Dr Gamble was not in but her employee was so kind and she did not make any assumptions about why I wanted to buy a wig. She taught me how to put on a wig and I was so shocked about how comfortable I was letting her see my real hair. I can't even bring myself to go to a hair stylist. Since I did not find exactly what I wanted, she took down information about the style and color of the wig I was looking for. Dr Gamble contacted me the next day and we set up a time to consult. She spent a lot of time showing me options, explaining the differences in wigs, and was so considerate of my price range. At the end of our meeting, we found a wig I wanted but she did not pressure me to buy it (even after helping me for over an hour). She told me to think about it and let her know. I ended up making my decision 30 minutes after I left. The best part is that she was excited about my choice. Any apprehension I felt was completely gone. I would strongly encourage anybody who is feeling very sensitive about their situation to go see Dr Gamble. They will leave feeling so much better, and even confident, about the choice to wear a wig.

She said we would have to custom order it to make it into my hair color. I would have to spend about $750 on a wig before being able to see one in my color. I also knew they carried black wigs because the lady next to me were being shown them. For the lady next to me, her hairdresser was asking questions to her, making her feel comfortable and making sure everything she tried on was ok, while mine did the opposite. I was there for less than 10 minutes and they told me to pay $25 for the consultation fee that they never even specified to me. This is the first time I've been to a wig shop. I was so nervous and my nerves have gotten even worse while I was there. They even told me that they do not take any measurements either. They were all way out of my price range. I am practically in tears right now. I will not stop into this wig shop ever again. Once I step into stores I wonder if I will be treated like all the other customers because of how short and young looking I look. I'm in my 40s. Now I know I will not be treated the same. I'm never coming here again. I did notice a trend when I walked in there. The older ladies who were shopping around and having wigs put on them were treated much more nicely than someone like me.

I was greeted when I entered to the store and I headed straight to the back to the wigs. There was a lady already helping another customer try on wigs. She still checked on me when she had the opportunity to and then she helped me with trying on my wig as well. She also helped me find a nice wig brush too. This store has a lot to offer. The selection was great but this place is very tiny. I found myself having to squeeze by other customers and having to make sure I didn't knock anything over. I was told by the stylist that braiding my hair was not a part of installation. She stated that it would take her 2 hours if she had to braid my hair and that she couldn't do it. What kind of stylist takes 2 hours to braid hair for a wig installation? What kind of stylist requires you to have your hair braided prior to install? I have never experienced these issues ever anywhere else. The worst part is that because it was the last appointment I was unable to book another appointment elsewhere. I had plans for travel the next morning and events planned with no wig installed. I missed my birthday dinner party because I had to find a professional to accomplish what this lady could not do or did not want to do. Very unprofessional and a waste of time. It could've been an honest mistake but for places that do not give itemized receipts please be sure you fact check their total.
