I booked highlights with gloss and a cut, I had the pleasure of booking with Delaney. She was professional, talented, and so fun to spend the afternoon with. My appointment was at 12 she finished around 3. I'm new to NC and had spent weeks looking online and reading reviews on salons. It's a big deal going to a new salon. The vibes were clean friendly and relaxing. Although they did inform me they will be moving to a new location very soon. I left the salon feeling so happy with everything, my color cut and style, including the price, it was 340$, I think, sorry don't remember the exact total. It was money well spent. They canceled my appointment 20 minutes before the service. I booked on May 1st & paid for half the service for May 14th I was on the way there when they canceled with a 20 minutes notice. My hair takes about 5 hours so obviously no one else was available to do the service I needed. Every other master stylist is booked until June including the one I originally booked with (hense why I booked a month out and waited two weeks for my appointment) they refunded my deposit but now my birthday is in two weeks and its too late to book anything else. read more

I wanted to like this salon and tried going there 3x, but something about the vibe or culture doesn't sit well. While the decor is nice, you can tell it's a newer salon. Maybe it's the upselling or the questions you get regarding whether or not you want a particular service, as if you are not knowledgeable or have been to a salon in the past, that comes off a bit odd. Couple that with the recent price increases (I am from California, I have been to my fair share of upscale salons and I can afford to pay good $$$$ and I have in the past) for the area, and what you get....the price point doesn't quite fit the area/region (think color ounces being charged a la carte if you hair used more than the "typical" ounces used). The bottom line is that it's a salon in a shopping center, not on rodeo drive in Beverly Hills. To that point, the parking is a bit hit or miss. You may or may not get parking in front of the salon because of this, so heads up. The one major highlight of my experiences there was with a stylist I found by chance. Kelsi Johnson. Her hair-cutting skills are exceptional, and she is so sweet. No pressure sales and a true professional. However, since my last visit, she's no longer with the salon. I had a consult here and told the stylist I wanted my hair cut a little with face framing layers and blunt in the back. I wanted balayage but he said it would damage my hair and to get a gloss that would make it healthy and shiny. He said it would be a warm tint. I came back for my appointment and apparently he didn't remember the cut I asked for and while glossing it told me it would wash out in 8 weeks. The color was super dark not a tint. I was nervous because it had a permanent smell. They charged me $380 including tip, and when I asked for the reciept, it had color AND gloss with cut. I was surprised because he never used the words "color", only gloss. I had no idea. When I went home I was trying to get used to the dark color I didn't expect and the cut that was not what I wanted. I emailed the owner asking if it would for sure wash out because I had a feeling it was permanent. I tried being polite so I wouldn't cause the stylist to get in trouble. Almost two months later it still didn't wash out. I called to say "is this normal it's not washing out?" They had me come in. She said it wouldn't wash out but fade. I was sad and left after she offered a cut or refund. When I emailed the next day saying I would take the refund she got angry. She called me names and accused me of lying etc. she made veiled threats toward me twice in emails, demanding I take down this review. After I posted a review on google she looked up my socials and started harassing me about how my hair surely wasn't virgin like I had said in my appointment. I showed her the pic she was commenting on so I'm not sure where her surprise came from. I said I was told I was level 8 blonde and she said maybe 9. My hair bleaches in the sun and I hadn't ever colored it. This freaked me out a lot. Her and her husband then proceeded to threaten me with legal repercussions for compensation. During my time at Sunday, I've grown to appreciate how engaged the salon owners, Lisa and Andrew, are with the clients. They introduced themselves to me and always strive to ensure my experience is exceptional. Before trying Sunday, I did my research, and I really appreciated how active they are on social media. It's incredibly helpful for potential clients, like once me, to gather ideas and inspiration from their posts. For my first appointment, I worked with Katherine Beingolea. I've continued booking with her ever since! She built a strong rapport, discussed my hair vision, and set *actual* achievable hair goals. Katherine has significantly improved the integrity of my hair, which is crucial as a blonde. Unlike past experiences in other salons (where I left with my hair breaking and falling out), my hair has never felt stronger under her care. Sunday offers a selection of hair products, and I'm hooked! They offer the brand Virtue, and I can't emphasize enough how these products transformed my hair!! Now, even my friends and family use Virtue because I have seen such a difference. Might be silly, but I also appreciate the thoughtful touches like the beverage selections and candies they provide. Sunday always offers a beverage at the beginning of my appointment, so I don't feel like I have to stop and grab a drink beforehand which is something I care about because I love a good Diet Coke or coffee! I went in for color and cut. I was late for my color appointment and they couldn't take me (100% my fault but they were very nice about it) but I was able to keep my cut for that afternoon. I had very long hair and wanted something basic that would make my hair healthier and easy to maintain. My stylist was snipping away and started to style my hair while still cutting which I thought was odd at the time but I had the impression this was a good place so I let it go. I left thinking it looked good because it was curled and felt nice but as the day went on I noticed that it was really off. I ended up straightening my hair a few hours later and this is what it looked like...a $150 chop job. They offered a 7 day adjustment period for me to come back in and get it fixed but I ended up going somewhere else to try and salvage it. I'm only giving an extra star because they were kind, had online appointment booking and I genuinely enjoyed the stylist's company but I won't go back and won't ever recommend this place. read more

