I was invited out to this location. This is my opinion as a non golfer. There is a good amount of parking. This place looks like its been here for a while so no really as appealing to the eye. It seems like this is a nice place for regulars. The guy in the front was a little spicy and for someone who doesnt know him Id think he was rude but it seems like that was his personality. They provided everything you need. I think the cost was $15 for a bucket and club. They have two levels to hit from. The people who come here were very nice. They left early had extra balls and said we could hit them. There is also a bar here. Overall a nice experience and fun activity.

The range balls are a random stockpile of scuffed practice balls, the course is barely serviceable, the tee boxes are worn down old mats and I always bring cash just in case the old owner is manning the register so I don't get yelled at. There is no virginal white marble here and the cisterns are not filled with Chanel No. 5. This very well might be the worst course in the San Francisco Bay Area. But the beer is cold and cheap, the staff welcoming and everyone here is having a good time. For a few bucks you can play this casual pitch and putt which is a great track for beginners and experienced golfers alike. I can hardly think of a better day of golf than hitting the range, walking the course (don't bother booking online, just pay in the shop and walk on) and grabbing a few beers at the bar after. Temper expectations and understand you're not at Augusta or Pebble. This is a neighborhood golf course and driving range that happens to have a homey feeling bar. If you're a fan of a good dive and more importantly a genuineness that is increasingly hard to find in this day and age, you'll be a fan of Montclair Golf Enterprises. God bless this mess!

Driving range is just bare dirt. There are no proper yardage markers. The balls are old rocks.

After 9 years I returned and absolutely nothing has changed. And when I say nothing, I'm talking about the rugs, interior and even the golf balls. $10 for a small bucket, it's the most expensive in the East Bay and the worst quality. They obviously buy the balls from eBay or from someone who picks up balls at some local muni. This is a leased property from the city and the owner refuses to put one penny into fixing it up. Unfortunately he doesn't realize that if he did it would generate more money. The food is hit or miss depending on the cook. It seems like it's a swinging door for out of work chefs who occasionally might cook something interesting before they move on to a serious restaurant that pays better. The photo by the manager (Cliff) is not the real Cliff who is the owner's son. This is the only range in Montclair so they have you by the balls and they know it.

So spontaneously me and my husband decided to have a golf date. As a first timer I love that this 9 hole course was very beginner friendly! The service was great and workers are very kind here especially it being our very first time here they made sure we knew how to get started. The pricing is pretty decent considering how much it cost to go out and do things nowadays. *TIP bring cash so you don't get hit with card charges. Lastly I have to mention how good the bartender was! She made the best Moscow mule I've ever had! Thank you Montclair golf for the awesome experience. We'll definitely be coming back!

Fun yet challenging pitch and putt course. My fiancé and I came here to check out the double decker driving range and beginner 9 hole course. During the weekend the driving range really can fill up so be mindful of that. The spacing of the stalls also don't seem very far apart but most everyone around us was wearing masks. I enjoyed hitting off the top deck into the canyon. The matts were in good shape. They sell Tees in the shop if you want to hit off them at the range (there aren't out for everyone to use with COVID). After we hit a bucket of balls we decided to play 9. The course is deceptively hard. No hole is longer than 90 yards and all are par 3s. The holes are very narrow and packed very closely together, even with some crossing over the other ones. If it's busy balls can be flying everywhere. Also the rough is really rough so be prepared to loose balls. Overall we enjoyed practicing here, it was hard to take it too seriously.

The range balls are old and the cost is expensive. Bar is good, cats are nice. Can somebody explain the broken down carts that appear to be 40+ years old and hanging out in the parking lot? Crazy.

The food in this place was good but the service was so bad at some point I felt like it was a torture. The place was kind of empty not too many table were full but the waiter just would be gone for long and wouldn't come ask if we needed anything. The wait between meals like appetizer and main course was so long not because of kitchen but the server was just gone for long at a stretch. I had to ask him to come and same with after our meal was finished he never came to ask if we needed dessert, The waiter on other table saw us a few times and he finally came and gave us a menu. I really wanted to try a dessert but was scared this will again take us another hour to even get the server to come and get our order. On top of really slow service there was an older man who sat in the table next to us and kept talking to us looking at our food. He literally was asking me if you support trump do you like him. He kept telling us how he knew the owner and his wife and has come to this place for 100 times over years and everything is free for him here. This was all ok but I wasn't sure why he wasn't letting us eat our meal in peace. At some point he became a little racist as well, when we tried to take our food goto he told us i won't take this goto. I never take this goto. And then was like ohh you are from India and it felt so uncomfortable. He was like do you watch fox, I watch fox. Then was like I have cable, I don't try to save money. Do you have cable.. omg never ending interrogation and also kept looking at our food and table and what we were eating and kept commenting on that. I understand this restaurant might have some old and familiar guest or important people come to this place but they should understand other guest should still be able to enjoy there meal without being bothered by the people who are known. It was one of my worse restaurant experiences, the service and on top of this man who somehow is VIP guest at this place made it so hard for us to have our date night meal in peace. I literally tried to run away from this place. This was almost 2 hrs long ordeal. We came a little before 6 and left at 8 and I never eat for that long. I'll NEVER go to this place again even though I loved the food.

