I've never stepped into a Joybird location but heard good things from a few friends. I needed a sofa rather quickly so I ordered a Miller sleeper sofa online in Key Largo teal and also the fabric swatches. My swatches came in and I ended up liking a different color. Customer service said because it's been in production for 4 days. I cannot switch the color. I told them I could pay an extra switching fee but they didn't even entertain that. Now I don't know if I'll even like the couch. Lesson learned, Joybird doesn't allow switching unless it's 24-48 hours after the order. I wish their swatches came in faster so I could have better observed the colors and texture. read more

Do not order from this company if you expect any customer service issue to be resolved without paying the full price of another one to return it and pay their restocking fee!! Anywhere else would have a better resolution. I received a chair that I was very disappointed in (gray instead of mocha latte and did not swivel, which I needed) and nothing could be done short of paying enough to buy another one. Visited the showroom because we were hesitant to order a couch online. They made the process great! Most of joybird's products (or variants of their products) are available to try out in the store, along with swatches. We were able to figure out what we wanted and order the same day. The real hero of the story though is Ross, the store manager. We had a problem with our delivery (not joybird's fault) and Ross was able to resolve it for us pretty quickly. It was just excellent customer service that we really appreciated! As far as the couch goes, we love our couch! It's really comfy and something that can definitely grow with us over time. read more

Do not buy! Have owned the Preston chair for 2 months. Took 3 months to arrive. The main center support of the frame is sliding up and down. You can hear it move and have to push it back up from underneath. Nails or screws on the inside of the armrest are about to pierce the material and stick out. read more

West Elm Sectional Review - Disappointed by Quality and Service   I purchased a sectional from West Elm in 2021, and from the very beginning, there were issues. Delivery was a hassle, and once it arrived, the connecting hardware--made of plastic--didn't function properly. We reached out to West Elm, and to their credit, they did send someone out who replaced the plastic hardware with metal connectors. However, one corner of the sectional consistently disconnected, and we never understood why--until now.   Fast forward to May 2025: that same corner had been gradually sinking closer and closer to the floor. Recently, it got so low that the metal connecting hardware could no longer hold. I flipped the section over to investigate, and what I found was incredibly frustrating. The bottom frame at that corner was pushed in. When I contacted West Elm, their response was simply, "It's out of warranty, there's nothing we can do. We can give you the number for a handyman." I've used handyman services for store furniture repairs before, and they rarely provide high-quality work. So I decided to open it up and repair it myself.   What I saw inside was honestly shocking. 1. There was no support structure beneath the frame in that area. 2. The bottom board was attached with a nail gun, but most of the nails completely missed the board.  It's no wonder that corner had been sinking from the start. The construction of this $3,000 sectional was unbelievably cheap. The workmanship was sloppy and corners were clearly cut. If I had bought this from a local discount furniture store, I might have expected this level of quality--but from West Elm? You're paying for the name, the showroom presentation, and the marketing--not for quality.   Bottom line: The couch looks great on the outside, but what's inside is subpar at best. I expected better from a company like West Elm. read more

Had a really dissapointing experience with the company, specifically with the delivery that was delayed 4 times in one day causing me and my wife having to scramble for last minute child care. To add to the frustration, the couch was never taken out of the boxes by the crew. They just left the pieces standing there in the middle of the room. Initially, the company responded to my complaint and the manager from Manhattan store-Jessica, stated that she is very sorry and offered to compensate us in some way but after the initial communication, we never heard from her again despite emails and voicemails left. I was not expecting that when I ordered the couch for over $5000 from Joybird. I rarely do it but I am going to BBB and will consider other actions. read more

Quality control is absolutely laughable. 12 Hughes leather sectionals were ordered - comes in 24 boxes. Both left and right chaise models. Out of the 24 boxes, 4 of them were mislabeled leaving us with half sectionals.. Another 8 of the 24 pieces once unboxed had big dents in the side of them from the clearly not well thought out packaging system. A big styrofoam block that just leaves a big rectangle imprint in the leather on the end of the sectional. Out of the 12 sectionals, 6 of them (HALF OF THE ENTIRE ORDER) was either A: missing hardware, or B: wobbly once installed, or threads in the bolts would not go, or the holes were drilled backwards so the legs would not fit on, or the nuts inside would break off leaving no way to instal the legs without going to buy our own supplies and being a furniture repair service ourselves for our own products. Yes you read correctly. Out of 12 sectionals: -2 sectionals arrived with the incorrect sections. -4 sectionals (8 sections) arrived with huge dents in the leather. -6 sectionals either had missing hardware or were unsellable without repair. If you are a designer I hope you are reading this. Do not buy from Joybird as their score is literally a fail and you will endure a mountain of frustration with this cheap company with zero quality control. Joybird you are an embarrassment and I hope you figure it out. Maybe stop making everything in Mexico. read more

I think their two-star overall rating and multiple one-star ratings (which is low as you can go) says it all. This is a terrible company with terrible products and terrible customer service. They brag about their BBB rating, but if you look closely, there are hundreds of complaints. Their social media accounts are full of unhappy customers and Reddit will tell you why. I wasted $3,000. Ordering is easy. Getting it delivered is a nightmare. Took almost 2 months for a desk to arrive and then the delivery people said they could not fit it through the front door of a standard house. Other companies delivering large furniture to us like couches have passed it through our very large front window, but joy bird has a no window policy. If they say it doesn't fit in your door they then charge you a 50% restocking fee. read more
