I hadn't been to a Lush... or a shopping mall, for that matter... for who knows how long. A friend raved about the Ro's Argan body conditioner, and Lush products in general, so we made the trek over to Lenox Square. The store was incredibly neat and well organized. The employees seemed to genuinely enjoy the products and working there. The stuff is NOT cheap but we also like how it's handmade, not tested on animals, and what the store stands for in general. The scents are intoxicating. Ro's is such a cool product. If you HATE putting on body lotion, like me, this is for you. I'd tried Jergens, Nivea, etc. in shower lotions and they don't compare. Ask for take-home samples if you're not sure you want to commit. The sample jars are large and also reusable. read more

We went to the Lush in perimeter mall for some holiday shopping. The store is conveniently located by the bath and body works and the body shop, so you can check out all 3 while shopping for scented body care. Walking in, it is an influx of scents. It smells great, but can numb your sense of smell after some time. Also smelling the bath bombs, they're a bit crumbly so smelling them turns into snorting dust. I love how interactive the store is though, nearly every item has a try-me product, and there are sinks and paper towels for you to try scrubs, masks, and lotions. There is also plenty of staff workers who are happy to help you find something and recommend items. read more

This store is bright and vibrant with items everywhere. This location is larger than other locations I've been to. I like how they have bath bombs and soaps in cute shapes for different occasions, like Santa, snowflakes, and polar bears. My favorite bomb is the gold glitter one. I think the prices for the bath bombs are a bit. The products do make great gifts for loved ones. I love it's an environmentally conscious and friendly company--it makes me like them even more. I officially became a lushie in December 2019. I was living abroad in France at the time and booked a flight to Copenhagen for the weekend as part of a "life is short, live in the moment" kind of moment when I realized my weekend would be extended, merci a les manifs en France. I found a very cheap flight for 30 euros round trip with Ryan Air. There were two catches - one was that I could only have one personal item that fits under my seat - no carry-on or checked-in - which would have been too expensive for my budget at the time as a teaching assistant. Needless to say, I booked it. Then the real challenge of finding toiletries for my trip came into play. That's when I came upon lush and the shampoo bars and I'm beyond happy I did. I bought my first shampoo bar from the Lush Store in Marseille, France, and the customer service experience was PHENOMENAL. I was never made to feel forced to buy anything. The associate answered all of my questions and helped me find a bar I became obsessed with - the Honey I Washed my Hair shampoo bar. Since then I have only and I mean only ever used this shampoo bar for my hair. I returned to the US, and have visited the Lush Atlanta Lenox store several times to stock up on my favorite shampoo bar and try other products. One of my visits is still to this day, one of the best customer service experiences I have had. I was helped by Polly who was AMAZING! She answered all of my questions in-depth, really went out of her way to help me find a face scrub for my sensitive skin, and demonstrated how to use it. She was incredibly knowledgeable. I ended up getting the herbalism face scrub. She also even threw in the Honey I Washed the Kids soap bar for FREE when I told her how obsessed I was with the shampoo bar. I love shopping at Lush because of the ethics of the company being cruelty-free. I drive an hour and a half to Lenox from where I am currently to buy the shampoo bars. Dear LUSH, I love you so and this stand-alone location inside Macy's at Lenox Square normally cures what is ailing my lush-ed withdrawals from time to time. Be it the Breath of Fresh Air Toner or the Sugar Scrub bar I am hooked on most things LUSH. I've tried a variety of you body scrubs and some of your soaps, my favorites are the Honey I washed the Kids and the Sandstone. Your staff is super friendly and not stingy with giving samples of your products. I have gotten my daughter hooked on your products, so now we never leave the counter not having spent aplenty. You are an expensive vice to have, but when all else fails the array of colors and smells will always pull your customers in. Oh wow... I had no idea taking a bath can be this complicated. Anyway, it was the wife's birthday and I had to get something to compliment the other present. As we all know, you must buy more than one present for the wives birthday. It is a best practice to spread your risk when it comes to birthday presents. Dudes know this... you gotta hedge your bets.. So, I stopped by to get a 'cute' gift, since the 'real' gift was already taken care of. I was lost and everybody was busy. Eventually, one of them noticed I was lost and came over to help. After a general educational session of the bombs, soaps and massage bars. I picked out my selection and it rang up to $$$. I can't put those things back on the shelves again so I ponied up the cash and got it all. I now have an arsenal of bath products. She was delighted to have them and I scored big time. However, be cautioned that if you bring bath products, you are also automatically signed up to clean the tub, pull the bath and after all that, serve as the volunteer masseur. Since everyone else is reviewing Lush today, I will, too. I discovered Lush several years ago when I was in London and, at first, I was completely fascinated and I tried everything they had. But then, the honeymoon was over. I do like a few of their products pretty well. But, for the most part I think their products are very overpriced and pretty ineffective. They all smell really nice and come in pretty colors but they are mediocre when it comes to what they actually do. Add to it that they discontinued the one product that I really loved and would have continued to buy religiously (UPDATE: I actually just remembered that they did this to TWO products that I liked - booooo!). The products make unique gifts and I do enjoy the fun, but pricey, bath bombs and bubble bars, etc. for the bath but I just don't shop here anymore because I can't reconcile the effectiveness of the products with the prices. But, kudos to them for using fresh products, for not testing on animals, and for hand-making the products. One thing I don't like about this particular store is that when I have ventured into this section of Macy's, I was absolutely attacked by the people working here. They were doing their best to educate me on Lush, even though I was very familiar with the products already, and were trying really hard to get me to sample all sorts of things. I know this is their job and I see what they are trying to do but they were just a little too overzealous, and more so than the staff at other lush stores. read more

