Wow!!!! Had room waiting for us when we got here with personal name on the door. I can't even explain the beauty here.. Love the wood in the cabins! And so clean and perfect! Then then then the hot tub on the deck. ... overlooking the Rogue River.. almost full moon coming up, reflecting in the river. The Best Birthday location on the coast! And i Live on the coast. Would love to come back every year!

View from the room's back porch of the river

I love this place! Each room is basically your own fancy-pants cabin. You have a kitchen and a big bedroom plus a big living room with a fireplace. Which, when it's cold, they will turn on for you before you arrive so your room is super toasty when you get there. There are great books and a huge TV so they pretty much nail it for everyone. Then you walk onto your back porch- some of which have jacuzzis ( super clean). If you get there at night like I did, you will wake up the next morning, go out on the porch and be blown away by the view of the river. It's quiet and you are less than 10 minutes from downtown Gold Beach and Otter Point. Then there are Jeff and Sharlette who manage the place. There aren't two better people! Sharlette makes her own granola and accomodates your need for coffee at all hours. The breakfast layout is pretty much anything you want- you get the run of a small, well stocked kitchen in the main lobby. It should also be noted that Sharlette does not make you feel like a moron for being unable to understand how to turn the jacuzzi bubbles off. Jeff is one of those people you love to talk to and he can arrange anything ( read: need a kayak because you are now obsessed with the river? Want someone to kayak with you because you know nothing about the river?) So while I'm hesitant to spread the word as I realize it may mean next time I'm in Gold Beach there may not be any availability for me to stay- this place deserves it!

I specifically booked this place for a jetted tub so was disappointed and on top of that the room was dirty. The hotel was able to move me to a room on the third floor. Very nice view and was a little cleaner than the first room. The room I first booked was a king bed with a "soaker" broke down jetted tub, room 501 which is also right next to the laundry room and on the bottom floor. Pictures show the gross marks and hair all over the lounger. My second room was 329 on the third floor with a king bed. The view was amazing and the location is steps away from the beach. The management needs to give more time to the cleaners and once a month they should lint roll the furniture and wipe off the marks. Also dusting is very much needed in the rooms. Overall the place is run down and not clean. Its pricey. I paid $178 for one night and thats with a BestWestern Diamond member discount. Lots of damage in rooms and not clean so be-aware if you have small kids. Also note that there are only wall heaters, they are very hot to the touch and do take time to heat the room. I did not see or use the ac since I visited in April. The only saving grace is the location and views on the third floor.

As in Astoria we had One heck of a bag lunch from our other non chain motel! Anyways this was the only place available and we took. It was really clean but very outdated but we wanted clean and quit and that's what we got. The pop machine took our money so a cleaning lady got us our pop and the heater in the bathroom will cook you out. The lady told us about a steak house down the street so we went for Dinner that night and was pleased as it was a Very nice Steak and seafood Restaurant. We were there 1 1/2 and loved our time there as well. So staying here for us was great. The only reason I gave 4 stars is this place was a motel and $114 is just a little steep. Here in Minnesota it would be a $59 room. I would like to add that I can see that the owner lady could be rude as she asked us atleast 5 times if we smoke and could tell that she would like to charge overage as they live there and you can see them peaking out windows.

Kim and Wess, the wonderful couple who run Endincott Gardens, pour so much care and love into everything they do. As a local resident, I'm especially grateful that Kim and Wess open their space to the community for events and spa services, even for those of us who aren't staying at the B&B. That generosity makes them true treasures to Gold Beach. We are already looking forward to our next visit--and are eagerly hoping their future dinner offerings become a reality! It was walking distance to the marina and Jerry's Rogue Jet Boats (which is why we were there) and several restaurants. We were on a motorcycle and it's much simpler to walk places than get all suited up. The Good: clean, fresh paint, no mold; friendly staff; Wi-Fi worked; quiet, no noisy neighbors; off the highway. The could be easily fixed and get that last star: need more pillows on the bed for sitting propped up and watching TV(!); needs towel hook next to shower; needs a well-placed power strip on the nightstand to satisfy the plethora of device-charging needs that most people now require. The so-so but didn't bother me, but might bother you: no hair dryer in room, but supposedly available in the office; weird water hammer in the morning, bang, followed by three, repeat. Not loud enough to wake me up. The FYI that they can't do anything about and for which I'm not dinging a star: the driveway is "challenging". It's steep with a hairpin turn at the top, and you're likely to drag body parts if you take the inside line. I started up it in "my lane" and (remember, on a fully loaded MC with passenger) couldn't make the turn at the top, and made into a three-point turn. If you're on a bike or towing a trailer you'll want to start up the driveway outside of your lane, all the way left.

