Was a decent hotel smelt of cigarettes and dirty feet when we walked in. Pool is not heated the jacuzzi is permanently closed. They have a 10pm quiet rule which was perfect except it wasn't because they had a "foreign exchange student" in the room above us stomping back and forth ALL NIGHT from 8pm- 3:30Am when we finally couldn't handle the noise anymore I called front desk to complain they went and knocked on the door there was no answer and he just continued to make noise even after that. Went to complain in person to the lady at the front desk and she was VERY rude and inconsiderate. Seems likes there's regular people living here. Would not recommend very disappointed that my grandpa and I were woken up all hours of the night because of this person! read more

We had a wonderful stay. Everyone was very nice. We stayed On a Tuesday night and checked in kind of late but they called us about 20 minutes after check in to get an estimated arrival time for us and made sure we knew where we were going. We got a room with 2 queens and it was LARGE! All the amenities were there - coffee pot, coffee, soaps/shampoos, ironing board and hair dryer. The room was very clean, NO odors, tv worked great with great cable signal, and beds were comfortable. I would stay here again and I recommend it to others. When we were there pool was down for maintenance and hot tub was closed indefinitely. Pool house was nice...it will be fun to use when it's operational again. read more

Great spot if you're looking for a place to spend a night. Definitely an older property that was "remodeled" with some new paint and other things. Don't expect luxury but do expect clean sheets, hot water, and a good place to rest. Great for an impromptu trip to the coast. read more

Stayed here from August 3rd until the 27th in 2021. Dan was the front desk manager and was one hell of an employee. I have disabilities that prohibit me from maneuvering stairs without a lot of pain, and he not only juggled things around to accommodate my disabilities by getting me a ground floor room, he also not once, but twice managed to move things around to keep me in the same room when my company extended my stay on 2 occasions. Check in was incredibly easy and quick, as was check out. Concerning the room; No microwave but the electric is strong enough to handle it if you bring your own with you (used a 900W). Room was very clean although in obvious need of maintenance to trim, plaster, and such. Large two person single sink vanity adjacent to bathroom. Hairdryer, iron, and ironing board in-room. Mini fridge with freezer alcove. 4K TV (don't know the size but large). Parking There is a plethora of parking available including an overflow lot in back. Room service They don't seem to technically have room service but they will absolutely bring you sundries and things such as coffee. Housekeeping They have a good size HK crew who I've seen firsthand do a good job. For dailies they clean thoroughly after each patron. For extended stays they have currently suspended HK unless specifically requested. Pool There is a indoor pool as well as a outdoor hot tub. Nearby interests There is a Shell next door that has a car wash, the car wash is quite loud. In walking distance is a laundromat, Subway, Mexican and Chinese food, Grocery Outlet, Fred Meyer, as well as a KFC, Burger King and McDonald's, to name a few. Things to note I enjoyed my stay here and had little to no difficulties during my stay. There is remodeling going on so it's facade currently is a bit of a mess. If you stay in the 300's rooms you may hear them going in and out from the garages (storage) which are below the rooms there. Overall I enjoyed this stay much more than my stays at the Comfort Inn in Bend, or the Red Lion in Portland. read more

Paid $130 and had sleep in my cloths, sanitize the handles, take shower in my sandals and thank God I happen to have my own towel with me. Plus no soap seriously no soap for shower. Worst room ever- smelled like foot cheese as soon as you walked in. No air and the windows are locked. The carpet and sofa were filthy and both were covered in dog hair. Just a gross room. I wouldn't have laid on that bed if they paid me. The toilet couldn't flush a single tissue, There was construction going on next door until 7pm despite my calling since 5pm. They were spraying the popcorn ceiling in and the doors were open and the room was vibrating... it was horrible. Then due to the construction- out went the power in my room. BROOKINGS INN....We were very disappointed in our room at the Brookings Inn in Brookings Oregon . I would rate it 1 star. When we walked in it did not smell clean. We went into the bathroom and the caulking in the tiles around the tub was completely mildewed. We would not step foot in it. So we are thinking if this is dirty what else is. We ask for our money back and they did but kept 20.00 to clean after us. We went across the street and paid five dollars less and it is clean neat and we were very satisfied. No AC! Had to go buy a fan. Bring your own pillow! Bathrooms aren't clean. Half a roll of toilet paper for four people, three females. Two was cloths, two hand towels etc. curtains falling down. No microwave in room. Ice machine broken had to walk around building to get ice. Listened to couple argue all night. I have Multiple Sclerosis it isn't handicap friendly. My husband and I rented a room here, then went to get something to eat. When we got back and were ready to turn in, my husband pulled back the cover and saw little black specs (similar to flea poop) on the bottom sheet. Upon closer look, we both found hair from someone who had used this room prior to us (in both beds). My husband went back to the front desk and the receptionist said she would be right with him (she was on the phone with another angry customer). When she got off the phone, he said he wanted another room and explained the situation. She agreed to give us another room and would call us when it was ready. She never called back. My husband went back to the office and asked for his money back. There were other people in the office demanding the same thing. I can understand why. When she offered half of our payment back, my husband asked to speak to the manager (who was not available). The next day, my husband called the hotel's number and got the manager on the phone. The manager continually called my husband a liar and couldn't refund any more of our deposit. He promised to call back to discuss it further as he had another call, but guess what? He never did. I felt sorry for the front desk clerk, but there's only so much a customer should have to take. I work in the food service industry and if a customer isn't happy, we bend over backward to make it right. I guess we have one thing to be thankful for .... we didn't sleep there and get bedbugs as a previous poster did. Consider this a definite 0-star hotel!!! read more