I have a few hippie friends who rely on Lush to avoid being dirty hippies, and I've been listening to them rave about Lush for years now. I've received a bunch of their stuff as gifts, and sampled a fair amount of stuff in their store, and my final verdict is.... whatever. Yeah, it's great that they're organic and against animal testing and use minimal packaging and all that hippie goodness. Plus I was a Bath & Body Works salesgirl back in college, so I like all the fruity and flowery stuff. And I love decadent baths. (Hint: glass of white wine or ice water.) But I just can't get into Lush. Patchouli is a component of way too many things (which defeats the not-hippie-smelling objective). It's way over priced, and too many of the products are disappointing. At $5-$7 for a bath, the bath bombs are not much more entertaining than throwing an Alka Seltzer in the bath except it smells better and makes the water turn color. I'd still rather use Mr. Bubble. Never mind all the bath bombs with dried flowers or glitter or other shrapnel that gets all over my skin and bathtub. ICK!! I'll use the bubble bars when I have them, but I'd still rather a buy a bottle of liquid bubble bath from anywhere. No crumbling anything, and more bubbles at less expense. I really like the massage bars, but they can be greasy for a few minutes, so I have to be careful about what fabrics I touch after using them. My least favorite product of all time was some H'Suan Wen Hua conditioner. I was told by a 'friend' that it smelled like pumpkin pie. This person lied to me because the conditioner smelled like compost. My hair reeeeeked for four days, in spite of much shampooing to try to get the stench out. (When you have long hair, you can't escape how your hair smells.) I'll pop by the standalone Lenox store if I need a gift for a known Lush Fanatic, but for myself, I prefer the bath aisle at Wal-Greens. read more

Walking into Lush is a sensation of crazy colors, smells, bright lights and friendly Lush workers dying to give you a hand treatment. UK based beauty company believes in fresh ingredients (face masks are so fresh they're refrigerated), keeping mice safe (no animal testing), and handmaking everything (massive blocks of soap have little flags with the picture of its maker!). Products include stuff like shower jelly, which looks like J-ello on acid, and soaps called 'Its a pleasure treasure.' Aside from the earth-friendly vibe, the key ingredient is that entering Lush, you feel that the main thing they've added is fun. Anywhere that calls a top selling product 'sonic death monkey' is ok in my book. Just like every other cool store, we're one of the latter metros to get a Lush. But my Lush love started a while ago while studying abroad in the UK. One of their signature scents is called Karma, which I have from eight years ago, still proudly displayed on the shelf. Yes, its turned an unnatural color and has probably converted to straight alcohol, but I love having it . . . and now I can replenish! read more

