Where do I begin? My son and I have been meaning to go to Josh's Bar and Grill for quite some time. Last night, we finally ordered carryout. I ordered the 10 ounce ground steak with gravy, onions, and mushrooms, baked potato, and broccoli. Everything was cooked to perfection! The ground steak was tender, the gravy delicious, and the onions and mushrooms were yummy. The huge baked potato was perfectly cooked and they provided tons of butter and sour cream. The fresh broccoli was in a large container, tender, and not overcooked. There was even a nice soft roll. My son ordered the Delmonico steak, prepared, fairly rare, a big fat, baked potato, fresh broccoli, and roll. He thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Everything we received was packaged beautifully and nice and hot. The prices were very reasonable and we couldn't have been more pleased. Thank you, Josh's for a great dinner. Age demographic can range from 30s-late 60s.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks may be served in the red solo cup bringing back memories to your college days;) The waitress/bartender is nice, but remember to be patient as it could only be her, and one other person manning the bar and tables. The wings were freshly fried, and tossed with buffalo sauce. My preference would be to fry it a bit longer for crispier wings as the sauce can make the skin soggy. In addition to the wings, I ordered the steamed shrimp. The sides were standard. It was crinkle fries and coleslaw. The hubs had the ground steak with sides of mash and corn. Cool little dive bar- I went on Saturday of Halloween 2023 and they had karaoke, a full bar, a full kitchen (until about midnight, I think), and Josh himself was DJ-ing very well! My nachos were very good and I told the bartender I didn't drink alcohol right now, so she made me a soda water with lemon & lime (I was just missing the tequila that I normally would also add). I appreciated her willingness to serve my special drink and the lack of judgement (I've heard of bartenders being judgemental or harsh towards sober people). When I go again, I will be ordering the nachos- they were that good! They also have a cool outdoor space with tables & a huge yard. Honestly, it would make a good venue for an outdoor wedding or big birthday party! Don't look past it, if they're open to host something like that. read more

All I can say is this is some of the best bar food I have ever had. Every time I eat here I'm never disappointed. I've had the Nachos, the quesadilla, the wings, and most recently a bacon hamburger. It was huge and delicious. My picky two year old helped me eat the meal and loved it also. Great go to for a drink and music also. There are always great specials. There is no other local place like Josh's! It can be busy on Friday and Saturdays because the locals know where to go. The food is always good, and you can't beat the prices or the portions. Friday almost always has a live band. It's definitely worth your time! read more

Stopped in for a burger based on the Yelp reviews, since we were in the area. It's a decent sized place with pool tables, electronic darts and lots of TVs. I imagine it can get pretty busy on a weekend night and it is definitely a locals dive bar kind of place. We were there for a late lunch, so it was pretty empty. The bar tender was working by herself and she cooked our food. She was super friendly. The burgers are HUGE, so it's a good value for the money - they are served with a big pile of crinkle cut fries. I wasn't a fan of the seasoning on the burger (I'm a purist), and they were a little over for my taste. This looks like a good neighborhood hang out if you're looking to get your pitcher of beer on and eat standard bar fare. read more

We weren't asked how we wanted burger temp (medium/rare/etc) and didn't get tomato on any of our sandwiches/burgers. The chicken sandwich is tenders which was unexpected (though it'd be a breast). We were seated without any menus and had to ask for them. Not my type of place so I wouldn't go back but it is 4 min from my house so I figured we should try it. Oftentimes I'll order a cheeseburger and fries to go after work on Fridays. After reading the reviews and seeing the cheap prices I decided to order from here. I requested no grilled and buttered bun as well as lettuce, tomato, and onion only, (I HATE mayo on sandwiches!). When I arrived and after parking my car I approached the front door and almost turned around. Can you say eyesore? At first I was hesitant of even entering this Bar & Grill because the door was sketchy (no windows completely wood) and it seemed like nobody was walking in and out. But I gathered myself together and entered into one of the most laid back and chill bar I've ever been. From observation alone I could tell that this place is family owned (which is a plus in my books) and they attract all different type of demographic (which is another plus). I loved the vibes in this place. My husband and I ordered a long island iced tea, one of the best I've had in my life. The bar tender really knows how to mix up drinks. I got a pastrami sandwich with mozzarella sticks, my husband got a burger and we ordered steamed shrimp with butter because on Wednesdays they have shrimp for $0.50. Everything tasted great. They were very generous with the pastrami! My bread was perfectly toasted. The parking lot is a good size but I'm sure it could get crowded during weekends, or when a game comes on. They have pool tables and some arcade games as well. I also like that fact that they are opened 365 days a year. I will definitely come back to this bar just because the experience was awesome and the food was served up to match how awesome the experience was. read more

We heard this place has amazing steaks so my husband and I came here to eat. There was no parking available all around the building so we had to park in the parking lot next door, no biggie. We walked in and the bar was pretty busy and everyone up front turned and looked at us. Immediately we felt uncomfortable not knowing if we seated ourselves or had to be seated we waited for someone to knowledge us. Not one person spoke to us and we could clearly see people looking at us from behind the bar. People came in behind us and were greeted as we stood there. It's been on Pembroke for many years and is not only a neighborhood favorite but is deserving of it's reputation for ICE cold beer, wonderful drinks and amazing fresh pub food. The burgers are always heaped with fresh ingredients and the fries are hot and crispy. One of the incredible finds on their menu is their steak. I decided to go to Josh's after finding it on Yelp. Let me start by saying my food was REALLY good. I had the grilled chicken dinner and though it didn't have the mushrooms, onions, and peppers listed on the menu, it did have the cheese and bacon, which was everything to me! Also the sides were good. I had broccoli and green beans. The broccoli was fresh and steamed but the green beans appeared to be from a can. It was all good though. The reason I gave 3 stars is because I would probably never eat inside Josh's. I got my order to go. There was a pile or cardboard boxes and what appeared to be trash bags visible in the corner. And there was a very unappetizing smell. Like mildew or something. Overall it did not look very clean and it made me wonder how clean the kitchen was. Oh the staff was really friendly too! read more

Josh's is a great dive bar with GREAT food! Best drink prices in town, i always get a margarita when i go and they make it nice and stiff, i love it. Karaoke is always fun there, they have great bands, quarter pool tables and electronic darts. Only reason i can't give 5 stars is it's just not a spotless 5 star bar. I don't even know where to start, the Steak dinner usually will cover the entire front of your plate, its so big and delicious.
