Its alright. Room was clean but the balcony was absolutely covered in spiders. Thats thanks to the light between our room and the next that shines bright as the sun all night and the obvious fact they dont sweep any of it. The rooms look newly refurbished and nice yet the wallpaper is unfinished in the open closet, the shower leaked water out of the closed door and the room smelled incredibly musty. The "closet" was a pole sticking out of the wall in the bathroom. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The blackout curtains did as good as the could against the bright as the sun light on our patio. Our room had a constant sunset glow to it despite the blackout curtains. Didnt love that. They should probably take resort out of the name till things improve. read more

Giving 3 stars for the potential but my experience is more of a 1-2 stars. Jot's Resort is a motel with 3 different buildings, each with two floors. Stayed one night, June 2026 during the 3 day 90-95 degree heat wave. They are currently renovating the inside of the rooms. I'd booked two rooms and requested the rooms be side by side or as close as possible. They had our rooms in two different buildings which wasn't going to work. Kevin, who checked me in, said I could pay $80 more to upgrade and have the rooms closer, on the same floor and same building. So we paid for the upgrade, only to get into the "upgraded" room to find out it had no AC and that it was STILL in a separate building!!! It was a SAUNA in that room. Literally. I go back to the front desk, and Kevin, who checked me in and told me there were no rooms side by side available. He then also said he FORGOT that those rooms don't have AC yet. You had the audacity to charge me more, get me less, all while wasting my time. As I'm in the lobby trying to get a resolution, more guests were coming to complain that they too had no AC. Kevin then tells me he does have another room available right below mine but that he couldn't match the price I paid on Expedia, cause he'd lose his job. So now I had to book a 3rd room. Both rooms were modestly updated. AC worked great in one room and was intermittently turning on/off in the other. The next day when checking out, the lady that helped me apologized for the difficulties and said it never should've been this complicated to get me checked in. I feel bad for all the guests that didn't have AC. The pros of this place is the location. Absolutely great views and right on the water. The property needs significant updates inside and out which they seem to be working on. This place has potential to be great. I was concerned about road noise but never heard any while in the room. read more

Jots has one of the greatest views in Gold Beach. Three years ago I had the greatest room I highly recommend this place. Last week I stayed in the main building on the left of the office. Pretty disappointed, the room smelled musty, my aunt thought it smelled of urine. Good news my bed was comfortable and shower was hot. Still it had a great view. No pictures this time. read more

The view is fantastic, but our room was gross. The carpet had stains all over and it smelled bad in the room. The grounds aren't maintained very well. Garbage cans in the stairwells that were overflowing and they had no lids, lots of cobwebs and just in bad repair. read more

the fan doesnt work at all. the beds are smaller than they say it is. the shower is very dirty, with stains, cracks ect. they need to dust down the room more. but other than that my stay was good. the view is amazing and next to a restraunt and across the bridge there is fun stuff happening. i stayed in room 201. it does look nice tho it could use some improvements read more

Upon arrival was not sure how this place would be. The outside of the hotel looks decrepit, and needs new paint. But when you enter the rooms a whole new experience. The room was clean, vibrant , great view overlooking the Rogue River. Internet connection was lagging and needs to be updated. The pool, hot tub and sauna were excellent and was never busy when we went. Overall a good place, for a good price. Not top of the line nor bottom. I would recommend this place to stay at. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights while attending a 90 birthday party. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. Got checked in and very quickly. The bed was VERY COMFORTABLE hard to find a lot of the time!!! The carpet was not very clean. Had a dog pee smell and you could tell where animals had went on the floor. Overall a good experience- perfect for what we needed along our road trip. The renovated rooms are great, and the floor to ceiling windows/patio doors are so great. Incredible views of the river, bridge, and hills. Super friendly and helpful staff as well. The first room we were given had not been cleaned yet, but the second room we were given was ready to go. You can tell a lot of effort has been put into updating these rooms. Restaurant is conveniently right across the street and has amazing food. Great service and prices there. I read some reviews on several websites. The reviews sounded pretty good. I was looking for a handicap accessible room on the ground floor, close to parking, very clean room and continental breakfast. Made reservations for 2 nights. I am extremely disappointed. Handicap accessible was a 40 foot ramp taking you up to the second floor... Very hard for me. The place is rather run down and the room we were in needed work. No breakfast. But the pillows and bed were quite good. I can't recommend this place and we won't be coming back. Wish it was better, nice location on the river. read more