Lush is the #1 reason why I'll put up with the consistently annoying amount of traffic getting in and out of Lenox Square Mall. Like Deanna said, it's like a candyland of beauty and bath products. They specialize in bath bombs that are balls of skin-pampering ingredients that fizz when you drop them in the bath. A lot of the bombs will even turn your bathwater into amazing shades of blue, pink or purple and will leave long-lasting aromas in the air. Besides the bombs, they have body/face soaps, massage bars, moisturizers, lip balms and even deodorant bars and powders. What's cool about Lush is that all of the products are handmade with natural ingredients. What's not cool is that since they're handmade, they don't last very long and many soaps melt away after a dozen uses (depending on the size of soap you get, it could be half a dozen uses). Lush is still a great way to pamper yourself, or friends and family. Fellas, you're sure to score some points from your girl if you surprise with something from here. My Lush-crush started years ago when I did study abroad in London, and I'm so glad they've finally opened an outpost in the A. This is a great, girly spot for picking up fun soaps and bath products. To me, the highlight is the cool, handcut soaps which look perfect on display for your guests in the bathroom! From body wash you keep in the fridge to massage bars that heat things up - there's something to treat yourself with at this shop! I'm in love with Lush, its products, ideology and the two ladies who helped me last night. I stopped by just to purchase their fabulous lip balm but obviously got sidetracked by all the glorious products. I chatted with one gal (whose name fails me but she was super cool- had blonde hair with pink streaks.) We chatted about my hair, how it was feeling sups dry and frizzy and she recommended Retrend which is a conditioner. As a fellow blonde she understood how bleaching ones hair strips it and she shared her success story with this product. She gave tips on how to apply it and gave me samples on another deep conditioner and a shampoo. I love that this store cares so much about offering cruelty free products and it's evident that the employees I interacted with last night share that passion. We had an stimulating discussion about the evils of animal testing and it re-affirmed my desire to continue supporting cruelty free stores. Sure, the products aren't cheap but, when I believe in the cause and receive stellar customer service, I'm happy to spend more. I have no idea if I am reviewing the standalone Lush or the Macy's lush. It wouldn't really matter because I have bought things from both. Last year my friend gave me a Cinders bathbomb for Christmas and I was hooked. I saw the prices though and figured I better hold off just a bit..I did make it to July. I took a bunch of friends who have not seen the light here and only one was interested. That was lame..but that one friend outspent me because she loved everything! I love love love the I Love Juicy shampoo. I don't like to wash my hair too much because it would go wild, but the only thing that sucks about having it is my hair being dyed partially blue right now. This shampoo would totally start stripping it out so fast. :( Oddly too it makes my hair oily really fast despite the fact it's for oily hair. Go figure. I don't use it every time for that reason. I think one of the salespeople tried to show me the shampoo called BIG and I was like whoa check out the already big hair, it does not need that! But upon her next suggestion of I Love Juicy, everything was settled. I love combining bathbombs and bubble bars. I actually cut one of the blackberry bath bombs in half to use twice because it's pretty big. That combined with a marshmallow scented bubble bar was excellent. I don't see that bubble bar on the website right now, I know it had a rather long name so it was nicknamed MMM. Oh well. Then around Christmas, I got the Bearded Lady bubble bar, with a banana-citrusy scent and paired that with another product I can't find. Whaaaaaaatever. I was going to end this by saying if you like to buy a ton of stuff, their UK site can be of good value for you...but looks like it was breached by hackers so nevermind. I really like LUSH and LUSH products. The first time I ever got any f their products was a few years back from a sister-in-law who frequently channels "dirty hippie". I can appreciate the fact that their products are fresh, natural, made by hand, do NOT test on animals, and support greener living through responsible buying and packaging. I am not a fan of fruity or food-like smelling soaps and/or bath products. I just don't want to soak in a fruit salad. That being said, there ARE alternatives -- just like at any other bath product store ((ie: B&BW)). I enjoy the more natural and organic smelling shampoo bars, conditioner blocks, and soap bricks. That being said, I had to come down one star because they ARE rather expensive. (But I assume that's simply because anything worth having doesn't come cheap.) Also, my husband hates anything that has ANY kind of smell, so... I have to wait for a day that he'll be gone from the house before me to pull my fancy stuff out from under the sink. However, I think that their little package-deals do make good gift sets ((hint hint)) and think that I'll be giving those out this year for the holidays... too bad I didn't think of it sooner. read more

