Good evening I am writing this review as a dasher and a more than regular customer. I just wanted to add that this restaurant is one of the most class act Chinese restaurants around, both service and quality of the their food. It is a family owned and ran business, the owners kids are the nicest kids you will ever meet, they help out up front and at the same time they are busy doing their school work. The food is always fresh and amazing. As a dasher when I dash, they always have the food ready to go. I don't give many reviews unless I think I they should get a 4.8 or higher. So please give this place the respect they deserve and try them out, as I writing this I am also eating their food at the end of the night after dashing for 14hrs. Thanks for the hard word and generosity New China of Blaine Mn. Thanks Tim K

Surprising delicious! Cream cheese wonton, Vegetable Lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken and General Tso

I was in the mood to try a new Chinese restaurant. I hopped on YELP to see reviews of restaurants nearby. New China was at the top of the list. I saw a new feature of delivery via GrubHub. I decided to place an order for delivery. Only $1.50 with minimum $15 order. Well that's easy to do with Chinese food. I wanted to try many things to get a sampling of what New China has to offer. I ordered Sesame Chicken and General Tso (little spicy). Both came with white rice. *Sesame was basic. Sister liked that it came with broccoli and had extra sauce, not thick like molasses. *General Tso was very good. Ordered "little spicy". It had just a hint of heat. Red chili pepper flakes!! This will probably be my standard go-to of I order again. Came with broccoli too. But I picked it out. No! *Because I ordered fried rice, we did not sample the white rice. Saved for another day, another dish. I also wanted to compare their chicken fried rice and vegetable lo mein to Osaka. I know they are Japanese but it's the best I've had so far. **Rice was fine, a little dry. Adding sweet and sour sauce helped. *Lo Mein was so good. Lots of sauce, not too salty. Adequate ratio of vegt to noodles. Glad to see the thick spaghetti noodles vs the thin angel hair. No!! Cream cheese wontons are a staple when ordering take - out. We liked the shape of them. Small little bags vs triangles. Easy to break apart and share the CC on both sides. When opening up the delivery bag I found a surprise on the top. Donuts!!! I didn't order them... not on my invoice. I hope they were a gift and not a mix up on someone else's order. Thank you! Also in the bag were the standard soy sauce packets and fortune cookies. I was glad to have found another tasty Chinese restaurant in the area. Next time I'll have to visit and meet the staff in the restaurant. Thank you for partnering with GrubHub and giving Blaine residents more delivery options!!

Vegetable chow mei fun and vegetable dumplings!

As someone with a restricted diet (vegan) I always am SUPER impressed when I come across an establishment that is able to veganize an order 100% of the time and always takes care to make sure there's no animal product in the dishes! New China is JUST THAT! Their pricing is SUPER fair, they're ALWAYS spot on with accuracy and always prompt! We order from them usually a few times a month. Their cow mei fun (no egg/fish sauce) it great and full of vegetables.

Quite possibly the BEST Chinese restaurant in Blaine! I ordered orange chicken and hot and sour soup. Both were beyond amazing! The orange chicken was so delicious, the sauce was not overly sweet, the chicken was coated fully without becoming soggy and it had just the right amount of heat. I love my orange chicken and it has been hard to find a Chinese restaurant that served it without it tasting like eating a jar of marmalade. The hot and sour soup was super yummy too. Same with the orange chicken, my hot and sour soup experience has also been hit and miss. But this place knocked it out of the park! Will be returning to try other menu items seeing as these were so impressive!

Disappointed, I typically enjoy the food and think the prices are fair. However paying $8.00 for 5 wingettes is ridiculous. For $8 you can buy a pack of wings. New China you should be ashamed for charging this price.

Take out and did buffet at home!

We really like these folks. The food is excellent and they get it done on time. This is our 'go to' Chinese takeout.

    Take out...no seatings, ok

This is a quick service. You won't find line or wait more than 10 minutes. You will get you out of here asap! I had ordered five items for my family and they were super fast! I believe there are only two people working there, a cook and a person who takes order. It's a family owned business. You can't dine in, only take out. I would definitely come here again. Great food! Free parking lot.

Always get order correct, prepared quickly, and friendly staff. Food is good and on par with any fast food joint in the area.

