Bought almost 10K worth of furniture from them last year and had some of the same problems with delays that others have discussed here but in the end everything showed up and was fine. I ordered a new Love Seat to match some chairs I had from them and it showed up on time but the first time I sat on it it fell apart, literally. Both side of the wooden frame fell away from the couch. Upon inspection the Love Seat parts were never even glued together, just test assembled to make sure everything fit and then shipped. Also, the wood they use now is very sub standard, not the same wood they used to build the matching chairs and substantially lighter and weaker. It's not a hardwood but more like the rubber wood they use to build furniture in Malaysia and Vietnam (which I'm beginning to suspect this is where the furniture came from). I contacted JOYBIRD 3 TIMES NOW, sent multiple photos of the damaged cheap furniture and I have gotten ONE response in 3 weeks with a link to a broken page on their site to file a complaint and that's it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS SITE. There are plenty of other online furniture companies that are creating much better pieces at much more affordable prices and who will answer you if you contact them. This could be a much better company if they could at least PRETEND to care about their customers and the products they produce. read more

I recently went to the Joybird showroom in Brooklyn (445 Albee Square W) to look at fabrics in person. Lauren R was phenomenal. She answered all my questions, had expert knowledge of the product and made excellent suggestions. I went in looking for fabric for the Bryant Daybed and ended up buying the Heine sectional as well!! She also gave me her card and was immediately responsive to follow up questions. A+ customer service! read more

Do NOT order from this company. We ordered a bed from them in February. They cancelled the delivery the day of. We had to cancel the order and REorder. The bed was then sent with instructions and hardware for a BOOKSHELF. I've been on the phone with THREE customer service reps in the past week and a half. The first told me the hardware was being sent. The second told me the parts were being "sourced" and would then be sent. The third told me the parts were STILL being sourced. In order to speak with management I was told I had to be put in a queue and it would take 48 - 72 hours FOR SOMEONE TO GET BACK TO ME. This is on an order that cost $2000. Buyer beware. For those considering buying a Joybird product please read my entire review. It's been over a year since I was sent a leather armchair that was previously damaged and repaired (I paid for a new chair) and they continue to refuse to stand behind their product. I notified Joybird immediately and requested a replacement but instead, they sent a repair person to assess the situation and that's when I learned that the chair had been previously repaired. He told me the chair should be returned and replaced with a new one because it could not be repaired again. After months of trying to get a response from Joybird I was told the color was no longer in production so I would need to choose a different color for a replacement. The armchair was purchased with a matching leather sofa which was a bummer but I agreed to choose a different color but they never sent the promised swatches. After calling and emailing many, many, many times they failed to respond or send the swatches. They simply just didn't care and refuse to stand behind their product. I have purchased many Joybird products, 3 couches, the arm chair in question and a coffee table. I'm shocked at their lack of care and professionalism and will keep spreading the word. I have given up trying to get the chair replaced, the hours I've spent and aggravation I've experienced is just not worth it. This is the biggest waste of money ever because while it looks stylish when you get it, it is zero percent functional and starts looking as cheap as it is within a couple of months. BUYER BEWARE This is second complaint against Joybird. They initially lost my furniture. Customer Service was horrible throughout that ordeal. I contacted the BBB and Joybird magically found my furniture the next day and had it shipped to me. HOWEVER, when it arrived it was damaged. The arm of the chair was scratched. I contacted them and sent pictures of the damage. Their response was to send me a marker to fill in the scratches myself and give me $40. This is absolutely ridiculous on a chair that cost over $800. Joybird claims to have a Satisfaction Guaranteed Policy and a Return Policy but they are not offering that to me. I have once again filed a claim with the BBB. This whole experience with Joybird has been a joke. I do not want other people to have to go through this. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. If you are looking for couches, go elsewhere. Your several thousand dollar investment means nothing to Joybird, which cannot fulfill your order or provide adequate customer support. If you do place an order, expect to wait months to receive it (7 for me) and spend countless hours attempting to get in contact with anyone should you need support. I placed an order over 6 months ago that has not been delivered, and I have spent weeks attempting to contact Joybird for support, which has been nearly impossible. I placed an order in May of 2021 for a Lewis Sectional, with an initial delivery estimate of late July. The estimate was pushed to late August, which is understandable amidst the supply chain issues facing the country during COVID. Late August comes and goes, and weeks later I am without a couch, any contact from Joybird, or a new delivery estimate. Mid-September I begin attempting to contact the company for an update. It takes weeks of calling the support line daily, sending emails, and writing to the company's social media accounts before I finally get in touch with a Joybird employee in early October who lets me know that half of my couch has been lost in shipping. They schedule a delivery for half of my couch, which I receive, and let me know they will have to remake my second half, which I should receive in 3-4 weeks. It has now been 6 weeks and I have heard nothing. I spent the past 4 days trying to get in touch, only just getting Joybird on the phone today. The company never placed my replacement order, and they now want me to wait an additional 4 weeks to receive it. If, and that is a big IF, I actually receive this couch, it will be at minimum 7 months after the time that I placed an order. read more