As soon as you walk in, you're hit with the smell of a campfire from the oven. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous with an Art Deco design. The ambiance is cozy but elevated. Benedict (buttermilk biscuit, dungeness crab cakes, marinated swiss chard & beet greens, herbed hollandaise, poached eggs & mixed greens): I'm not a huge benedict person because they can feel heavy, but this one was fantastic. I loved the textures and flavors of the crab cakes pairing with the greens and vegetables. It felt balanced and not too creamy or exhausting to eat. It definitely stands out from the run-of-the-mill brunch benedict. Vegetable Hash (roasted sweet potatoes, garnet yams, sunchokes, cauliflower, cremini mushrooms, celery root & onion, savoy spinach & poached eggs): This was also delicious and also set itself apart from the standard brunch hash. I loved the different vegetables in it besides being just potatoes and onions. The mushrooms and root vegetables worked really well together. Everything was well-seasoned. I'm glad we ended up choosing these dishes even though neither were my original top choices (I decided on the menu with my friend). It made me feel like you can choose anything and it'd be a banger. We were quite full from these dishes, and we forget we also ordered beignets to come out last. They were fluffy and mostly air (but not in a bad way). The service throughout the meal was good. We were checked on from time-to-time and our waters were refilled, although I wish the water glasses were a little bigger. One small thing to note was that we were given the check while we were still eating, even though the restaurant was still seating people despite it being close to closing time. Unsure if/why we were rushed like this. Overall, this was a memorable brunch spots I've been to in the Bay (dare I say one of the best?). We left smelling like a campfire. I would recommend it.

I reserved for three to sit in the main dining room. I was a little bummed we didn't get to sit in the lower dining room like I booked on our reservations. It was still cute upstairs and good company always makes brunch even better. The servers were quick and helpful. I wanted something light so I just ordered the chicken and waffle bites. My husband got French toast and a side of chicken and my friend got a main entrée of a sandwich with some fries and a little soup. All of the food that came out looked amazing even at other people's tables. For brunch, the price is a little pricey, but I would like to come back to try other entrées when I'm more hungry. We asked one of our servers if he had a light as I brought a little candle to celebrate my friend's birthday, and as he lit it, he also decided to join in with us as we sang happy birthday, which I thought was really sweet. He did not have to do. He even got other tables around us to sing happy birthday as well. It felt like a special moment for my friend, which was a nice surprise. We arrived shortly after 10am and our wait was just under 30 minutes. The restaurant is cozy (on the smaller side) but has an interesting layout. There's seating both indoors, outside, and upstairs. You may have to squeeze by a few tables to make your way to the restroom. Customer service was friendly and attentive. Pricing for food & drinks was a bit high. Our total for 2 entrees and 2 drinks was $60 before tip. We ordered two drinks (orange juice and an iced mocha) which were provided promptly. The orange juice was a little too sour and my mom had to add some sugar to improve the taste. The iced mocha was good, not too sweet. One thing to note the wait for our food took much longer than expected, and it may have been due to how busy it was. My mom opted to order the salmon yuzu benedict and I got an egg plate (scrambled eggs) with a side green salad. My mom mentioned the potatoes lacking salt but she enjoyed the salmon benedict. I thought the scrambled eggs were good, but slightly bland & needed salt and pepper. The side green salad was alright, but the vinaigrette had a bitter aftertaste. Overall, the meal was pretty good and timing wasn't the best. I'd likely return for brunch on a non-peak day. Definitely recommend joining the yelp waitlist prior to arriving if you can!

Firstly, I love GT and really enjoy their beer and visiting their taprooms. Full disclosure I'm a former professional brewer so I take beer VERY seriously! I've also worked in the service industry and understand that role. I know sh*t happens and I typically extend grace but if you know craft beer like I do you know when there's a great batch of something you love, there's nothing else like it and you will DRIVE to get it. Hop profiles shift, strike temps can differ, water chemistry varies, salts do only so much so a great batch is a great batch!! My issue is simple, when I order and pay for beer online for pickup, I expect that my beer will be there at the scheduled time. This is the second occasion that this has happened at this location, thus me writing this review. I don't have to tell anyone how rough it is driving through Bay Area traffic to pick up an order in another city and finding out once you arrive that your item isn't there. In this instance the beer-tender was extremely nonchalant and almost flippant so of course I left with a level of frustration that didn't just go away. What happened to accommodations when situations like this happen, ya know a small discount on the beer that I end up buying as a replacement. Telling me my card was refunded and you tried to call me when I have no voicemail from you isn't it. Surely my inconvenience deserves some sort of nod of acknowledgment. Overall it's an experience that leaves a bad taste, an off flavor if you will! I hope no one else encounters this and that my experiences are one-offs but I personally have very little faith that what I buy from this location will actually be there upon arrival. Better to just buy it on the spot since the convenience of ordering online doesn't seem to work out!