I've been a loyal customer for years, and I was so, so, so happy when they opened a store (and then multiple ones!) in ATL. The store associates can be a little overzealous, but overall this by far beats out buying things online since you can smell them first. I am not a fan of patchouli type things, so I'm not big on karma and such, but I love their new strawberry and vanilla products. So yummy! While the SAs can be overzealous, they do know their stuff, and I can always count on a super fabulous gay associate to hook me up. Last time I went, I got big samples of all the new stuff, plus a full sized mask, so I definitely went home happy. :D Overall, yes, Lush is expensive. But their products are worth it. I am happy to spend my money on a company that is mostly vegan, all vegetarian, eco-conscious, and still makes their soap and things by hand and is incredibly innovative. P.S. Got together with a few of the girls today for an outing at LUSH. The wonderful Nicole took such great care of us! My 2 friends each got facials and all three of us got a foot mask applied, which was followed by a soak in warm water and then two other products (I wish I remember what they were!) I get pedicures every 3 weeks, so I like to think my feet are pretty well taken care of, but whatever that foot mask was totally amazed me. My feet felt better than after any pedicure I've ever had. Unfortunately in my effort to be a great girlfriend I forgot to buy the amazing products for my feet while searching for a facial moisturizer for my guy. Next time I'm going to be selfish and get the feet stuff for me. The area they have inside Macy's is regrettably small and fills up with people very quickly. Still, the staff seemed to keep up with the demand and have a real love for their products. The only LUSH products I'd used previously were the bath bombs, but it's been about 6 years. I took advantage of being there and listened to the inner-stressed-Lyndsay and bought 4 of them. Can't wait to use them! I don't know how often they do demonstrations like the one we were treated to today, but they're not set up as a spa, so don't expect that. read more

I love Lush products. I'm definitely a fan of fruity, girly, fun body products. After working at Bath & Body Works for years, the idea of unscented anything is downright offensive to me. Almost all of my bath and body products are Lush at this point. The current staff knows me and my preferences and they're always happy to lay on the free samples. When I've had a bad day, I know I can cruise through here, pick up some bath bombs or bubble bars, and feel better. My whole skincare routine is their products. I'm particularly fond of the Full of Grace serum as my night cream and the Breath of Fresh Air toner. If I have one complaint, it's that their cosmetics aren't quite as good. The eyeliner NEVER stays on. I've tried pretty much everything to get it to stay and nothing works. The lipsticks are solid and will stay on, especially the more pigmented ones. Maybe it's because they use more natural ingredients so they just don't have the staying power of the other stuff. I adore the peacock blue eyeliner, but I don't want my whole eyelid to be that color after only a few hours of wear. If they could fix that problem, I'd be sold. read more

My friend is a big fan of Lush so when she came to visit, she "demanded" that we stop by here. I am sure I had passed by it while shopping in the mall since I typically enter thru Macy's but I never paid it any mind. They have bath and body items, makeup, hair, and perfume items. I was most interested in the bath products. They have quite the variety of scents, very interesting to look thru them all. You can also try out products with the help of staff. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I bought three different items to try out: Bath bomb - "exploding with essential oils, flower petals and tons of fizzy fun." Bath melt - "Our solid bath oils deliver an enchanted bathing experience for those times when you truly want to transform your body and mind. Decadent natural butters and loads of gorgeous essential oils melt into the water and then into your skin, creating a supremely softening and scented sanctuary." I got two versions of the bath melt. One was small like a piece of soap. This one is very susceptible to melting. Even though I stored it in my bathroom under the sink, I check on it to find that it was melting away. Ah! So just the warm temperature can do it. The other version was more of a cupcake-shaped block. You can tear this in half to spread the wealth. Note: you can also combine the various products in your bath. I actually have yet to use the products cause I don't take baths often. But I just got suckered in looking around with my friend. I guess I gotta make myself relax in the tub sometime soon. read more