Where to begin…read more.. Booked our 22 anniversary there scheduled to arrive 8/28/25. The room according to the website is available at 4pm, which I have never heard of this late a check in time, but my wife had stayed there in the past and wanted to go. So, I call about 2:30 to see if we can check in, "nope, it is still being cleaned." OK, we stall until 4. 1. 4:17 after waiting 17 minutes on other guest and try and check in and the room is still not ready. 2. 4:35 "oops, the room is not unclean it is double booked. "no problem we will find you something even if we have to upgrade." 3. 4:50 here is an upgraded room w/ a fireplace, it is supposed to not be pet friendly but we will make it work. We set off to the new room, unpack out things, climb to the second floor only to discover the room has one bed instead of 2. 4. 4:55, go back, wait in line and inform them it won't work while my family is waiting in the parking lot w/ all our stuff. While I was standing in line 4 other people in front of me are there for various complaints, key card won't work, double booked and someone is in the room, 1 bed instead of 2, gal allergic to dogs in put in a pet room, etc. 5. 5:30 they have scrambled and talked to various employees trying to find a room, the check in employee is not from there and not familiar w/ the rooms. 6. 5:40 the new employee discovers the room building we were originally booked to move in has several rooms open which she could have given me at 4:17, but she didn't know the layout. 7. While I am waiting, she offers me the free breakfast, "Great what is it?" " I don't know she states. "Is the spa up and running I ask." "No that is not working." Later the staff told me the spa hasn't been opened in months and corporate won't change the website. 8. 5:50 we move all our stuff from the one originally given to our new room. We finally get in the room at 6pm. 9. The room... Have to give kudos where they are due in order for it to be a good review. Spacious, nice new mirrors, vanity/sink area is large and the bathroom is nice but it ends there. 10. 6pm we finally settle in the room. We find the pillows are only 1.5-2" thick, wrap 4 layers of cardboard in a towel and you get the idea. so my wife sends my son off to the original room to find the personal pillow they had left behind. He found the gal who was allergic to pets in the same room we had already brought our pet into. 11. Towels are so thin and dingy they are identical to what I use in my shop as rags. Coffee pot doesn't work. Toilets flush, but you need to hold down on them for 30 seconds and you have a 50/50 chance of it flushing completely. Minimal but a bed reading light is out. So much for first impressions. 12. The heat was stuck at 78d all night and we couldn't lower it, sweated all night until maint, found it didn't work in the am. Only thing to do was to turn it off. 13. The "Ocean View" is looking over a parking lot, then a large area of a broken down, beat up building that looks like it should be destroyed which is the spa area. The spa area about 30' long and 12' high making the primary view below the ocean. You can see the ocean over the top of it, not bad view but completely disrupted by the decrepit spa building. Maintenance told us of the 3 spas there, all had broken at various times in the past and none were working but the corporation owning the hotel wouldn't spend any money on it. 14. They have a balconies including chairs and a table but are so narrow if you sit in the chair anyone passing has to turn sideways or the person in the chair has to turn their legs like in a movie theater. Not as bad, but close. If someone is carrying luggage, forget it, the sitting person has to stand up. 15. 8 am. The maintenance crew start work on the floor above us, so much for sleeping in 16. Midday, we have to move our cars in the parking lot as they are spray painting. 17. Every guest I talked to there had a complaint of one sort or another. The guest next to us had urine stained carpet that smelled of urine. 18. I complained to the manager the next day and she was very nice, patient etc. citing new employees as the challenge. She even comped me a room for one night. To be honest she was quite pleasant and apologetic about the whole affair. All the staff were really nice, but not one staff member had anything positive to say about the management of the hotel. The hotel has great potential. A great location, great access to the beach, the view of the spa building could be pleasant if it was kept up but not as is. The breakfasts were biscuits and gravy, next day eggs and potatoes. Pretty good for a smaller hotel, unfortunatley they ran out by 9am. Can't change the balconies but buy some pillows and towels, clean the rooms, fix the spa, prepare enough breakfast for what you have booked and hire someone who knows how to book and is familiar w/ the hotel. Paint on the outside wouldn't hurt either. It is not nice or pretty.