Swatches take sooooooo soooooo so incredibly long to arrive. Give yourself at least a month to order them and then decide if after all that waiting, the lack of updates from Joybird, etc, if it's worth it to you to even work with this company. They have thousands of my dollars and email me every day to ask me if I want to complete my order, but I can't because the swatches haven't arrived. If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT ORDER FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY. Their stuff is not cheap and their customer service is the worst i have encountered. I ordered my bed last November. It took forever to ship and when it arrived, the delivery people informed me that they could not put it together because it was defective. I called Joybird, and they didn't answer but the message said to accept delivery and that they would address the situation. The next week, after calling and emailing many times with no response they told me that because I accepted delivery I now had to go through their "warranty department." I had to find their warranty form and fill it out to submit a claim and after some time they sent a repair man who also said that he could not fix the bed because it was defective (which is what the first had said over a month earlier). I had to place several more calls to get them to order a replacement part for the bed. They said it would take 4-6 more weeks and that there was nothing they could do to expedite that. Meanwhile I had been sleeping on the floor at this point for almost 6 months and the bed laying in my room in pieces. Waited 6 weeks and then a small box arrived in the mail with some screws and nuts and bolts in it and Joybird starts saying Ok the replacement part has arrived and now we will send the repairman back. I had to call again and wait on hold for an hour to tell them that this little box of screws they took 6 weeks to send was not the replacement part. They said sorry our mistake, the replacement part should be shipped out this week. That was over a week ago and I have heard no more. It has now been over 7 months since I ordered this expensive bed, that I've been sleeping on the floor and for almost 4 months of that had a defective bed in pieces in my room. Awww, why all the hate for Joybird? My experience may have been an anomaly, but my order was delivered a full two weeks BEFORE it was scheduled. So, consider me a satisfied customer! The showroom itself is great - I came in a few months ago since I found myself in the area while visiting friends in Brooklyn. I'd been considering a Joybird couch after marveling at the beauty of a family member's sofa. I found the model I wanted right then & there in the showroom, and ordered the absurdly impressive free swatch kit when I got home. They seriously send you dozens and dozens of wonderful fabrics representing different tiers of quality - for my purposes, I needed something as pet-proof and stain-proof as they come! I opted to spend an extra $300 on a Sunbrella fabric and I'm so glad I did. The ordering process was seamless, you can *always* find a 30% off coupon, and Joybird sends you updates at every stage in the build/assembly process. I scheduled the delivery for a week after a mid-July conference I was attending (they initially wanted to deliver while I was away) but somehow, magically, I got an update asking to schedule the order for a few weeks sooner. Yesterday, the couch arrived and I'm absolutely smitten! For the customization, size, and quality, it's well worth the money. SAVE YOUR $, overpriced, with terrible customer service!! Joy Bird staff lied to me before I made my order and while I was making the order. More than one Joy Bird staff member told me that all I had to do was call or email after the order was placed so the factory would install the brackets to fit my HOLT pieces together to make the sofa intended from the modular HOLT pieces. After I placed the order, Joy Bird changed their tune and refused to install the brackets. Then, Joy Bird staff told me both verbally and in an email that the brackets and instructions to install the brackets would be sent with the HOLT pieces. Joy Bird called to set up delivery of ALL of the HOLT pieces in my order AND the brackets. I was not given delivery time options. I only received a recording stating the time- 11 AM to 2 PM. I took the day off. They came at 2:45. One of the HOLT pieces from my order was missing (the Right arm piece). Which I did not find out until everything else was already in my house. The delivery people did not have a # to call to their own warehouse to find out where the missing HOLT piece was, or to discuss when I could expect it to be delivered. Instead of brackets and instructions, I was left with two unidentifiable pieces of metal, 4 bolts, and no "instructions", just a piece of paper with a rudimentary drawing of a Holt piece with a dotted line pointing to two dots on the side of the furniture and a separate picture of a bolt going into one of the pieces of metal. No idea what is supposed to happen with the other piece of metal (do I have two bottom pieces of the brackets? Is it a full bracket? How does it fit together? How do two pieces of metal form brackets for 3 pieces of furniture? Are there missing pieces of metal just like missing pieces of the furniture I ordered?) When I called Joy Bird, I was told "the reason there are no "instructions" is because that paper is for the "technicians", and they already know how to put on the brackets." Joy Bird did not offer to send instructions or a "technician". Joy Bird had no idea what happened to the other piece of my "sofa". I noticed most of the negative reviews are for the couches, which makes sense for people who will mostly buy online, but I wanted to leave a 5-star review for the actual Joybird store in Downtown Brooklyn, NY. The sales person (Meghan, I think?) was super helpful and informative about all of their couches, materials, and how things like cleaning, pets and regular use will impact the different materials they have. Did not feel rushed or pressured into making a purchase right there, which was nice. Learned a lot and felt that while people may have different opinions about the actual product, the store itself is great as are the employees. read more

