To add further insult, you offer to make repairs only if I agree to pay for the damages 3rd Generation caused. Bond was denied but that doesn't negate the warranty for poor workmanship and trying to pass the cost on to me the customer to get it fixed. The fact remains to this day, there is a failed inspection due to the negligence and the permit remains open for which 3rd Generation has been cited by the city of University Hts.

I contacted Parkhill Roofing Co., Inc., and was provided with a quote that I accepted. Due to weather, I was given an estimated work date. To my surprise, they moved up my date, which I greatly appreciated. All personnel I spoke with (office, roofers, estimator) were courteous and very helpful. The work was completed, and I am very satisfied with Parkhill Roofing and highly recommend this company. Great staff, good pricing, and an all-around excellent experience.

Horrible company. Would give negative stars if possible…read more Due to space limitations we can't give full details or list all the problems, lies, or unprofessional business practices encountered but we'll give the highlights. Contracted with Hinckley Roofing to do tear off and roof replacement on small house. Subcontracted crew only tarped front of house and left other sides exposed. Majority of shingles and debris were thrown off sides and back, not front. Left excessive black marks on vinyl siding and large scratches/gouges on aluminum window trim where shingles hit. Only the front looked mostly okay because of tarp. Siding in very good condition prior to damage they caused. Showed us picture of front with tarp and lied about the rest being tarped until we shared video from security cameras showing shingles raining down against the siding. Their solution was to scrub each streak and power wash the siding, destroying the surface so there were glaring shiny and dull patches alternating across sides and back of house. This was unacceptable to us. Met with them again and were told if we gave it 6 months we wouldn't be able to tell; it would even out. Gave it 6 months and it looks worse. Roof cost just over $9,200. Bids from siding companies were all higher than that amount but Hinckley would only offer half the cost in credit for damages. Said anything more would be unfair to them. When we didn't accept their offer, we were told they'd put lien on house and we could work it out with their insurance company then. Deadline for filing valid lien had passed after so much time but they would file anyway. The only way we could get lien removed then would be to hire attorney and file a lawsuit to have lien invalidated. We opted to take their low offer and be done with them.

We have used Karbella for tuck pointing and roof replacement prior to our latest project but this…read morewill be our last time. Once we paid the 1/2 payment for tuck pointing and gutter replacement it took nearly 2 months to complete. While we could tolerate the delays it was unacceptable that they NEVER returned any phone calls inquiring about start times but then workers just showed up with out any notification. In all fairness the work was done ok but there was certainly a problem with communication. They did send the invoice for the remaining balance out in 48hrs.