If you want to have the perfect blonde hair, do NOT come to this salon. I was extremely patient when a new stylish turned my hair gray. The owners were very apologetic but they still charged me for the services that turned a perfect blonde to gray (thousands of dollars wasted from keeping my blonde for years). I gave them another change (2x!) but the owner who is actually very sweet, could not get my blonde back. She said it would take her a few visits to get it back. Well, my fiancé and I did not adjust to NC living and any of the services we go there so we came back to our main city, Las Vegas. I went back to my stylish who got my blonde back in literally 2 hours. I am not sure what Sunday Salon is missing, if it is experience or quality products but the results of their services don't match their excellent hospitality. I was looking for a new colorist since I've relocated back to the area. Sunday Salon IS perfect. From the moment you walk in, you're pampered with a nice warm towel and beverage. The salon itself is beautiful and very clean. As for products, I appreciate how they use high end brands that are great for your hair. They don't contain harsh chemicals & they smell so good (I definitely left with products). As someone who bleaches their curls, that is a must. My colorist Lisa exceeded my expectations and she truly knows her stuff. A lot of salons around here require a consultation and then you have to book out.... NOT HERE. I was able to meet Lisa for the first time at my appointment, show her inspo pictures and was able to get what I wanted. If you need balayage, highlights, or styling ... this is the place to go. Well nothing extremely special about this Salon, I booked a haircut with one of their so called Master stylists needless to say there was nothing special about my haircut, it's too short on one side and too long on another side, it looks nothing like a picture I showed her of a haircut I had a while back, a basic pixie nothing out of the ordinary but now the back is so short it sticks up one side is completely chopped while the other is long the bangs look like two year old bangs, nothing tapered or cut correctly, and they push products in you. I paid and they tried to have me book another appointment I said no and politely left. read more

i previously went here for hair color and trim. first couple of times it was great. but, they had a change in staff, and the last several times I went were lackluster at best, awful at the worst. They last 3-4 times I had my hair colored, they never rinsed it all off. a couple of times, my neck was COVERED in hair color; I would wipe off tons of it once I got to my car. The last straw was when I asked for a hair TRIM (on very curly, waist length hair) and even after telling the lady I wanted a LIGHT touch, please don't do too much, etc., and she CUT LAYERS into my hair without asking me. It was SO short. When I said so, she had the gaul to get upset with me. It is subpar work at premium prices. read more

I have finally found my salon "forever home"! After moving here a few months ago and having some not great experiences I ended up needing a correction for a botched color. I just can't say enough about Lisa and her team and this salon. She immediately made me feel super comfortable, listened to me and I think best of all - didn't make me tell her exactly what I needed but knew just looking at my hair what would be best and how long term we can get my hair to look exceptional. The salon is beautiful, and the small details aren't missed- I was greeted with a warm towel, got to choose from a menu of drinks, had a lovely head massage and they even have these little pillows to make you comfy while toning or waiting at the sink. My hair cut was perfect- Kelsey was awesome and really took time to listen to what I wanted. Just overall A+ on it all. It was refreshing and I will be recommending this salon to all I know.