You think, Nah, that's FIVE HOURS! That can't possibly be right; the line just opened. After all, what company would record such a message, let alone allow it to be played? But eventually you will come to realize that it is entirely likely that every single person who has ordered from Joybird is indeed trying to get in touch with customer service. You decide to keep your place in the queue and then you're treated to a repetitive tone designed by the CIA to torture foreign spies into talking (and which La-Z-Boy acquired to get pesky customers to hang up from its customer service line). This, in addition to unanswered emails, is the Joybird experience. See this long, long...LONG line of one-star reviews? Believe them. You'd think that after the New York Time's Wirecutter site rescinded its earlier recommendation of this company that it would have gotten someone's attention at La-Z-Boy, which bought Joybird in 2018. You don't see any responses from the company here, though, do you? If it weren't already obvious, they don't care. So is Melinda Whittington, La-Z-Boy's CEO, an apathetic idiot or a shrewd numbers cruncher? ***DON'T DO IT**** The "white glove delivery" team just dropped a bunch of loose lumber in our bedroom and left it there. We were missing hardware and instructions, so even if we wanted to put it together ourselves, we could not. It took 3 weeks of nonstop calling/VMS to get someone to get back to us. Finally, they sent us the hardware and sent a technician out, only to find out SURPRISE! We're still missing pieces. I spoke to Joybird customer service and they said 1. they can't expedite the missing pieces and 2. they don't even have instructions or a list of parts that I can cross-reference to make sure that we have all of the parts. So now we have to wait another 5-7 business days, and then another 2-3 weeks to get a technician out. I have never, in my life, had such a horrible experience. read more

