Cut and fashion color. Top color was supposed to be purple to blue transition.

I wanted to like this salon and tried going there 3x, but something about the vibe or culture doesn't sit well. While the decor is nice, you can tell it's a newer salon. Maybe it's the upselling or the questions you get regarding whether or not you want a particular service, as if you are not knowledgeable or have been to a salon in the past, that comes off a bit odd. Couple that with the recent price increases (I am from California, I have been to my fair share of upscale salons and I can afford to pay good $$$$ and I have in the past) for the area, and what you get....the price point doesn't quite fit the area/region (think color ounces being charged a la carte if you hair used more than the "typical" ounces used). The bottom line is that it's a salon in a shopping center, not on rodeo drive in Beverly Hills. To that point, the parking is a bit hit or miss. You may or may not get parking in front of the salon because of this, so heads up. The one major highlight of my experiences there was with a stylist I found by chance. Kelsi Johnson. Her hair-cutting skills are exceptional, and she is so sweet. No pressure sales and a true professional. However, since my last visit, she's no longer with the salon. So, my reason for frequenting that salon is now over. I've moved on and found a fantastic new salon. Good luck as you explore your options. I hope this helps.

I have consistently enjoyed my experiences at Sunday Salon from start to finish. Having been a client for over a year, I'm so happy and relieved to have found a place where I always leave satisfied! During my time at Sunday, I've grown to appreciate how engaged the salon owners, Lisa and Andrew, are with the clients. They introduced themselves to me and always strive to ensure my experience is exceptional. Before trying Sunday, I did my research, and I really appreciated how active they are on social media. It's incredibly helpful for potential clients, like once me, to gather ideas and inspiration from their posts. For my first appointment, I worked with Katherine Beingolea. I've continued booking with her ever since! She built a strong rapport, discussed my hair vision, and set *actual* achievable hair goals. Katherine has significantly improved the integrity of my hair, which is crucial as a blonde. Unlike past experiences in other salons (where I left with my hair breaking and falling out), my hair has never felt stronger under her care. Sunday offers a selection of hair products, and I'm hooked! They offer the brand Virtue, and I can't emphasize enough how these products transformed my hair!! Now, even my friends and family use Virtue because I have seen such a difference. Might be silly, but I also appreciate the thoughtful touches like the beverage selections and candies they provide. Sunday always offers a beverage at the beginning of my appointment, so I don't feel like I have to stop and grab a drink beforehand which is something I care about because I love a good Diet Coke or coffee! I highly recommend Sunday Salon to anyone!

I went in for color and cut. I was late for my color appointment and they couldn't take me (100% my fault but they were very nice about it) but I was able to keep my cut for that afternoon. I had very long hair and wanted something basic that would make my hair healthier and easy to maintain. My stylist was snipping away and started to style my hair while still cutting which I thought was odd at the time but I had the impression this was a good place so I let it go. I left thinking it looked good because it was curled and felt nice but as the day went on I noticed that it was really off. I ended up straightening my hair a few hours later and this is what it looked like...a $150 chop job. They offered a 7 day adjustment period for me to come back in and get it fixed but I ended up going somewhere else to try and salvage it. I'm only giving an extra star because they were kind, had online appointment booking and I genuinely enjoyed the stylist's company but I won't go back and won't ever recommend this place.

Sunday salon, never blonde towards the roots and always yellow, dark spots everywhere (specially the sides of my head)

If you want to have the perfect blonde hair, do NOT come to this salon. I was extremely patient when a new stylish turned my hair gray. The owners were very apologetic but they still charged me for the services that turned a perfect blonde to gray (thousands of dollars wasted from keeping my blonde for years). I gave them another change (2x!) but the owner who is actually very sweet, could not get my blonde back. She said it would take her a few visits to get it back. Well, my fiancé and I did not adjust to NC living and any of the services we go there so we came back to our main city, Las Vegas. I went back to my stylish who got my blonde back in literally 2 hours. I am not sure what Sunday Salon is missing, if it is experience or quality products but the results of their services don't match their excellent hospitality. Attached are pictures of my roots after a day with Sunday salon (they were never blonde enough) and the second picture is a day after my visit to my salon here in LV. What a difference!

Lizzie is such an amazing hair stylist! I loved her and she so amazing with my hair. I have high shrinking and frizzy hair she nailed it with the cut. She listened to everything I wanted and more. I would recommend Sunday salon to anyone!

    Long layered blonde hair

I've been coming here since they opened almost three years ago! The customer service is unmatched and I love my hair every time. I am a picky blonde client and they exceed all my expectations!

At scheduling time, the receptionist was very nice and worked with me to find a time that fits schedules well. I was scheduled with Michaela for a Halo face framing type situation and was greeted very kindly by her and everyone else at the front desk. They offer you water and other beverages there as you arrive. There is also local crafted jewelry in the sitting area to browse. Getting back to hair, Michaela was very personable, funny, nice, and professional. The experience was nice and it feels like you're just chatting with an old friend. Honestly I probably chat too much but the story of my life LOL. They take you back to the hair washing area which is quiet and Serene, ready for relaxation. They also offer you and I mask type essential oil situation where you can pick different scents. After your hair is done washing you get processed and then you go back to your sitting area. It took a little bit to get my hair to the desired look but Michaela and the salon made it very easy to work with and get the results we were hoping for. I appreciate them for being so accommodating and ease of everything. Michaela is a great stylist and I would recommend booking with her anytime! Not only will she make your hair look better but just speaking with her makes your day better too.

