He did all further communication and negotiations with our insurance adjuster and the process began quickly. Orlando was the person who handled the everyday rebuild of the garage and interior work. The team showed up as scheduled, working Saturdays and sometimes well into the evenings. I always knew the game plan and was updated several times a day. My home was left as clean as possible, the craftsmanship is meticulous, and the team went above and beyond to get us back into our home. Orlando and Tony keep everything moving smoothly and efficiently. They installed a new roof on my garage (excellent), they repaired/installed gutters on my garage, they installed screens on all my gutters to keep out leaves (their gutter guy Joe handled his business), Last year they installed 23 new windows in my house (Mike did an excellent job on the install) Good quality windows provided by SureRoof.. They recently (October 2022)installed vinyl siding on my house and garage (beautiful work). (Their siding guy Ted is truly a pro that takes pride in his work, his trim work is impeccable). And lastly Carmen the receptionist, so sweet and always a pleasure to talk too, she answers your questions and if she doesn't have the answer she always finds out and calls right back, she never leaves you hanging. I was referred to him by…read moresomeone he attends church with - admittedly, this person did not know how Jared did business and hadn't had work done by him before. It was a blind trust type of situation - lesson learned! Jared said he serviced homes in the Akron area - which appeared to be a major inconvenience to him and not really the truth. He was supposed to do the roof, gutters, and siding. The roof was completed quickly, and I'm openly admitting that he did it without payment in advance (this was an insurance claim so he knew the money was coming). He said "okay I don't care how we do it as long as I get payment and a 5 star review". He also called the person who referred me and discussed the business and claim for my home with this person. This person has never lived at my home and I am the sole owner. Very inappropriate. I will add that one of the shingles was extremely discolored and I was told it would come off with the rain. I knew it wouldn't and after a good rain, and the persistent discoloration, I had them replace it. Additionally, the extra materials were left on my front lawn for days longer than they said. This should have been taken after the job was done but the on site project manager, Andrew, could not be bothered with it on the day the roof was completed, apparently. The gutters and siding were a complete disaster. He had me calculate what he was as owed but as he inflated the gutters and siding on his estimate, nothing was matching up. This took hours of my time away from my family when he is the professional being paid to do this work. Personally, I do not think HE has handled insurance claims before. He was very uninformed about many of the common homeowner's practices and left the work to me, the paying customer. He told me the siding had to be done before the gutters. Then two days later, his "project manager", Andrew, called and said they had a cancellation and they were coming to do my gutters. We had not agreed on the gutters or the siding yet but they were pushing to complete the work per their estimate - which was inflated and included items that were not damaged. This would have left me with significant out of pocket costs. I saw in another 1 star review that he said "we do not submit fraudulent claims". However, he submitted downspout damage (all 6 downspouts on my home) to my insurance company - not a single downspout was damaged. He also inflated the siding estimate by adding additional itemized things that were included in the line item already on the estimate - in other words, charging twice for siding. I would implore any perspective customers (and even past customers because likely you overpaid) to review all estimates and contracts with a fine tooth comb before proceeding with this company. On top of the inflated estimate, he spoke to me extremely unprofessionally, calling into question my knowledge of the process and the work. Having worked in the insurance industry for over 15 years, I found this to be extremely condescending. And he ended up doing the things I thought needed done anyway - because it was the right thing to do. But not after much back and forth, including a rude phone call that I had to disconnect. Additionally, there were multiple times we tried to connect via phone. He told me to call to discuss the numbers (again, the work I did for him) but when I called, he legitimately said "what's up" and acted like he didn't know why I was calling. He was adamant about a zoom call but when I would call him, he would blow me off and tell me to text him. When I brought this all up to him after letting him know I did not want him doing any additional work, he apologized and acknowledged the delays but then blamed the delays mostly on his newborn baby. As a full time single parent who did the newborn and baby stage solo, that was the most pitiful excuse I've ever heard. Additionally, it's insulting to me that he would think I would feel having a newborn is an excuse for how he conducted himself. After we spent awhile on the phone and finalized a plan for what documents were needed and how payment would be handled, he then text asking to come by and pick up the check and that he would print all the documents because he wanted to "honor his customers". I now realized he just didn't want a bad review - if he cared about his customers, he would have done right by me the entire process. But that's not the case. He earned this review. Absolutely abhorrent business practices and no follow through on expectations set. I would never recommend this company, nor will the person who referred me. Not looking for a response from radiant roofing on this - I do have receipts for everything stated above - but I do want to warn potential customers about his business practices and lack of time management/organization.

It's been 2 years since they did my neighbors roof. I live in a townhome so our homes are…read moreadjacent. They did not account for the 3-story height of the home as they threw shingles off and they landed on my newly powder coated (offsite) front steps all the way to my front door, and on a brand new deck and new patio table and chairs. I'm writing today because I noticed my painted metal patio table and chairs that were all scratched as a result of flying metal and shingles (as was my newly painted front railing) are showing premature wear as a result. My sandstone steps also had black marks from landing shingles. When I spoke to them about all the debris and damage they all but suggested it wasn't their fault. They asked me to email photos which I did and never heard back. I was too upset to pursue any further action at the time. One thing they did do was show up the next day unannounced and started sanding the black marks off my front sandstone steps. When you see the photos keep in mind they were working next door not at my home!!

From start to finish Mike facilitated the process and made sure it went without a hitch. Having never replaced a roof or worked with insurance to cover wind damage, I didn't know where to begin. Mike worked with the insurance adjuster and looked out for my interests at every turn. The team removed the old roof and installed a gorgeous new roof in one day! They cleaned up every last scrap and nail, and provided beautiful drone pictures of both the process and the end product. I requested commercial sized gutters with screens. They added flash barriers for points where the roof pitch could result in excess flow. My father has called twice to tell me how impressed he was with the workmanship, service and end result. Honestly, Kearns roofing and Mike Nicely were so good and efficient, I worried it was a scam and I was going to be stuck with a terrible bill. In the end, it cost me LESS than estimated because Mike did a great job working with the insurance company! He saved me thousands of dollars and the quality of work is exceptional. UPDATE January 2021: Somehow, Barnes Roofing managed to pull off a second miracle for me. I recently had a high-efficiency furnace installed, and the exhaust pipe from the old furnace needed removed. The HVAC team doesn't do that, as it involves roofing repairs. (I probably should have thought of this, but didn't. Lessons learned.) Anyhow - one call to Barnes Roofing, and my situation was resolved just over a week later. I can hardly believe they got this done in flipping January. Very grateful for companies like this!! Would give more than 5 stars if possible. December 2020: A friend recommended Barnes Roofing, and I am so glad I called them. My wife noticed a leak from our roof that was already pushing 30 years old, so we called out some…read morecompanies to take a look and get some estimates on the work. Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.