Ordinarily I am a patient person. Having been in business for over 20 years, I understand things happen. I understand that sometimes these things are out of a company's control. Moreover, I understand that compassionate, empathetic, take charge, under-promise-and-over-deliver customer service goes a long, long way. Unfortunately, I have not experienced this with Joybird. I ordered the Hopson Sofa on February 7th. I wanted a different sofa in leather, but reasoned the Hopson, in what looks to be beautiful fabric (I wouldn't know - I haven't seen it) that could be delivered in around four weeks was the better choice. I had company coming from out of town at the end of March and thought certainly the Hopson would be delivered and in place by then. On March 4th I received an email that my sofa had shipped. Great! Right on time. On March 7th I was informed that upon inspection, the carrier had found the base was missing the t-nuts required to hold the legs onto the base. Why wasn't this discovered when the sofa was inspected at the factory before shipping? Oh well. They let me know they were sending a new base and assured me this would all be sorted out quickly. I followed up after some time went by and was told the carrier and delivery company was not returning their calls to set an appointment for the furniture "medic" to come out and install the new base on the sofa. I told them I would be happy to call the carrier on their behalf. They declined. More time went by with nothing from Joybird, so I called the carrier. They informed me they had been in touch with Joybird and the wrong base had been delivered to them. So now they had to wait until Joybird sent a second, correct, replacement base to set the appointment with the furniture "medic". A few more days passed with no updates so I called Joybird again. They said the correct replacement had been sent, then I was put on hold, then there was a lot of confusion as to exactly what was going on with my particular case. It seems a whole lot of sofas had gone out with faulty bases...... Eventually it was confirmed a second replacement base was on its way. More time passed with zero updates. Crickets. I called Joybird for an update on Friday, April 5th and was told the new, new base would be at the same location as the sofa the following Tuesday, the sofa would be done the week of the 15th and I would receive a follow up call on Wednesday, the 10th to let me know how it was going. Again. Crickets. Nothing. It is now April 15th. Having once again heard nothing I called to check in. All customer service reps were busy, so I left a voicemail asking for a call back. I received a call back within the hour from Natalie who has been working on my case for a few weeks now. No apology for the lack of follow up the week prior, no acknowledgement that I have to keep calling them to follow up. She simply said she had some bad news. They can't get a furniture "medic" (I swear if I hear that stupid term one more time....) scheduled until April 30th. So now, we're looking at a delivery when? First week of May? If I'm lucky? I will revise this review once I receive the sofa. If I ever receive the sofa. I have high hopes it will be lovely and all of this will have been worth it. I might have been one of the luckier ones based on the review below but my experience was pretty seamless and successful. This process will take at least 5 weeks. I had realistic expectations and overall, timelines were met. The quality of the couch is wonderful - soft and bouncy. I debated between Article and Joybird. Having tested Article sofas in 3 other friends' homes, I felt the fabric choices and "fill" of Joybird's cushions were superior. Overall workmanship and sewing also looked better to me. Believe me, I meticulously looked at stitching for both brands. So, I went with Joybird. 9/30 order placed 10/11 first update that couch was close to completion 10/24 receive email that it was dispatched to local LA-Z boy and that I would be contacted for local delivery 10/29 contacted by LA-Z and basically given a window 7 days out 11/5 delivery came on time. Installation took less than 20 minutes and installers handled debris/disposal of boxes. Again, important to have realistic expectations. Also, I recognize that living in the suburbs and having the install in the first floor makes things easier as far as scheduling. Even so, it was really a solid experience. read more

