We were recommended by a friend to consider Bright Covers when we were finishing off a recent remodel. The cover is not as large as we could have used, we did cut down on size because of the cost. The quality of the product is excellent, and the fact that we were able to have the product manufactured locally is also a big selling point. Our family believes in "shopping local". We started the process late summer '24, and from the beginning we told the salesman we wanted to secure the "referral bonus" that was advertised. Just as a "heads up" some may feel skeptical with the sales part - as you do get discounts if you pay up front. I was not anticipating to write a large check the day the guy first came out here, but it was clearly to our benefit to do so. We had researched the company, the product, and had a referral from a trusted friend, so we moved forward from Day 1. This is a bit unnerving to me when discussing thousands of dollars. I was sure to mention multiple times in conversations from the very beginning in the ordering process, to installation, to follow-up, that we were referred by this friend of ours. She had really gone out of her way to invite us over to take a look, answered questions, and gave us a good "run down" - I feel like she earned the money! The company clearly advertises $175.00 referral bonus. During our dealings with Bright Covers, I made multiple calls because it became embarrassing to me that every time I saw my friend I would ask her if she got the referral fee and it had still not come. Now that it is March, and this all started last summer, I got very firm in a phone call about this referral money. I really hate having to do this because you know the person on the other end of the phone is bearing the brunt of something they probably knew nothing about. Our friend did get the check this week. The representative I spoke to was discussing how they are currently working to fix the process regarding referrals. She was excellent in helping me resolve the issue. It's early in the game to discuss durability of this cover/ We had a pretty lousy winter here, the weight of the snow was a non-issue. I have to say so far it has been money well spent - it is beautiful, the quality seems to be amazing, and we are hoping for many years of enjoying our time out on the patio! read more

If this is too long, the summary is - aggressive sales tactics that seem scripted and made me feel uncomfortable. I would have been pretty likely to buy the product had the "free estimate" not ended in such an unprofessional and uncomfortable way. Was excited to have a Bright Covers rep come to my house yesterday as I had researched the product and felt it was a good fit. Since they don't give estimates over the phone (understandably, there are quite a few factors that influence the price, many of which a consumer would not know), Tom came out to discuss the project. When I scheduled the free estimate, I was told it would be an hour. Tom arrives, we go over the product and he helps envision what I want for the back patio. I was actually excited and feeling positive about the product. Keep in mind, I was told this would be an hour and we are over 90 minutes into the process. At this time I inform him that it's later than expected and I only had 5 minutes before I had to leave. Tom then reviews the estimate with me and while it was a lot of money, it was in the ball park I was expecting. After reviewing the estimate with Tom, I told him I wasn't willing to make a decision today or put down any money and this is where things went south. He begins telling me that prices can change and they cannot guarantee the estimate without money down (fair, I work in an industry with ever increasing prices). He would also need to come out again to take the deposit and remeasure (even if the plan didn't change). His company does not like him to do that and after all, he drove an hour and 15 minutes to come to my house (ummm, not my problem). Keep in mind, we are almost at the two hour mark and I need to leave. But he asks me to just hold on a second as he he "spontaneously" calls who I believe was his manager. Described the project and all of the sudden, its 2500 less and I can leave a lower % deposit. When I tell Tom that I still do not want to make a decision today, his demeanor really changed. He began to lose his patience and professionalism, repeatedly questioning why I wasn't ready to make a decision today (sooooo many reasons, but mainly not willing to commit to a 30k project at the drop of a hat) and kept stating that most people don't do it because of money and the 2500 was the best he could do. But I would only get the 2500 off and reduced deposit if I agreed to it TODAY. If when I had said "no," he had handed me his business card and said, call me if you change your mind, I probably would have gone forward with the project. But, I cannot, in good conscience, support a business that employs these tactics. Bright Covers - no means no! read more

I am very pleased with my new porch roof! Having the transulcent roof was the major selling point for me since I don't get a huge amount of natural light in my backyard. This lets more light into my rooms adjacent to the porch. I felt the cost was in line with a conventional roof. The materials and installation are great. The office team and the installers were professional and easy to work with. The lines are clean and light, but the materials are high quality and look good. We recently had a sales representative from Bright Covers come to our home to provide an estimate for a backyard patio cover. The rep was extremely pushy and conducted a high-pressure sale. We received a 'today only' price which was supposedly a 'great deal' - but it truly was not. The rep used every sales person trick in the book, creating a very volatile environment. Needless to say, we did not choose Bright Covers for our project. I would not recommend this company, they need to review their sales pitches and conduct themselves in a more professional, friendly manner. I LOVE my Bright Cover's roof! From start to finish, the salesman, 3 installers and customer service treated me with the utmost respect and professionalism, listening to my needs and adjusting accordingly. The 3 installers were extremely knowledgeable, worked well together, and completed the job quickly! The roof matches beautifully with my home's decor,,, not to mention it withstood one of my home's biggest problems. My home is situated in an area where, for whatever reason, it gets hit constantly with torrential winds. This roof not only looks good and is a quality product, but it also withstood several 65 mph wind storms without budging (like the 5 others it replaced). Those were my true test! BrightCovers did an excellent job on our deck cover. The installers were awesome, finished in one day, despite extremely cold weather. The office staff also kept us informed of the status of our project while we waited on materials and permitting. Everyone at BrightCovers was helpful and professional. Working with BrightCovers has been very good up until the installation. While I love their product and the folks worked with until now, I have not been able to get anyone on the phone to ask about installation of a shade (as seen in one of the photos here). I have called twice and emailed once and no luck. Need to improve your customer service folks! And a follow-up call after installation would have been nice. read more

