The proprietor of this shop was wonderfully kind and very helpful when I needed a minor alteration done quickly for a wedding. He did the small job as quick as I could hope and charged a very reasonable amount. He didn't even seem to charge any rush fee for doing the job same day. I have always loved this shop. Owner is super friendly and customer service is awesome. Prices are also the best in the area. Superb workmanship. However, I left my dry cleaning before Covid hit and I've not been able to reach the business since I started routinely trying since May 2020. I've actually moved out of the area in July 2020. Recently visited & when I walked in I thought I was in an office. The set up is so nice & not like the "typical" dry cleaners (i.e. smelly, loud, etc.). I was greeted quickly by a very polite gentleman. Upon returning the same! Reasonable for hemming pants. read more

I had 2 jackets tailored, one a standard blazer and the other a leather jacket. Both results were excellent, reasonably priced , plus the service was courtesy. I received my jackets in a little over a week, even though they looked very busy. I will definitely go back and recommend their tailoring services to friends. read more

I used Joy tailor once back in the spring when I needed a sweater and shirt mended and it was outside my very basic sewing abilities. The job was done on time and looked great and I was charged a reasonable price. Because of this positive experience I brought in a few new things to be mended at the end of the summer. When I came back 3 weeks later, long after it was supposed to be ready, nothing had been worked on. He asked for another week to finish the job and I said okay. I came back 2 weeks later and it was still not done. At that point, he dropped my items in a chair in the front of his workspace and said he would call when it was finished. Another 3 weeks go by with no call so I went in to ask for my items and my money back. The items were still sitting in the chair up front, untouched! I can't figure out why he repeatedly refused to complete the job... He was polite enough when I asked for everything back and didn't fight the refund, which I appreciated and is why I gave him 2 stars. So the bottom line is, Joy Tailor is hit or miss... read more

COMPLETELY DISHONEST!! I went to Joy Tailor Shop to get some curtains hemmed. I had 2 sets of curtains, and asked them to shorten them all by 20 inches. The owner of the store wrote out my instructions in his notebook. When I picked the curtains up, I found that one set of curtains had been shortened by about 50 inches instead of 20. The curtains were completely ruined, because now they were too short for the window that I wanted to hang them in.I asked for a refund for the tailoring of the ruined set of curtains, which was $80. The owner refused to give me the full refund, even though he produced the discarded material that was taken off the curtains and we could both see that more than 20 inches was removed. He also refused to show me the notebook that contained my instructions, to verify that he did not follow the instructions and ruin the curtains. He refused to give me the full refund, and finally after a lot of yelling, he gave me $50 cash from his pocket and said that that was all I was getting from him.I could have tried to get him to pay for the cost of the ruined curtains, but decided to just ask for my full refund, and even this he refused to give me. The refund practices here are very dishonest. read more

I have had a pair of jeans and 2 pants hemmed here. All came out great. Only $10 each. I deducted a star because each pair took over a week and his hours aren't the most convenient. If you aren't in a hurry, I highly recommend. read more

This is an awful place. Very unprofessional. They ruined my favorite jacket and did not handle well at all. In fact they where very hostile. The jacket was unwearable, and I felt like I should have been rein burst for my loss (it was a very expensive jacket) When I expressed that they begin yelling at me and made me really nervous. I just left at that point. I would not recommend bring anything here. They don't know what they are doing and do not care about the're customers. read more

WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!!!! TWO Days before my daughter's wedding I went to pick up my dress and it was hemmed to high. An unbelievable mistake for a Tailor to make, especially when they took the measurements and knew how it was supposed to look. And after the mistake, I didn't even get a hint of a suggestion as to what to do now. Hey, I have an idea genius, how about paying for the dress and suggest I go out and get a new dress and take it back for a quick turnaround!!! No concern on their part, just, sorry Lady for having ruined a very important day of your Life!!! I'll make sure my friends hear about this one! I hope that thing they call KARMA is true!