Your business practice is fraudulent. I bought a console at your Brooklyn store without seeing it. The rep told me if I didn't like it I could return it for a $99 pick-up fee. I bought it 9/16 (didn't arrive in your warehouse until 9/23), first available delivery was 10/5, wrote to your support 10/7 that I want to return & was told the following via email tonite: "The return window for our accessories is 14 days; this is because the return policy given by the suppliers of the accessories we sell on our website is 21-days. Unfortunately, the supplier will no longer accept these items as returns. We cannot extend the policy, as the supplier will not refund us for products that have been delivered for so long. I have many pieces from Joybird, including two chairs, two standing lamps, wall art and a sectional sofa. After 4 years of owning the sectional, I'm not happy with the everyday wear quality. Oddly, I can't really speak to the quality of the chairs -- they're in my "formal" living space where people rarely sit, so they just don't take enough use to get a good read on. I will say the sectional is very good looking, and exactly what I thought it would be. It's also reasonably comfortable, especially for the slim lines of the design. But it's only been 4 years, and the piping along the BACK of the sofa (which would take absolutely no wear) is starting to unravel. A piece of piping along one of the cushions has also started to poke through. And the point at which the sofa meets the chaise is not attached toward the top, and it moves far too easily; I never sit there and always worry when a guest is seated in that spot that it will break. When I first purchased these products from Joybird, I thought the customer service was excellent. However, when confronted with these complaints after warranty ran out, they only offered to sell me replacement cushions. I understand where they are coming from, but I would also say that quality shows in how a product wears. After $2500, 4 years is simply far too short a period of time for issues like this to show with no remedy. I would not recommend a purchase from the company for an everyday use item. read more

This is probably the worst experience I've ever had with a company. I ordered many items for my new home and at least 50% came damaged. Items were also lost in transit. No updates were given and incorrect information was received over and over again. I ordered four counter stools and I have been sent 8 total now and I only have two that are not damaged. That is just one example of my difficulties with Joybird. It has definitely not been joyful. It is difficult to get a hold of customer service and managers are not available to help. I feel like there should be a therapy group for people who've gone through months/years of Joybird customer service nightmares. This is a review for ordering from Joybird online. Basically my experience is similar to all the other one-star reviews. I ordered a Winslow sofa. It broke within 24 hours. The legs were installed by the delivery people incorrectly. They bent. It took a total of 6 months to resolve that issue. They sent me the wrong legs TWICE!!!!!! One year after the leg issue was finally resolved, the frame broke where the legs screw in. After looking at it, it was really clear why. A TERRIBLE shotty design! I spent Aug through December trying to get Joybird to honor their lifetime warranty. At some point I asked for my money back because the customer service was glacially slow (2 weeks between responses). They refused to give my money back, but eventually agreed to an exchange. The new couch just arrived yesterday. Guess what?! One of the legs doesn't touch the ground. I'm not kidding. Do not order from this company. Just don't do it. Beyond the leg issues, the fabric pills easily, the cushions start off nice and firm, but very quickly become soft and smooshed. With my first couch, the cushions kept sliding off the couch. This was my second purchase from Joybird, the first was a ~$4000 Hughes Royale Cobalt sectional which arrived after just a few delays in great condition. We have had that couch for two years and had no issues. They also threw in some box pillows because we are both frontline healthcare workers and we ordered during the onset of the pandemic. Very nice of them. Anyway, we had a good experience so we decided to order a Hughes chair and ottoman. Delivery date and time were only delayed once, which was fine. However, upon delivery (yesterday) the chair arrived damaged. Not like, insignificant damage either. Significant gouges in the fabric in multiple spots, and an abrasion. The chair cost me over $1700 and this is totally unacceptable! Furthermore their website advises that you accept the delivery if the item is in usable condition, so I did. I immediately called and could get no one on the phone, so I completed my damaged item claim on their website with pictures. No email confirmation or reply. I tried to leave a voicemail, but they had a voicemail from me before regarding shipping (they were unable to process my credit card for the additional 1 flight of stairs shipping fee due to taking down the wrong CVV code, so I had to call them back with the code gain) so they denied my voicemail and the automated system hung up on me. I called back with a blocked number yesterday and was able to leave a voicemail finally. Still, no response today. I called their customer service line (both unblocked and blocked) and they say their line is closed despite it being well into business hours. I am getting pretty concerned that I have been taken advantage of by this company - I will revise this review as the situation progresses. read more

