He initiated a fist bump with both me and my partner, then returned later and attempted to touch me again by going in for a high five. My partner declined, and Troy responded by saying, "Sorry, you're insecure." That comment was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. I immediately corrected him and said that my partner was not insecure--his behavior was inappropriate. Physical contact with guests should never be assumed, and insulting a customer after they set a boundary is unacceptable. Because of this interaction, we will not return during Troy's shift. It's unfortunate because Melanie provided such a wonderful start to our dining experience.

Nick Taylor was a comical game host who worked the crowd and kept the game moving along nicely. However, it did take a few minutes for one of the waitresses to get us seated. After that, it did take us a few to pick out our orders. We both selected the boneless wing platters with curly fries and ranch (I picked BBQ and she chose parmesean garlic). The wings were very good and size was just right. The fries were good too but did taste a little too salty. But the meal was satisfying for both of us. Overall, not a bad visit. But recently, news came down that Hooters may file for bankruptcy. Several locations are at risk for closing. Hampton, as I understand, is not on that list. Hopefully, the chain finds a way to survive during this trying time.