Nice location and we have stayed there before and have another stay coming up,but I'm not impressed by room 251. The carpet is very dirty and the chairs were missing on the porch. We did get them after we asked very quickly. I just stayed before and the room and carpet was much cleaner. read more

Room 213. All pretty good for a budget priced motel. Two nights over Thanksgiving. Room was plain, but the view is very nice. Huge TV, but it was having connection problems--which was too bad because we really enjoy TV when we rent a hotel room. I'm sure it's fixable, because I could wiggle the input cable and the display goes wacky or says "no connection." Nicely quiet room, until the neighbor turned on their heater and there was a deep mechanical sound. We rented this via hotels.com, which show two different prices ($10 difference) for their "Deluxe Room, 1 King Bed, River View." This time we chose the cheaper price. But we're coming back for two nights for the xmas holiday, and we chose the higher price, hoping it would be a better room. But we asked two desk agents what the room difference would be between the two prices. They hadn't a clue, and seemed perplexed. I know the owner/manager responds here, so maybe he can tell us. We're booked into room 203 next time for xmas, hope that's a bit better. We are very interested in room 233, because it would afford the best river mouth views and is an end unit; but couldn't find out if it was a King. All in all, the rooms were better than reflected in the bargain price. Recommended (assuming our TV problem was an aberration). read more

For being reserved at a low budget price i wasn't sure how it would be. Surprisingly very nice...room 228 was clean, great views, and close walking path on a nearby jetty alongside the river. Basic accommodations. Also nice small deck. No breakfast offered at this time but snacks and drinks in lobby and coffee. Across the street is a restaurant...The North Landing. During my stay 5/10-5/11 when I got in bed for the evening and grabbed the sheets I felt something wet, I knew I did not have anything in the bed before that would have caused it to be wet. I had something on my hands as well. I looked around on the sheets and found some substance that was slimy. Very truthfully it looked like mucus or discharge. I immediately get up and wash my hands. The phone was not working in my room too so I had to walk to the office and explain to the gentleman what happened, he apologized then went to get new sheets, comes back and hands them to me. I do not know if there was any housekeeping on site at that time, it was possibly between 5pm-6pm, but I had to change the bedding myself. I felt so absolutely gross all night. I asked for some kind of compensation at check out but was told no manager was on site and would be gone til mid week. I have emailed them and no response. It is now 5/19. read more

I have stayed in a lot of hotels up and down the Oregon coast everywhere from Astoria to the California border, and I have never been in a place as bad as this. The attempt to remodel the room on the third floor and it turned out worse than if they would've just left it alone. Parts of it were completed. The other parts were not patched or painted over and nasty carpet. The front lobby where I checked in, smelled like it had been underwater for years. They were tearing apart the dock in the parking lot in front of the hotel, and the first floor of the hotel look like an abandoned house. If I ever had a picture in my head of what the Bates motel would look like I think I found it. My bedsheets had hair in it, the pillows were stained and the only reason I took a shower is because I felt more gross sleeping in the bed than I did when I got there. The holes in the walls were attempted to be patched. Looked like a third grader had thrown mud at the wall. i'm positive the room was not cleaned after the last people left because the carpet was dirty, the shower was dirty, the bed was slept in, and there was three sets of access keys laying on the dresser. read more

Beautiful view, nice rooms. I do wish they had a restaurant but they do have snacks available for purchase. Walls are very thin I could hear every conversation in the rooms beside me. Lack of privacy on the patio, normally there is a full wall between the patios but there is a cut out on all of them. read more

We enjoyed a one-night stay at Jot's Resort during our travels of Oregon and Northern California. The location is ideal with great views overlooking the Rogue River out to sea - it was wonderful to watch the seals swimming around from our balcony. The room was decent and clean with everything we needed. There is plenty of parking available however, no elevators. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The Landing North restaurant is a short walk across the road and a good place to stop by for dinner. read more

