    Disgusting bathrooms
    Meg P.

My partner and I drove here from Portland for the jacuzzi suites. Unfortunately, their website is out of date and does not list their pet policies, which includes banning pets from jacuzzi suites. After explaining how long we drove and that it was my birthday, we were still given less than satisfactory customer service and a small room that looked nothing like what was advertised online, with none of the amenities listed. I also found a bug in the bathroom. I give this place 1 star only because 0 stars is not an option, and I recommend you consider elsewhere.

It's all about the heart shaped jacuzzi!

Fabulous room for the price! We watched the ocean from our room. The service was friendly and fun. Highly recommend!

Good location, near restaurants and stores. ONLY if you don't mind the constant noise from the freeway traffic.

There was a pube in the bathtub, mystery colors that were sprayed on the wall in what looked like a rainbow sneeze?, gunk on the chair, floors were dirty. Second room they moved me into also was gross. Dirty floors, the sheets were very obviously dirty on both beds. One had women's hairs in the sheets, the other bed had what appeared to be brown stains of unknown variety. For some reason sand sprays out of the bathroom faucets when turned on. Ants all over. The bathtub had them, and the bed with the ladies hair I had to sleep in due to exhaustion and not having enough energy to move to yet another dirty room or relocate for the night. The alarm clock is caked in what appears to be tears of gunk. The shower has black mold clearly visible behind the soap rack on the wall. Just read a review from 11 days ago that claims bed bugs and fleas were found and am absolutely freaked out, but it's 11pm and I've been driving all day, so preying to god I survive this craphole for one disgusting night. Keeping everything off the ground and going to garbage bag anything I've worn in here. The staff were pretty nice about moving me from the smelly room and into the dirty sheet room, for whatever that's worth. For $300 a night, you'd think they could bother to hire a housekeeper (I assume they don't have any from what I've seen). If on the off chance you consider staying here, whatever you do, id reconsider. It's filthy, the whole place is falling apart. The luggage rack is dirty and covered in rust, very tetanus shot-worthy if you happen to touch the rusted 3/4 of the cart. Floors are the grossest, oldest, outdoor looking carpet I've ever seen in a hotel. Whoever owns this dump should be ashamed of themselves for letting people stay in these disgusting conditions. If my car wasn't so full, I'd leave immediately and go sleep in that. Oh also, the new room has a mystery noise that hums loudly on and off all night.

Because I want it to be available for just me. But I'm not a selfish person (for the most part). And I must share this life haven with those who seek a place, view and amenities that make the world as you know it - stop. We stayed in the captains quarters. And I can't imagine ever going "back". We had "happened" upon this while making a long weekend following a conference in Ashland. Hoping this glowing and deserving view earns us some consideration when the place is booked solid In the future and we make a habit of coming back again. You're welcome:)

We also enjoyed the comfy adjustable bed with massage function, faux fireplace heater, refrigerator, and smart TV for when we wanted to stay in. John and Nancy were more than happy advise us on restaurants and local attractions though I had done exhaustive research on them already so we were good to go. We couldn't have asked for better hosts! Due to Covid we couldn't gather for breakfast but they were happy to leave fresh coffee, scones (sooooooo good!), and prepared eggs from their chickens. Seriously those scones were to die for! We had a wonderful time getting away to Mermaid's Muse and we can't wait to visit again!

Each day while we were away the room was freshened up. Coffee, instant ceral were provided in the room as well as cream for the coffee. Dishes and glassware were available to use. The room was well supplied with the things we needed. The steps and railings could use a bit of updating for safety and the stairs leading towards the beach area were in much need of repair, to the point that it was not a good idea to venture too far down that path as the lower steps dropped down further than the rest. The handrail at the very bottom was frail and really should not be allowed public access without being made much sturdier. When parking, it required you to back all the way out to the roadway. No viable place to turn around once you drove all the way in. Would we stay here again? Yes we would. I felt it was a good value for the price paid. You could literally hear and see the ocean right from the front room. It is a place that provides a lot of peace and quiet. Probably not the best for a young and noisy partying crowd.
