Superb drainage is just one of the great features of the course ...with all the December and early January precipitation and foul weather our playing partners indicated that they seldom missed their regular appointed rounds. We were fortunate to be paired with two very splendid amateur women players - one from Stanford and another a consultant with Apple Management... So you never know who you're going to meet at Corica. My friend - a local denizen - was just beginning to explore the challenges of the game. ... it was a difficult course to learn and implement swing changes on. Though the driving range provides elite swing technology, it lacks key indicators such as spin and ball speed, that are helpful in teaching a new player, but it's still a feature that most driving ranges around the country lack. The par threes were particularly bland and I found the 17th almost unplayable. I also thought the weekend greens fee was exorbitant close to $151 +2 cart fees, plus a 75 nonrefundable non-applicable reservation fee, which is total nonsense. The pro shop is as unimaginable as any I've ever visited thank God for the restaurant and the wonderful people that run that place

From the moment you pull in, you can tell this isn't your average municipal course -- it feels modern, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly well-maintained. It's challenging enough to keep low-handicappers engaged but still welcoming for casual players. Pace of play has been consistently good, which I really appreciate. The practice facilities are top-notch. The driving range is spacious, the mats are in great shape, and the short-game area gives you everything you need to actually improve, not just warm up. It's the kind of setup you'd expect at a private club, not a public complex. Staff is always friendly, and the clubhouse has a relaxed, community vibe. The snack bar and patio area are perfect for a post-round drink or bite while looking out over the course. There are a standard 19 holes on this course and each one is a cool little tidbit about the Bay Area! It was cool seeing local landmarks and the different challenges for each hole. My boyfriend on the very last hole, got a hole-in-one which triggers an alarm and you get a free round a mini golf voucher that expires 3 months afterwards! They probably get people trying to take advantage of them bringing larger groups than expected or whatever. They could up their game with the pizza a bit, but haha, the kids seemed happy, and everything in the world doesn't need to be gourmet. Good beers on tap for the parents. The experience was nothing short of amazing. The technology was cutting-edge, and the staff was incredibly hospitable and professional. The course itself was in pretty good condition. They are renovating a bunch of their tee boxes, so the course is currently playing shorter than it normally would. It made the course a lot easier, as I was hitting driver and wedge into most of the par 4s. Ended up shooting (-1) from the white tees, which was a solid score. The course is pretty wide open, so if you aren't driving the ball straight it doesn't hurt you as much. It's great for all skill levels, and can be challenging at times but a great course to learn on if you are just starting. The greens were aerated earlier in the week so they weren't rolling true but we were able to make it work. The bunkers had a good amount of sand, and the fairways were well kept. Pace of play was on the slower side, so plan for 5+ hours to be on the safe side. I'd prefer a morning tee time as the wind picks up in the afternoon and makes the course a bit harder. My only gripe is that there was no mention of aeration of the greens on their website or when I booked my tee time. Honestly we probably wouldn't have come if we knew the greens were just aerated, especially since we had to drive across the bridge to get here. Overall, definitely a solid course that I would play again and again.

I said do you rent clubs for people who don't have their own. He yelled louder this time throwing up his hands in exasperation. I realized it wasn't a misunderstanding-for some reason, I just wasn't welcome. My friend and I left the shop and walked around for a bit before leaving just five minutes after we arrived. Family members from the East and West Coast also stayed, which made for a wonderful time. The building is nostalgic and reminds me of country clubs I stayed at in New York State. The beautiful wood, the grand staircase, and the royal-colored decor took you back to the gilded age. Outside my bedroom window stood two magnolia trees with gorgeous blossoms. The room size was generous, and every morning a continental breakfast consisting of juice and pastries were available only steps away from my door. We enjoyed lunch by the golf course and walked the beautiful grounds. The club rules are reasonable, in my opinion - no denim, shirts must have collars, etc. Perhaps the most difficult rule to follow and remember was the cell phone rule - they aren't allowed. Frankly, not being enslaved to my phone was quite lovely. After a few hours of not using it, I didn't miss it. Also, not being able to use my phone to take photos or chat is the reason I didn't take pictures inside of the facility. I respected the rules. I did take a few photos of the front entrance, though. One of my family members had a reception and birthday party in the ballroom while I was there, hence my reason for staying. It was fabulous! The food, the cocktails, wine, and service were spectacular. From the swing music the band played to the yesteryear atmosphere and attire, this was one of the most memorable weekends I've had in quite some time.
