I went here yesterday to get my hair needs. I first went to the black owned one up the street (literally within walking distance), but that one didn't have a very large wig selection unfortunately. I really wanted to give them my business first. This one was well-lit and the service was helpful. The wig lady firmly asked me not to run my fingers through the wig; apparently I missed the large sign that asks people NOT to run fingers through the wig hairs. I definitely understand because that's how wigs get damaged and frizzy. They had a relatively nice wig selection, and I would come here again just for that. The lady over charged a cash paying customer $14 too much. When the customer realized the mistake the cashier huffed, puffed & said she couldn't open her drawer. Ok... so I used to love this beauty supply and in the past have had nothing but nice things to say until now! I just left and empty handed I might add. First they price gauge I went for a wig and first of all the little lady follwed me around like a lost puppy not only followed me around but was so close that I KEPT BUMPING INTO HER! Then she had the audacity to point at a sign and tell me not to touch the hair! Well ma'am how am I supposed to tell if I like the texture especially since there also signs posted everywhere that all sales final on wigs! After I asked her not to follow me and keep distance she proceeded to act like didn't understand! She I left the wig area and she continue to follow me up to the front of the store making jokes in her language and laughing with the others! I can't be certain they were at my expense but I'm pretty sure it was. I decided to try and get a few small items despite that interaction and even though the price on the sticker said one thing they attempted to charge a higher price! This place used to be run by a nice older lady and her husband ... I don't know who these folks are but they need to adjust their customer service skills because they lost this one! I fluctuate between this one and the BLACK OWNED beauty store behind this one and next to Best Buy because the people who run this one are "fake nice," don't know anything about the products they sell or at least aren't willing to discuss them with you, and follow you around in the store. Plus, the Black Owned store had a smaller selection of what I need at times. With that out the way, today I went in for a wig. I understand their policy is 3 wig tries per visit but the store was a ghost town today and I asked could I try on more. She said yes, but after I tried on 3 wigs she said I had to pay for another wig cap before I could try on the fourth. I was abhorred and got up to leave. I'd already paid for one wig cap, why would I pay for another just to try on another wig. When I complained to the male manager he said it was store policy and that's it. He literally didn't care what I felt about my experience. But he also is the type to just show you the hair tools behind the counter but it's nonchalant about explaining them and told me "just buy and try" but won't give refunds. In essence, I feel that the only thing about me that is valued of the people that enter into this establishment is obtaining their money and nothing else. Unknowledgeable and Unprofessional. They have a spending minimum of $5 which is illegal. I've worked in the finance industry and there was a lawsuit about spending minimum which is why most beauty supply stores no longer have a spending minimum sign posted in their stores. I plan to report them to the merchant bureau. They should do their research when they move to America. You can not tell a customer that they have to spend a certain dollar amount in order to use their card, however you are allowed to charge a merchant fee. My items totaled $4.XX and I was told that I needed to spend more money or be charged $5 in order to use my credit card to purchase the items. I asked why and the guy said it's the policy. I proceeded to inform him that it was illegal to force a consumer a minimum dollar amount. A girl walked up when she heard me and said "well that's how we do it". I politely asked for the name and address of the store and she refused to give it to me. I purchased a frontal lace wig from Joy Beauty that was supposed to be human hair. Ima tell y'all the whole story but for the people who hate reading long reviews - here's the short version. They selling fake hair that is deemed human hair, DONT PURCHASE HAIR FROM THEM. They don't give refunds even if it's their fault. See the picture and the receipts!!! Long story - The same day I purchased the hair is the same day I had a hair appt. The hair would not bleach, dye, color, Harlem shake, flat iron, curl or nothing. Remind you for the first time, I purchase the same frontal wig from them once a month. They can run the cameras back. And I have receipts. So I end up purchasing another frontal lace wig from my stylist to complete my hair style because the one from Joy Beauty was synthetic. We left the bleach on the frontal lace wig for more than 3 hours and only 4 little spots lifted (where the 1 inch of human hair was) Fast forward : So the next day, I go to Joy Beauty to see what can be done because I am a regular there, the man says (long story short) it's my mistake because I asked for the wrong kind, remind y'all , I purchase this same frontal lace wig from there at least the past 6 times. Saying I should have asked for the brown color. Sir human hair is human hair. How else should I ask for a human hair frontal? Maybe in Spanish. Smh. I say the same crap every time I walk in there. LITERALLY!!!! Like I'm on them cameras being a faithful customer, all facts , all receipts, I kid you not! I've never come here and they didn't have what I wanted. They have every single hair product and brand that's for ethnic hair care. They have a huge selection of wigs and extensions for all of you weave lovers. They also have hair care accessories like rollers, curling irons, combs, pins...etc. They're always nice and helpful each time I've come. No complaints at all. read more

My family and I visited this store this evening. My young daughter was shopping for products and opened them to see how they smelled and tested some on her hair; she wasn't aware that she wasn't suppose to do so. A female store associate came from behind the counter to advise that she could not put the chemicals in her hair. Although she was within her rights to say so, she was rude in how she spoke to us. I explained to my daughter that she wasn't able to continue trying the products and she stopped. As we're we checking out the same person became an even ruder jack ass; she kept trying to snatch my debit card out of my hand, I had to tell her to wait until I handed it to her by saying "can you wait". At this point she had really began to become downright disgusting. She processed my transaction and ran my card twice, printing a receipt each time. I asked her for the first receipt as I wanted to make sure my card wasn't charged twice, she then threw the receipt at me, I then told her to refund my money because I would not tolerate her disgusting behavior and rudeness after patronizing the store. She then called a man to the counter and began to speak with him in their language. She then said to me there was no problem and asked why I wanted a refund and I repeated myself. As the man processed my return, I asked him if he was who I could speak to about the poor, and rude service I had just received, he wouldn't look me in the eye or respond to me. I said you're blanantly ignoring me now, continuing in the rudeness. He then starts talking about the matter with my daughter. I told him the issue had been addressed and that I wanted to address the poor treatment I had just received and he just continued to babble on, without apologizing or hearing my concern. My family left and went to the Atlanta Beauty Depot in the same complex, a Black Owned Business. I shop there and sometimes visit Joy beauty supply since they have a larger store with more products.