Message: In October 2015 we took a leap of faith and purchased a Joybird sofa online and were so incredibly impressed. We made a most regrettable mistake in not doing our research to validate the prior quality standards and customer satisfaction prior. I write this review completely worn out from the circular nature of online customer communication avenues, but with the sole intent of warning past and future customers that Joybird is not the San Diego start-up of the past. Apparently they were acquired by Lazyboy and they have moved their production out of the US and have adOpted the corporate culture of the bottom line is all that matters. Do not, I repeat do not spend your hard earned resources on a Joybird product, as you will join a symphony of dissatisfied customers posted on BBB, Yelp and other social media outlets. My stellar review from the 2015 sofa purchase was deserving and so is the 2020 review. Both were meant to inform other potential customers, unfortunately it appears Joybird only posts favorable reviews on its website, Below is my first communication to Joybird Customer Service. It was followed by over 12 documented email conversations, multiple photo uploads from me and the repair tech. We were so excited to add a second Joybird sofa to our home. JBHunt delivery and assembly service was stellar and the shape and design and firmness of the sofa exactly what we were looking for. However upon closer inspection we believe the quality control inspection either did not happen at all or does not live up to prior standards. There are seams on the three sofa cushions, highly visible front and center and do not align. The front armrest seams are also poorly constructed not square and puckered or bulging. The back of the sofa is perfect with only a few protruding threads that were easily remedied. I will follow-up with photos via email. I wanted to provide Joybird the opportunity to respond before placing a public review that would not be as exemplary as our first. We had to wait 5 months to receive our sofa. Week after week, they just kept telling us that they were still in the process of getting the leather. We tried to be understanding, and waited 5 entire months only to receive a sofa with obvious signs of wear and tear and scratches everywhere. We returned it immediately. I had to call every 3 weeks to see where my sofa was. And each time, they would just apologize and constantly postpone the date. We sold our old sofa, and had to face all sorts of inconvenience because of Joybird's incompetent services. Overall, it was really horrible quality furniture + honestly, decent customer service. For the price we were paying at over 4k, it should've delivered way better quality. read more

I have been a customer of Joybird's January 2017 and wanted to let people know that based on my recent experience, not only will it be highly unlikely that I will ever order from Joybird again. I ordered the Hughes Twin Sleeper on May 8, 2021 and was provided with an estimated delivery of Sept. 1 to 6, 2021. After months of no movement on my order (as shown by my dashboard), I finally reached out on Aug. 30 for an update given that the delivery date window began the next day. The response was not provided until 7 days after my initial request. Evidently, there was a "bad bolt" that you only discovered after I had to ask and now my product is delayed for another 4 months.   I find it interesting that when I log into their website and check out with the same exact sofa, the estimated delivery is sooner than what I am being told. I understand that supply issues have arisen because of Covid 19, which is why I was okay waiting so long initially for my order, but what is incredibly troublesome is that they appear to be misleading either me or future customers. In addition, my dashboard is still showing an estimated delivery of 9/1 to 9/8. Again, another communication issue that feels incredibly disingenuous. I simply want to do business with a company that is honest and responsive (7 days to respond to an inquiry and hours on hold is not okay). read more

Terrible treatment by the brand. I spent $4k on a couch, but I cannot get anyone on the phone, on chat, or via email to assist me. They turn off their phone lines during normal business hours and also screen calls so if you have left 1 voicemail from a number, you cannot leave anymore. I have never had such horrendous service from a brand, furniture or otherwise. I am awaiting resolution of my issue and delivery of my couch before I can amend my review. read more