Ok so I hope this a review of the LUSH at Lenox Mall....they have 2 locations in Lenox if you can believe it, one INSIDE Macy's and one on the other side of the mall close to the Ed Hardy's Store. I even asked one of the staff at the location near the Ed Hardy's why they has 2 locations in the mall, and she told me that the clientele on the other side of the mall, won't come down to this side of the mall to buy the LUSH products (Um I really hope we are not THAT lazy!) I love Lush, and this is a pretty long review of their products. First off I love taking a bath....it's soothing and relaxing. Bath Bombs My favorite bath bomb (yes that's right a bath bomb!) from Lush is the honey bee, followed by Fairy Jasmine and Fizzbanger. Honey lumps is good as well, I don't like fizz in the flower and softy, because they contain flower parts that end up floating in your bath tub, and leaving a bit of soapy scum-mess to clean afterward. SOLUTION to this, is to use a knee high stocking and put the fizz in the flower or softy (The English garden one was the worse with the flower bits, but they discontinued it) bath bomb in the knee high stocking before putting it into your bath, that is the way I kept from getting all the flowery bits into the tub. Bubble Bars I love their french kiss and Karma bubble bars! They even have a men's one called "the wuss" that smells, well, pretty manly. Shower Jellies The Whoosh is my favorite, but BE WARNED it's weird to shower with this jelly consistency that breaks off into little jelly bits. Massage bars I love the glitterbug and the shimmy shimmy. I use these before going out dancing, and I always get complimented on my glitter shine! These massage bars will get warmer as you massage. Shaving creams They used to have a "shave the planet" shaving cream that is now discontinued. I've tried their Ambrosia, and it's just not the same.... The soaps I have tried almost all of their bar soaps. The cool thing is you can ask them to cut you a bar soap worth 5 euro, or whatever you want to spend, and they will do their best. Some of my fav's ~The godmother ~The rock star ~Honey I washed the kids (best seller) ~Karma ~Sandstone (real sand to help exfoliate) ~Sea vegetable (great for exfoliating has natural salt) ~Bohemian (Nice lemon scent to wake you up in the am) Some of my not so fav's ~Mud flaps, I think I became dirtier when I use it ~No. 1 Seed Soap - weird and seedy ~Figs and leaves, I had to clean the shower because there were leave remnants in it (yuck!) great for X-mas gifts They have gift boxes that combine a few great items, starting at $19.99. In jan these gift boxes go on sale and you can use the items for a full year (BONUS)! Staff/Location ~The staff has always been friendly at the location near the Ed Hardy's store. Really friendly willing to give me a product demo, involving everyone in the store when they give a demo, they even told me about signing up online and getting invited to "LUSH parties" where you can score free LUSH products! HUGE BONUS Macy's Location Staff ~Never had an issue, but not s friendly as the staff near the Ed Hardy's. I've never seen them demo anything in the Macy's LUSH either. read more

I just couldn't believe all of the bad reviews of LUSH! I just love to walk in and smell all of the products. They have alot of different scents in their soap line, and not all of them have patchouli in them. You just have to find what works. I really do not think that the products are that expensive, regular perfumes and lotions anywhere else are not really all that cheap. Neither are good facial lotions. Anyway, you just have to try different products. My fav bar soap is "Keep it fluffy"-wow my skin was so soft without any lotion. I also love the solid hair shampoos, they are so different-and easy to use! They also give small samples if you are not sure of something, but really want to try it. This store has amazing bath bombs and skin care products. I have been a few times and am never disappointed. The bath bombs are roughly the size of a softball and really do turn the water different colors. The glitter added is not plastic. All of their products are environmental friendly.