Wow! Based on the reviews you would think this place sucks, its literally quite the opposite of what was posted and shown. The staff is outstanding and accommodating. The rooms are huge, with brand new furniture, hardwood floors, freshly painted and 40+ inch tv's. Everything is close to the hotel and all within walking distance. We had dinner at Vista Pub which by far as the best burgers ever. If your looking for a great breakfast spot you have to try Mattie's Pancake House. If your looking for a great place to stay that won't break the bank you have to stay at Brookings Inn Resort! read more

DISGUSTING - STAY AWAY - RIP OFF This is an absolute dump! In addition, they are a big fraud. The pictures are fake - the hot tub was empty and a safety hazard. They charged us $300 for a jacuzzi room that didn't work!! And said they only way that they would refund us is if we left so they could rip off another customer. This was a great cheap place to stay. I was a little wary from all the terrible reviews but I found none of the complaints. The rooms were neat, clean and cheap. The only thing I can think of is previous reviewers thought they were staying at a Hilton. Cheap motels are never perfect and rarely have primo chairs, couches, beds or other amenities. Not good!! Used to be...but needs a LOT of maintenance work. The big thing was...we couldn't take a shower for our whole stay!! They said the water heater couldn't keep up with all the usage in the rooms!!! Really?? You had to practically plead with the maids to get clean towels...we figure, there wasn't enough to go around. Didn't even get a face cloth!! I kinda felt sorry for the desk clerk...she took the all the complaints that the owner should have! He " wasn't available"! One of the stairs to our room was only hanging on by a measly couple nails, so we had to either hop up to next stair, or jump down!! I have stayed at Brookings Inn at least 20 times over the last 25 years. This weekend, will be my last stay with them. About our room.... 1. No AC, room was super stuffy and muggy. Window did not open. 2. Our door did not lock... yep, zero security 3. Office doesn't open until 8am, not helpful when you door doesn't lock. 4. Housekeeping skipped our room. Usually, not a problem for me, but this weekend I was playing in a softball tournament and clean towels would have been nice. 5. Once door was fixed, had to get new keys. It took multiple tries for them to get me keys that worked. Very disappointing, didn't even make it right with us... $150 a night for that... no thanks! read more

This is an awful place. We requested to have an upstairs room. Instead, we were placed right underneath what sounded like a hasty couple! Yuck! My children were bewildered by the noise. My wife took our daughter to the pool where other astonishments took place. First, they were combusted with a strong urine odor. The floor was also soaked, flooded. This hotel is probably one of my favorites! I stayed there with my family during spring break and the staff was outstanding!! This young girl who worked front desk was very nice her service was phenomenal the next day I saw her running around helping clean rooms with a smile on her face on her way by she paused and asked me how my day was in the middle of her busy day! But not only her but all the staff were terrific!! The room was in good shape better then alot of the hotels I've stayed at in Brookings! This place doesn't deserve One Star! We had reservations and it wasn't worth the $$$ ...we tried to check in at 1:30 and was told to come back in 1hour.We came back almost 2 hrs later and was told the room wasn't ready and to come back 30 mins so they put us in a room on the second floor and when we walked up the stairs,the room hadn't been cleaned so we complained and she did a 5 min.cleaning job! When we walked into the room,the sink had old coffee in it and the nasty carpet hadn't been vacuumed...again we complain but I asked for a refund so we could go to another motel and the gal said No cuz the owners were not there! We had no choice along with the other customers waiting for a clean room but had to stay.We left for about 3 hrs so we didn't have to stay in that disgusting room.When it was time for a shower,the bath rug was still wet from the prior occupants use,the entire room was stinky and the bathroom smelt like old urine! Now for Breakfast....at 8am when it finally opened,it consisted of cold Gravy(from a dirty crock pot)and stale biscuits,waffles,cereal,coffee or juice,yogurt and an orange.This place is called a RESORT,are you kidding me! Very bad stay. Kid with coconut head hair cut was smoking a cigarette inside the room while cleaning it and playing loud rap music that was inappropriate for guests to walk by and hear. What a fabulous place to stay. We stayed in a disabled guest room and it had a wonderful view of the ocean and beach. This Best Western was 110% nicer than the one in Coos Bay. This Best Western was very nice inside with comfortable beds and nice features for a disabled person in the bathroom. read more