Rustic get-a-way on the 101 We stopped in for a night on our road trip down the 101. Talk about a by gone era. This quant little hotel will take you back to 1978 all over again. For the price one really can not complain. It is really a cost conscious lodging option. Conveniently located on the 101 at the Rogue River. If you are into fishing and crabbing you'll love it. The views from the south facing rooms are spectacular! As I lay in bed this evening at 11:20pm my Neighbors just saved me $19.95 from having to rent an adult entertainment movie, granted it was only the audio minus the visual, but at my age, my mind can wonder. (Just kidding, I have not even turned on my TV yet as my other Neighbors is loud enough that I can just listen to what they are watching. So I'm not sure if they even offer adult entertainment. I was thinking I could repay the favor to my neighbors and I'll see what's on the tv around 5 am tomorrow. I'll update accordingly) And now the savings are piling up as "the after cigarette" smoke is now gracing my room. I didn't even need to get up to lite one up.. an after cigarette, how thoughtful. The room is fitting for the most discerning Smoky and The Bandit fan. The room has everything to make your stay comfortable. With the exception of AC. So we had our window open to allow the cool evening air in. Which was rather nice and some what made up for the lack of ac. Along with knowing when any of our Neighbors decide to lite up a cigarette. I had missed stopping by one of the 1,000 pot shops along the 101 in Oregon. Not to worry, I think someone is enjoying some pretty good chronic. Not that I would know anything about that... but the 2nd hand high is pretty great or maybe it is just some bad clams I ate. Now in all fairness I'm a bit of a bore and have never indulged in the giggle weed, so I'm not a 100% sure what I was smelling, let's just say it didn't smell like a cigarette. I guess someone just complained to the front desk about my neighbors. Their phone just rang... sounds like the front desk just let them know they are being too loud. They sound pretty shocked.. as they only have their TV on and are having a quiet little conversation amongst themselves. I can vouch for them on that. (Next day update - after the front desk reacted right away and called the noisy room, it was pretty quiet the rest of the night.) I will say they are being a little more quiet. As now I can't quite make out their conversation. As before I felt like I was sitting in the room with them. I find it a little disappointing as now I don't know what happens next! If you are looking for a great little place along the 101 (quick side note as we drove down the 101, I must say, every hotel we saw, which all looked pretty comparable, everyone said "No Vacancy" and judging from curb appeal, they all look pretty comparable. I'm sure it's cost saving measures by the builder... smart!) Now on to some facts. The floor seemed to have a layer of sand or grit that lightly covered it. And I really have to question if I had clean sheets last night... But really nothing I can do about that at this point. It was an ok stay for the price. (I understand it's covid and labor shortage... then leave a mop in my room so I can give it a once over) May I suggest you bring a fan (granted you are here in the warmer months) and some ear plugs. Each room does have floor board heaters and the thermostat does turn down to 35 f.so this place is probably legit in the winter months, just check the fishing and crabbing seasons. Or swing by and pick up some chronic, booze or cigarettes on your way in and go make some new friends. As for me, I would probably stay here again as I like a good deal.. and let's be honest... it's all the same when the lights are off. But I'll have my fan and ear plugs in tow next time! Mostly a clean and comfortable room. And they allow small pets. Which is pretty hard to find. On to my next adventure! read more

