You don't want all the different shapes for your rugs. Rectangles and circles are basically it. Here at Industry City, Dorge was my dude. He had his people pull out the three different rugs we were considering in the size stack we liked so we could see them out on a floor. This is NOT an easy process, and I would've really felt a little bad not buying a rug after seeing the labor involved in pulling the rugs out,...but luckily we wanted one of them. He was super nice, knew his business, and gave us a little bit of a deal. These are not the most affordable rugs in the world, but they're also not the most expensive. Was at the store yesterday - its a paler and drastically reduced image of what ABC (near Union Square and the Bronx stores) were. Staff was very dismissive of my questions on carpets, saying, "No, no, no - we don't have that", instead of offering options or the website. Hope this wasn't stereotyping a brown customer a high priced setting! read more

They will NEVER get another dime of my money. I've loved ABC carpet and home for years. I still have furniture that I purchased from their Bronx outlet years ago. The new owners have DESTROYED the ABC carpet and home reputation. In Oct 2021 while shopping at the outlet in Brooklyn mwith a friend I saw a sofa I loved. Came back in December 2021 chose a fabric and ordered the sofa. I was given a June 2022 delivery, which I understood because of the supply chain issues. In the meantime I did a living room updated based on the sofa that is coming. In April I called to check delivery status ,they confirmed all is well for June. First week in May I received an email that the sofa was ready and we scheduled a delivery for May 10th. Delivery was amazing... Loved the sofa but the cushions seemed off. On May 17th I called because the cushions weren't touching, there was a space between them. Sent photos as requested. No response from them. Following week I had some folks over and the sofas front part of the frame broke. Called and received a run around for 2 months. After they finally admitted that the style sofa I special ordered has a defect. Meanwhile, the sofa with the known defect was still available in the store. Finally when I said if the sofa wasn't repaired immediately I want it picked up and my credit card refunded. All of a sudden they have a technician that will come to my home and repair it. Last week he came and repaired it and instructed that I wait 72 hours before using it. Which I did and so far it is fine. The only reason I gave a 2 star review is because the young lady that finally answered the customer service line was pleasant and helpful. I think her name is Tanesha(sorry if it is spelled incorrectly), she tried to assist and stood by her word when she said she would call back. So disappointed. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. CONSIDER THIS A PSA. ABC WAS PURCHASED LAST FALL BY A NEW OWNER. WORST RETAIL EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD, EVER. I came to the store in Industry City today after not being able to get anyone on the phone for weeks. I've been an ABC customer for 30 years. I explained to the sales person that a large carpet I'd purchased this past summer was staining too easily - even a teaspoon of water causes a permanent stain in my overdyed carpet. The salesperson claimed "the story is not ABC anymore". Ok - I didn't realize. But hey, it looks like ABC, says ABC, etc. The salesperson called a manager who came out, obviously angry at being disturbed. "Maam, we are not ABC, we can't do anything to help you. We bought the company out of bankruptcy." I asked "Can you at least advise me on what to do about these stains?". He said '"We would have no idea" (!!) and when I said incredulously "you mean no one in this store would know anything about my issue," he said "it doesn't take a PhD to work in a carpet store." Clearly, the ABC so many of us knew and loved for so many years, is no more and in its stead are new, nasty owners who care nothing about customers and will surely ruin the legacy of the ABC name. read more

I had such a wonderful experience buying rugs here. Don't be afraid of coming to what we often see as a high price tag store. This location has rugs in every price range. Best of all, the staff is super knowledgeable and super helpful. On my first visit I happened to encounter one of ABC's higher level managers, Rick Jacobs. In addition to being very patient and helping me to go through a ton of rugs, he offered great conversation about BK and NYC, past and present. One of the rugs Rick helped me pick turned out to be too small for my space (my fault not his0, so back I went. On my second visit I was lucky enough to work with David Rosario. David made the return easy and he too was super knowledgable and patient. He helped me pick the perfect rug for my space. David was also really bright and had a great eye for which rug was going to work magic in my room. Yeah to Rick and David. Thank you for being awesome. read more