I was in panic mode when a friend recommended Alter Ego. I decided to give it a shot and took the quick quiz on their website to see which stylist would be the best fit for my hair texture and needs. The results led me to Abby B, and thank goodness they did. I called in and booked an appointment for the very next day. From the moment I walked in, the staff was welcoming and professional. I explained my hair situation to Abby, and she immediately made me feel heard and reassured. She took the time to understand exactly what had gone wrong, and more importantly, what I wanted going forward. To say Abby worked miracles would be an understatement. She carefully assessed the damage and worked her magic to reshape and revive my hair. I walked out with a cut that not only fixed the disaster but actually looked better than what I had originally hoped for. Abby truly listened, gave thoughtful suggestions, and showed serious skill and care. I'm beyond happy with how everything turned out and can confidently say I've found my new go-to salon. If you're looking for a stylist who's talented, kind, and truly invested in making you feel good about your hair, Alter Ego, and especially Abby B, is the place to go.

The final result looked nothing like what we discussed. The cut was uneven, the styling was sloppy, and I left genuinely upset. When I brought up my concerns, the stylist became defensive instead of trying to fix the problem. For how much I paid, this level of service is unacceptable. To make things worse, I overheard multiple stylists talking badly about another coworker and using foul language. It created an uncomfortable, unprofessional, and negative atmosphere. This is not the kind of environment anyone wants to sit in for hours. Overall, this was a complete waste of time and money. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Scissorhands is my family's favorite with my two younger brothers regularly getting haircuts here. Andy is not as friendly as Miss Kim in Morrisville, but we recently had a nice conversation about the Korean language since I just started studying it. The cut was masterful, for sure, and followed the example I showed in a photo saved in my phone. Shampoo was included at no additional cost and I did not have to wait in my latest visit around Friday noon. I used to pay around $30 to $35 for a regular men's cut but the latest service, Andy charged me $40 (not including tips). As for the atmosphere, it's more spacious than their old location (where they shared space with other salons) but it's not as spacious as Hair News. Nonetheless, it's in a good location by High House Road, close to Cici's Pizza, a small Walmart market, and just less than 5 minutes drive away from HMart.

It ended up being $70 which is pretty expensive in my opinion for just a woman's haircut. If you don't mind paying a hefty price, you should come here.

Also the charge is listed as a recurring payment on my bank account so they have access to recharge my card repeatedly and feel they don't have to answer to it. The owner (Zachary H.) was absolutely horrible when asked about working with us to resolve the issue. There is nothing in their policy that states no-refunds or partial credits, in fact, it states they will do everything they can to ensure you leave happy! That's actually crazy. If they wanted to ensure their customers were happy they could simply provide the service that was already canceled a month ago, paid for anyway (against my will), and still refused by the salon. They could have made it right in any way but they simply refused. These people don't care about their customers. Beware!! Go somewhere else and guard your card information!!!!! EDIT: Hi zachary. Just wanted to let you know, your reply on my review very much shows just how much of the run around you gave me. No business in their right minds puts pocketing $350 over the satisfaction of their customers. Tell me why Roots Salon and Wellness in Cary NC chooses to do so? Is arguing with your customers the best way to handle customer service? I was just wondering. Also, you haven't shown ME proof of anything. I want to see proof that I didn't call and cancel the appoitment, because it is simple to pull call logs from my end. Is it from yours? also, I was not provided a copy of this signed document. I would like one. I would like to know the best way to pick that up since we aren't exactly "welcome" at your salon. Next, there is no clause that I am aware of (I don't have a copy because I wasn't provided one) that states if partial credits, deposits towards future appointments or no refunds will be made. Understand that in small claims court, that will be pointed out. You denied me the service after the fact. Not just a refund, but the service itself. Dont forget that point. Another Edit: "We are very understanding and lenient because we know that life happens and things come up" seems very untrue considering the great lengths you're willing to go to to keep my money now. Just saying.... One more edit ... I wanted to point out that the Brazilian blow out was a service sold to me while sitting in your salon chair. It was an UPSELL that was pitched to me while I had a stylist doing my hair. It wasn't something I asked for, it was recommended and promoted by your team as I was getting my original service done. the price of the service was never told to me. I did not sign a separate document regarding the blowout. Only the original document for the highlights. No price was ever shown to me but the website specifically lists "$250-$350" as the price RANGE for the service provided. When I called and asked the salon why I was charged the upper end of this range automatically, they said that the Brazilian blowout is $350 and the other smoothing services are the ones that are $250. That's not what is listed on the webpage. Only the price range. This price was not communicated to me prior to signing up for this service that I had no prior knowledge about and that was "sold" to me while in the salon.