We ordered: house special wings, Singapore noodles, shrimp egg foo yung, and sweet and sour pork. Everything was cooked well and the flavors were exactly what we were expecting. The sweet and sour sauce is house made and was delicious- we were glad to have ordered extra sauce! And the egg foo yung had a light and tasty brown sauce. The wings were tasty but I wish they had some crisp- they were quite soggy. The cost ended up being a little more than we were expecting, $70 for 3 entrees and an appetizer, but the food was quality and portions were generous. The Singapore noodles were 3 meals worth. Note: they will substitute fried rice for white rice with an entree, but it's a $5 upcharge per entree for a miniature carton of rice.

(We live almost 8 miles away in Ham Lake.)The delivery fee was only $1 but we also tipped the driver. What we got: 2 chicken egg rolls - Not great, we'll try pork next time. This last time I was there a young (white) boy was manning the cash register and another at the wok in back. They looked to be about 14. I just found it odd. There was also an older women helping at the register who seemed to have NO clue what she was doing. It really almost looked like they were doing a fundraiser for school like they do at Cub. It was weird. Anyway, I had ordered an eggroll (WAY small for $1, IMO) and an order of veggie fried rice. I was taking to go so I asked for some extra soy sauce and a spoon. The lady stands around clueless for a bit then gets my spoon. I ask again for soy sauce and she tells me "its in the bag." The kid tells her "There might not be much in there if she didn't get white rice." Lady opens the bag and tells me "there's 3 packets." Ok. Whatever. I'm in a hurry to get to work so I trust there are 3 packets. I get to work and open the bag to find ONE packet of soy sauce, one eggroll sauce and one fortune cookie. I'm peeved at this point and vow never to go back there. Moral of the story: If a customer asks you for more soy sauce, just give them more damn soy sauce. On a $9 RICE order, what is a couple more packets of soy sauce!?!?!

So I walk in, and they have a standard serving line counter but there's no food, but restaurant supplies and boxes piled high. I was a bit confused and thought they may not be open. I was greeted by a lady, and there were paper menus on the counter. So I ordered the lunch special Shrimp Lo Mein, which comes with an egg roll and fried rice for $7.50. I requested the fried rice to be served in a separate container because I wanted to save the fried rice for later, and I don't like my noodles touching my rice. Well she proceeded to start an argument over the dang take-out box, insisting that it all comes in one box. I reiterated my wishes for a separate container, and she argued some more, so I relented. The total came to $8.03, I didn't have 3 cents, and there was a change box on the counter. So I did what any normal customer would do in that situation: take $0.03 from the change box. Man did I get an Evil Glare from the lady something FIERCE! In my disbelief, I threw down a dollar into the freaking change box. So the food comes, and I informed them that they lost a customer for 13 cents. 10 cents for the takeout box she wouldn't part with, and the 3 cents out of the change box. All this before I even tasted the food!! The cook from the back came up and apologized when he overheard the conversation, and he was very nice. While this was going on she gave me another cursing stare and stormed off. Heck he should have been working the front and leave the grumpy lady to cook instead. Upon reaching my office, I opened the white box, and discovered some seriously sorry looking noodles, and "fried rice" that was just that: rice that was fried with a very small amount of soy. The egg roll looked ok, no doubt came frozen and just dropped in a fryer. Now the actual tastes were very underwhelming. No...I'm straight pissed. The Lo Mein was slightly burnt, and not in a good way. It was too salty. The "fried rice" turned out to be cooked brown rice with soy in it. I don't know which part of China they come from, but I had no idea that this was even a thing; and I am 100% full-blooded Chinese. Fried rice is supposed to have a whole lot of other things in it, not the least of which would be egg and veggies, with WHITE rice seasoned with soy. The only redeeming factor in the whole box were the shrimp which were half descent. Oh I asked for chopsticks, and there were simply no silverware or napkins in the box. She did remember to give me a fortune cookie and a packet of soy sauce. Luckily I had one fork left in the office, otherwise so would have been eating with my fingers. Wow. So this was a 100% fail at being Chinese Take Out: Chinese, not really; Take Out, no utensils, bad food, bad service. Sorry for being a sour-puss. I write this stuff so that no one else would have to endure this garbage. It is my hope that in the age of Google and Yelp ratings businesses like these would have to shape up or get left behind.