My husband and I were SO excited about getting an estimate and possibly moving forward with Bright Covers for our backyard covering. A sales representative came to our home and was very nice to start out. He took measurements, explained the materials, showed us many pictures, let us feel the materials, and went over pricing - the typical process of getting a quote/estimate. Everything was going well so far...once the pricing was shared (a "today only" price, 30 day price, and 1 year price), I was shocked initially. These covers are very expensive, but I also am not naïve that nice and durable things are expensive. I told the sales man that my husband and I needed to discuss it privately and would let him know our decision as it would be a large investment. The salesman said "I've been doing this for awhile, the three things you both will probably talk about is the quality, how I represented the company, and finances". I told him it only came down to finances since this was a high dollar price. He insisted on calling his boss to bring the price down to gain our business - which he was successful in lowering it. Even though he lowered it $2,000, we still needed to privately discuss it. The salesman offered to step outside for us to talk. I again told him we would get back to him to let him know since my husband had to get back to work...and this definitely was a decision that was going to take longer than 5 minutes to discuss. After saying that, the salesman IMMEDIATELY turned his attitude around and got VERY rude. I said I would let him know later in the day and he acted like he had to have an answer that moment. He loudly stacked his belongings and walked out. He did not thank us for our time, did not shake our hand (and yes, he shook it when we initially met), and did not say goodbye. When you are charging almost $16,000.00 on something, OF COURSE you cannot expect someone to make a decision in that moment. Needless to say, just because of that attitude we will NOT be going with Bright Covers. VERY unprofessional. read more

My wife wanted to build a cedar pergola over our front porch to help block some of the afternoon sun as it was making our front doors extremely hot and untouchable. I really wanted something that would block more rain and sun. After researching what was available for some time, I liked the construction and warranty of the Bright Cover best. (Plus I didn't have to build it or maintain it!) While we were skeptical we agreed to a sales visit as it is the only way to get a quote. I understand that trying to do this over the phone would be difficult and actually our plan changed several times during the design and negotiation. I deal with a lot of sales people in my job and I know it is a tough occupation in some respects. The day of the visit was full of driving rain but we managed to come up with a plan that was mutually satisfactory. We did negotiate price some due to the changes in our design. We paid half down and were to pay the other half upon completion of the job. Our install date moved around a little and I wanted to be home during the install. Ironically, we had severe tornadoes the night before the crew was to arrive. My home was spared but our neighborhood was littered with insulation and roofing material. The install guys called to make sure we were still a go and were a few hours away. They managed to get to us despite several roads being closed. They were great to work with and are obviously good craftsmen. We confirmed the details of our install and they went to work. I visited with them throughout and watched as they fit, assembled, and constructed our cover. I am a maintenance manager for an automotive plastics supplier and am very detail oriented. I also had to convince my wife this was a good investment so I wanted to be certain it was well constructed and I didn't have to hear about it for years to come if she was unhappy! Everything fit well and all the details were attended to. The guys explained each step I inquired about and were very thorough. They did a great job with cleanup and were a real pleasure to work with. I work with a lot of service people and recognize quality when i see it. These guys were great. We made our final payment and said goodbye. We have had our Bright Cover for about a month now and my wife has expressed to me several times how happy she is with it. It has changed the look of our home and made it appear more modern and sleek. We will be changing some other details to complete the transformation. We have had a lot rain and high winds this last month and I have no complaints. It is a good product and fit our needs very well. Several of my neighbors have inquired about it so I believe the Bright Cover market share will be growing in my area. read more

I called them up during the COVID-19 pandemic and left a message a few days later for a call and set up a virtual meeting. The sale person was very knowledgeable about the products. And we finally decided on a structure and price. Then in 3 weeks I called because I was following up and they were able to give me a time and date. Jeff came out and remeasured and we made final decisions. He came back the fill week with his co worker and wow within 4 hours my patio was transformed! We couldn't be more happy !! Jeff is extremely knowledgeable about product and they were great guys in general. But I was most impressed that they cleaned up after themselves and all I had to do was decorate! Worth the money. This is 2020. They cannot be serious. This is not a company with which I wish to to conduct business. I read another review from 2018 stating the same thing. And they gave a lovely answer as this is not how they conduct business. Two years later the same thing. Obviously, it is how they conduct their business. We had a BrightCover installed over our deck in January of this year. Upon completion we were extremely pleased with the final results. The system looks very elegant and professional. All of the aluminum components are visually pleasing and very strong and durable. We recently had a storm with over a foot of snow and the entire structure is solid. We were amazed that during the installation the two installers were actually walking on top of the lexan roof panels. The entire process from the initial sales visit to the final measurements and install were top notch and organized. BrightCovers even secured the necessary city builders permits and approval from our neighborhood association. We are looking forward to using our BrightCover once the weather warms and we would highly recommend their services.