I'd give -5 stars if I could. I read the comments before purchase, the sales agent was nice, she told us the issues were because of covid things slowed down and stuff, I believed her. So we ordered this Amie sectional 2 months, to be honest building the couch is fairly fast, but the delivery was horrible, after 2 months, the sectional came in different color/fabric, and I tried caol the store in Brooklyn NY, they said they don't handle this , the warranty teams handles it, which is different from what they say at yt beginning, cuz initially they kept saying if there s any problem, give them a call they ll fix, and in reality it's not the case. So the delivery guys said it was the warehouse, but the store says it's the warranty team, then I asked for their numbers they don't tell you. You end up just waiting forever . Jechiliah is amazing! Best customer service I have ever encountered, and one of the sweetest humans I have ever "met" over the phone. Not only is she very friendly and warm, but also extremely knowledgeable on all of Joybird's beautiful sofas. I ordered a custom Hughes Loveseat from Joybird in CA where they are built. It's arrived, and is gorgeous, but much firmer than I anticipated. They don't have a showroom there, so there are many questions they could not answer. I decided to call Joybird's Brooklyn location, and to speak with someone who works in the showroom. Jechiliah is such a Saint for answering all of my questions about different dimensions, and how certain fabrics feel. I can tell that she really wants to help find the perfect sofa that works for me...meaning, one that has sink in comfort for Netflix after a long workday. She considered not only the level of comfort, but also the aesthetic of my living rooms style. She definitely surpassed all my expectations. Thank you Jechiliah! read more

BEWARE of Joybird! They have 3 store locations and a main phone number yet no one answers and you can't leave a message! I have emailed them 10 times over 3 weeks, I have called every single phone number at least 15 times and still can't talk to a person. How do you sell expensive furniture online and expect people to trust you won't talk to your customers? It's really bizarre that 3 stores aren't open nor allows you to leave a voice mail. How bizarre is it that their main customer service line say an automatic message explaining all customer service agents are busy try again and again and again with absolutely no way to talk to a person. I'm beginning to think they are an overseas company. read more

This couch is less than a year old. We followed the cleaning advice from the company - and there are now stains which we now cannot remove. Not only that - in less than 6 months, the couch started to sag and you CONSTANTLY have to reshape the filling every. Single. Time. You. Sit. On. It. It's so frustrating. I vacuum the couch every week and I'm a neat freak, so having a couch which now looks stained and is constantly sagging every time you sit on it - it looks cheap and nasty. I have called to get a replacement or a higher priced item - however, due to being out of their "90 day return or exchange policy" they advised there is nothing they can do, and we would have to order new covers and fillings which would be $550+tax and would take 3 months to order. Do not purchase from this company. Poor quality and poor customer service. For the price - you would expect quality, something which would last longer than 6 months and a couch which doesn't stain when you clean - as per their instructions. I ordered a Joybird sectional and it wasn't explained that if I didn't like it, it would be a 10 percent restocking fee. Who does that? Make a better product and you will not have a return. In perspective, I paid them almost a 700.00 restocking fee and I was told it says it on some websites. This is America. An American can return anything within a week. Straight Criminals. Go somewhere else for your furniture. This is not a review of the quality of the furniture, but of the company, its customer service, and delivery time frame. Our experience with Joybird has been awful. The couch we ordered is now over a month late and we still have not received it. It has also been two weeks since our last update. At this point, the quality of the couch could not change our rating. No couch or piece of furniture is worth this much of a wait, the poor quality of customer service, or the price. read more

The other toxic reviews have me pretty curious and thinking perhaps the competition is trying to lead people astray? My experience with Joybird was excellent at every step of the way. I learned about Joybird via Facebook, and loved the midcentury look and reasonable price points. After looking at options and measuring my space. I choose the Briar sofa which has a really clean design but also offers support. I also purchased two chairs and a ottoman and selected the same cool fabric so everything would be in concert. From the get go, communication was great with Joybird. It's worth noting they the make the furniture when you order it- so it will take time to arrive. I'm a pretty reasonable guy and while I may be in a rush for pizza to arrive, I can wait a bit for hand crafted furniture. As you await your order you will get frequent updates telling you where your order is in the production process. I found it helpful to see and the times held true. Before I knew it my order was complete and I got an email that it was ready for delivery. Delivery was easy and I had the "white glove" service where the delivery guys unpacked everything and brought it in my house and set everything up. It was first rate! (Don't forget a small tip to thank the delivery crew) The couch and chairs were amazing. I was beyond happy with the quality, comfort and design. I was nervous about ordering from the web but they have a super generous return policy so you're not risking anything at all if you don't love your items. I'm betting you will love them because they are really well made. Give Joybird a shot, you won't be disappointed.
