    Sushi Rolls
    Sean P.

Joy Kitchen was about exactly what you'd expect in an average Asian joint. Nothing exceptional, but will likely help you get your fix of Asian flavors should you be in the mood. We tried two sushi rolls - one not so good, and the other reasonably good (Minnesota Roll). The Massaman curry was extremely bland, which was a major disappointment. Their house fried rice was par for the course, but also this one is hard to mess up! All in all, it was average almost across the board.

Still great - 4 stars! It's been a while, a full 5 years since I've been to Joy Kitchen. But I just went back to get an emergency sushi craving fix. I ordered 4 styles of tuna based sushi rolls. All 4 of them were bursting with wonderful flavors. They ingredients are obviously nice & fresh, including ample portions of beautiful dark red tuna. LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It's pretty easy to eat low carbohydrate, keto style at Joy Kitchen, especially if you stick to the sushi options. I avoid the noodles, large rice portions, deep fried stuff (they use soybean oil), and any sauce that probably contains sugar and vegetable seed oils. If I cheat on my carnivore with keto (about once a month) I often grab some lower carb sushi roll options, and J.K. definitely hit the spot! Thanks, again, Joy Kitchen! -Maxx

Food was pretty good. The Pink Love roll was delicious. Service was very slow and our table was never prebussed so it got pretty cluttered. Ambiance was fine, they seem to have a lot of to-go orders and focus heavily on those.

Visited to pick up food for lunch with a friend. They have no fine in due to the pandemic but they have menus inside that you can look at before ordering. I ordered the chicken and broccoli and we got a side of wontons. I have a cashew allergy so they took extra care to make sure my food wasn't cross contaminated. The food was delicious, the sauce was very nice and the wontons were divine. I'd definitely order from here again.

My favorite pad tai place. Andover roll is great too. It is our new go to for take out.

Waited 1/2 hour to order, place wasn't even busy. Waiters walked passed several times not acknowledging us so walked out, bad service.

Great variety for an Asian restaurant in a strip mall. Curry dishes are tasty, many sushi options and good traditional fare.

Good food. Lunch took over an hour and manager didn't compensate for a messed up order.

You scan the QR code at your table, order online, pay online and someone delivers all items (to your table) in takeout containers. Even with this updated experience, without "wait staff", everyone was helpful and attentive. The signature sticks, with the yum-yum sauce, has to be my personal favorite. You have to be so careful not to fill up on their delicious wontons and purple egg rolls (appetizers!) The restaurant and restrooms are clean and welcoming - nothing fancy, just what you would expect for small town dining! It looks like they host local musicians from time to time. The owner was working alongside his team and so friendly! He often treats his customers to his signature sweet wontons (secret flavors!) Our only complaint, and this comes paired with a picky eater. The description of their dishes doesn't necessarily disclose all vegetables/ingredients used. So, some surprises were had! It was delicious and a very minor complaint! We can't wait to visit again!

We would bring our Hmong family here when they visit. I love the display of Hmong art, crafts and tools. Unfortunately, service has always been slow even on a weekday. I'm unsure why since workers do come around and check in. I've had their pho, laab, papaya salad, chicken wings etc. It's not memorable but it's Hmong food. Hoping they bring back waitressing for serving utensils, and dinnerware rather than having customers fetch their own water, foam plates or plastic ones. It's not appropriate to bring extended family here anymore when we have to tell them to get their own utensils and pho veggies from their service area. We prefer Pho 126 for large family dining or Boba & Tea Deli for Hmong food.

The various meats were executed well (mixed platter, rack of ribs) with good flavor. Food was better last year and the year before. Had the Balinese chicken thigh which seemed better in previous years but I still wouldn't kick it out of bed. Service was abhorrent. Like you know when you go to a restaurant and they make you feel like you are there for them and not the reverse? Disinterested, disengaged server who didn't check back. It felt like we were an inconvenience. Also, it's 2026 so it's weird when the server dismissively leaves one check without asking how to divide it for a party of six. Pretty weird. ANYwhoo the only thing our service guaranteed is that I won't be back. There are plenty of other options with great service and I'm sad that Hai Hai, a once mind blowingly amazing establishment in food, service, ambience has become where the tip decision is based solely on not wanting to hurt someone's livelihood. Such a shame.

Most places will allow you to choose white or fried rice with entrees and Angkor says "white rice only", but I am glad I decided to order fried rice anyway. It was colorful, rich, flavorful- all that fried rice should be. My only critique was for the noodles. They gelled together into 1 big lump. Maybe they were put into the container piping hot? The flavors were still there but the noodles forming 1 inseparable mass made them challenging to eat. Overall we were highly satisfied with our food and will order takeout from them again.

Papaya Salad Thai Style - made the mistake of ordering this medium spicy. I overestimated how much spice I can take. But it was good, had great flavor and had nice crispy pork cracklings on top. Hot Pot Seafood - the broth for this was so good would be really perfect on a really cold day. Thai Fried Rice - this was just OK tasted like regular fried rice.
