First impression was how big this place is. There were aisles and aisles of beauty items, wigs, shampoos and anything else you can think of to keep you jazzy. I was on the hunt for a new shower cap, bonnet and scarf for myself and a baby durag/scarf for my son to use in coming months. With all the hair that I have, I need really big bonnets and things like that to keep my locs in order and some places just don't keep them in stock. Lucky me, I found them here! The prices were also really reasonable as I have seen these items in the past at some places that were charging over $10 for them! There were only 2 baby scarves and they were a little too girly for him (albeit, perfect for me lol) so I skipped in and figured I'd find something more neutral at another spot. I took a lap around the store and they really had it all. There were a few sections that were missing some items but it looked to be kids stuff which makes sense as school is just getting back into session and the kiddos want to look fresh! Checking out was easy and the woman at the front was so kind and patient as I browsed the items on display. A good experience during a random visit!

A lot of the girls they hire have bad attitudes, and it seems like they're chosen just because they can "relate" to the customers, not because of professionalism. My biggest issue is the tape and sensors they put on products. I understand they're trying to prevent people from opening items, and stealing but if the staff isn't prepared to properly remove the tape and sensor at checkout, they shouldn't apply them. It's a headache trying to peel that off at home it damages the packaging and makes the product look ugly. I gave two stars because there is one young lady who's always so pleasant and helpful every time I come in. I wish I knew her name she's a really beautiful, short Black girl who wears long braids and she always goes out of her way to help me find what I need.

The wig lady firmly asked me not to run my fingers through the wig; apparently I missed the large sign that asks people NOT to run fingers through the wig hairs. I definitely understand because that's how wigs get damaged and frizzy. They had a relatively nice wig selection, and I would come here again just for that. I will patronize the other one just because they're my peoples and I want to support their business.

However, before leaving I checked my Apple Wallet app to verify the transaction and found that they had added $30 extra dollars to the transaction for a total of $73.93!!! I went to the cashier and showed him the transaction and he got all nervous and said that he must have hit a wrong button! How can a wrong button have been hit if you gave me a final receipt showing $43.93??? He said he needed to call someone to credit back the $30 but I could go ahead and leave. Mind you, he had taken my original receipt back. I told him and would wait and that he could go ahead and refund the entire order. I waited and held onto the purchased items until he handed me a receipt showing the $73.93 refund & I verified my Apple Wallet app showed the refund.