This place has me utterly perplexed. It is easily amongst the worst hotel experiences I have ever had, and by now I have yelped quite a few of them. We chose this place because after a year of COVID we finally have our jabs and frankly we just wanted to get away for a couple of days. This time we decided to go somewhere new... in this case it was a mistake. Look, in these times the hospitality industry is in real trouble. I really wanted to say nice things, but honestly there is not much nice I can say. Let's start with the Pro. Yes, THE pro. =============== -It sits in a nice location, literally right on the Rogue River. Now for the Cons. This will take a while. I was going to take pictures, but honestly I was so annoyed I just had to get out. =============== -They only had one key for the room -As soon as we got to our room we noted that the "front" door was sliding glass. So was the back door. I will return to this. -The place was filthy. The tiny bathroom window above the tub had mold growing on it. -The doorknob and hinges in the bathroom were old and rusted. -While my partner sat on the back walkway (yes, our second floor room had a walkway on both sides), I laid on the rock hard bed for a few minutes. I was still trying to stay positive. -I could hear everything the couple in the next room was doing. Mind you I was laying on a bed positioned on the opposite wall from their room. No, they were not being loud. They were just talking. I am not exaggerating when I say I heard them open a can. Like a soft drink. I cannot imagine being in the room below us, because every step we made creaked and groaned. -There is no privacy at all. - I went to the lobby to request a different room. The young woman working told me she could ask the people next door to be quiet, but I assured it was not them. She insisted she could not give me another room, but said she had four left. Okay, I walked away still trying to be positive. Full disclosure, I did start looking at other nearby hotels as soon as I got back to the room. As you will see, I should have gotten one right then. -Did I mention, there was another man in the lobby whom had just checked in and was also asking for a different room? - We left for a couple of hours to walk on the shore and get dinner across the street (Which was Awesome. See my next review.), and it took me three minutes to successfully lock the sliding glass door. Okay, staying positive. -When we returned I went to lock the front sliding glass door, and realized there was no internal locking mechanism. I had seen the board on the floor next to door and thought nothing of it. Heck I have one for my sliding door at home. However, this is not adequate locking for a hotel room door. Period. End of story. At this point, my partner said we are leaving. We immediately got a room at the chain hotel across the river. -I went to the lobby to tell them we could not stay in the room. The same young woman from before acted shocked about the door and told me she would authorize a refund. She lied. I do not say that lightly. Seriously, read my other reviews. I always try to say kind things about employees. She did tell me she had been yelled at a lot that day, so maybe she thought she would get the same from me, but I spent years in the service industry and was not going to do that to some kid making too little money. If I had read other reviews I would've known the management does not respond well to criticism anyway. -When we called Hotels.com, they called and the hotel manager said no refund. I guess the $167 was more important than making someone happy and avoid bad reviews in a tough economic times. In summation, believe me or don't. That is up to you, but I recommend you read other reviews before you book this place. I will be reviewing them on every platform I can find. We wound staying at Motel 6. It was better in ever regard other than the view. Honestly, Jot's cannot be fixed short of razing it to the ground and starting from scratch. read more

Needs to update their website, they have no restaurant, under construction and what was done was not done well. We picked this place because of them amenities. And the gym was closed. This is a hard review to do. The "resort" is old and outdated, but the room was clean and had a nice view of the Rogue River from every room. I'll try to give a pros and cons review: PROS: Staff seems helpful and friendly Room is clean They made up the bed and replaced all the used towels everyday Setup well for fishermen with a dock on the river, boat launch, and cleaning station. They can also recommend fishing guides and the guides can pick you up right at the dock. There's a small pool, hot tub, and sauna. CONS Calling it a "Resort" is really pushing it The deck outside your room is a "shared deck" meaning that there's no divider between the room decks, so people can walk right by your glass door at any time. This takes away a lot of privacy- hard to hang out on the bed unless you close the curtains. Not enough outlets- my phone is about to die as I write this, but no nearby outlet to plug into. Could be fixed with a few power strips! Hope they're reading this! Breakfast is really not a breakfast. It's a few packaged pastry items and a few choices of cereal. The orange juice they offered was 2 weeks out of date. Just not acceptable. Overall the property was just a bit run down. They are updating it, so hopefully things will improve in the future. We paid about $100 for our nights stay and I think that was reasonable for this property. I think it is especially suitable if you have fishing on your agenda. I would stay here again. read more

View is really nice; the rooms are fine. But if you want a reasonably quiet place to spend the night, Jot's isn't for you. The walls are paper thin. I could hear a guy snoring next door. I requested a second floor room because I don't want to hear thudding overhead. I could hear the people BELOW me talking. The doors are designed that it's hard to not slam them. And believe me, lots of slamming. If you're good with hearing your neighbor's conversations and slamming doors, Jot's is the place for you.
