I lost the key to a locked antique cabinet. Spent considerable time searching the internet and Yelp for a locksmith that might unlock the cabinet and possibly make a new key. Of the (several) locksmiths I reached out to, Jose was the most reasonable price and consistent in communication. Though I was able to unlock the cabinet on my own, I asked Jose to come anyway to check out the lock and make sure it worked correctly. He arrived when promised and quickly went to work. The cabinet actually has two locking sections. He checked both locks and did work to ensure they were in good working order. When it came time to pay, he charged less than the estimated cost. My 2016 Subaru Crosstrek's battery went dead and the key won't open the driver door. I went to some car repair fora for some tips and the advice I read suggested squirting lubrication into the keyhole, jiggling the keys while inside the lock, turning the key left and right repeatedly, turning the key to the right with some force...etc. None of them worked so we called Jose's Locksmith. After taking our call, Jose was with us in 35 minutes. Within 5 minutes, he assessed the situation, opened the car through the passenger side with some tools, opened the driver door from the inside, removed the door keyhole mechanism to inspect, peered inside the driver door to check on the locking mechanism, used a small wrench/screwdriver to fix something inside, reassembled the key/lock mechanism, and finally locked and unlocked the door with the key. Problem solved. It turns out the problem was the arm inside the car door that engaged the locking mechanism was out of alignment that no matter how I turned the key, the door won't unlock. I wasted so much time trying out the different suggestions and all of them wouldn't have mattered. The charge was very fair that you won't hesitate to hire him again. Do yourself a favor if you're having difficulty with locks, call Jose. Problem solved. read more
