I wasn't looking for fashionable or trendy... just comfort... and I expressed all of this to the lovely gentleman who was assisting me at Fleet Feet. He had me stand on their foot measuring thing- turns out I have very high arches (I thought they were normal?) and I've been wearing the wrong size shoe- slightly too small. So he pulled some arch support and brought out 3-4 options of shoes that fit what I was looking for, and in the correct size, too. I did spend quite a bit of money on the final shoes that I chose (fair warning!) - but I was prepared to do that so I can enjoy my upcoming vacation.
