First time visiting Joule Salon. I called and asked if they had any appointment for that same day. I was so surprised when they said yes! I live 5min down the road so I told them I could be in there in about 10min!! So happy I finally decided to get a haircut! Giulia was AMAZING!! She made me feel so comfortable. I wasn't sure how much I wanted to cut because I've been growing out my hair for my wedding, but she gave me great advice. My hair feels so healthy and looks SUPER GOOD!!! Not only that, but Giulia also gave me pointers for my wedding hair style.... she gave me advice on wedding makeup, she's just so personable and great! I recently visited this salon for the first time after not having a hair cut in over a year. Yes, it was a mess. Saturday morning I called the salon to see if by chance they could fit me in. Much to my surprise, they had an opening with Samantha. I was so impressed that they could fit me in on the busiest day of the week. Once I arrived, the salon was spotless. It's in a great location right beside La Farm in Cary (who doesn't like a good bakery). The team took me back, Samantha consulted me on what my expectations were and an assistant washed my hair. Samantha was friendly and asked if everything looked okay throughout the cut. Must say, Samantha did a great job. My hair is much healthier now. Hopefully it won't be another year before I return. I am originally from NY, have been in NC for 7 years. It was only about 6 months prior to COVID I FINALLY found an amazing hairdresser, unfortunately she did not come back to the Salon once the Salon's reopened, I was so disappointed. I found Joule on Yelp, the reviews were terrific, I called and described my hair (which is tricky) and Giulia was recommended. I have to say she was fantastic!!!! Giulia listened, was friendly and did an AMAZING job! My cut and color look fantastic. I know during these times there are much bigger issues to consider, that being said it is also so nice that something that can make you feel so much better about yourself can be achieved during these times, especially when taking a chance on someone new. I just moved to the area recently and desperately needed a root touch up and haircut before a family event. It's always nerve-wracking to me to try and find a new salon. I called asking about an appointment with a specific stylist based on her website biography. She was not available, but Giulia was, so I made an appointment with her for the next day. The salon is in a great location. It is clean and bright, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Giulia listened to my intention to grow out a short haircut and came up with a plan. She recommended a color match and a toner. Under the salon lights, it ended up looking darker than I expected, but I still liked it- and actually when I got home and looked in my own mirror, it was perfect. The toner knocked out some summer "brassiness" and overall, it was a wonderful experience! I've booked appointments with Giulia through the end of the year, and I am so happy to have found "my place" here. read more

This salon is owned by a master designer Lisa Rivoli from New York who is constantly educating and mentoring stylists. Hard to find a New York haircut in these parts but not here as half the staff cut and styled hair there! Samantha is my color therapist... and while she will personally don a pink or blue streak in her golden locks.. she pays attention to seasons and what I really need .. regardless of my whims. After a health scare I lost a lot of hair... handfuls and came in shaky early one morning, fretting about what to do--- Lisa touched my head and hair and brought me back to center... we are going to handle this-- I am going to heal your hair...and together, we have.. it is full and beautiful again. I visited Joule Salon yesterday for a haircut during my lunch hour and returned to work and rave reviews. This is a very nice salon -- warm and inviting, clean and courteous -- and Lisa, the owner, is a real talent. I had a perm done by Nicole. She fried my hair, over processing it. It was horrible. When I called to inform them that my hair was just frizz and That it was so dried out, I couldn't put a comb through it, Nicole's response was she didn't know what happened! And did not bother to apologize or say she was sorry. No offers to fix the problem, either. She couldn't have cared less. I was so upset, I did not want to leave the house or be seen in public. The owner, Lisa, was just as bad. No concern from either of them. I have never encountered such lack of customer care or concern. They just ignored the problem and never rectified it ! The only person who is fabulous there is Kelly who colors my hair and cuts it. She is such a sweet person and Really cares. I would highly recommend her. read more

Staff was so friendly from the minute i walked in . I have been going to the Joule Salon and Larissa has been my stylist and I am happy with what she did, however the product that they use at the salon is horrible. The owner Lisa is a rude liar who is the worst part of the salon. Normally when I go there I spend anywhere from $150- $300 bucks depending on the service and I have always tipped her 20 percent. Most recently I went to Larissa and had baylayage in which I have lost a lot of hair. The bleach destroyed my hair and it broke off. I paid $350.00 and had to write a check because I needed a new debit card. Someone had written me a check which bounced and in turn caused my check to bounce and I had not heard anything and because this had happened my bank froze the one account and forwarded everything to the new one. I was not able to view the account and did not realize the check had bounced. I then received a nasty message from Lisa insinuating that I committed theft. I did not steal anything and had never gotten a call from her. I explained to her that I was going to take care of it. According to my bank the merchant is suppose to notify you by US mail and allow you to correct this prior to seeking legal action. Not only did she appear threatening from the beginning she also contacted the police and filed a false report stating that the account was closed when the check was written when the account is not even closed to this day. I have been in contact with police in which I sent her the money. Lisa is in fact a liar because she stated that my bank told her the account was closed which when I talked to my bank they told me that would not ever happen and even if the account would have been closed they could not tell her that because she is not on my account what they did tell her is that they could not process that check because I had already began the process of rectifying her situation. The reason that I am even writing this review is to show that Lisa does not care about her customers and I was in fact a victim of something and tried to get this handled ASAP. Legally when my hair fell out and broke off then I could technically have taken her and her stylist to civil court. I really like Larissa and that was the only reason I went back but every time I went there my hair always faded in less than a week and I would have to pay someone else to correct it costing way more than I should. I have reimbursed her however she is not a good business person and has filed a false police report stating it was a closed account, I have all my text and unfortunately could not get them to post to this review. Please be careful that you are never in need of her to be a real person instead of the liar that she is. She has some excellent stylist that are too good to work in her salon. She is an evil person and it is amazing that she has been in business this long. I also plan to contact the BBB as well and will continue to make sure that everyone knows how she treats people that were spending about 200 every 3 weeks in her salon. I wanted to do this sooner but wanted to make sure that I had corrected my part first. read more

There are a variety of price points as well so the Joule is mindful of your budget. The Joule also has a beauty bar where you can purchase your make up.
