His team treated our home with care and respect throughout. When they were done, we couldn't believe how beautifully the whole project came out (special shout-out to the flooring work, which was expertly handled). Cut to the end, our home did not stay on the market long. Would recommend to anyone looking to make home improvements.

The dispute went to binding arbitration through the American Arbitration Association (AAA). On January 20, 2023, the arbitrator ruled in my favor and issued an award of $36,868.31 against IVN Sound & Communication, LLC after finding that I had been overcharged and that work failed inspection by the City of Philadelphia. Case Number: 01-22-0003-3215 The arbitration findings included: * I paid $68,153.03 * Only $40,148.59 of work was deemed valid * Failed inspections by the City * Overpayment confirmed by the arbitrator The company was ordered to pay within 30 days. The judgment remains unpaid. I am not the only person who has reported problems with this operator. Others have left public complaints on consumer websites. I encourage anyone considering hiring to research reviews under the company name IVN Sound & Communication, LLC and the contractor's license number, PA 129226 before proceeding. Verify everything through court and arbitration records before you hire. furthermore, his assertion that I am a scam artist and tried to defraud Fannie Mae is unfounded and a defamatory statement, this is indicative of his lack of professionalism that I experienced.

They eventually repaired the gutter, but not the damage it caused to our ceiling. We were instructed to contact Power Home Remodeling to schedule a separate appointment for the ceiling repair. Since then, we have had four appointments canceled by their technicians. Each time, we were given the same explanation that the repair technician was sick. In August we were offered another appointment for October 7, 2026 however we explained that we were having our wedding celebration at our home and needed the ceiling repaired as soon as possible. We were told they do not have emergency technicians and that October 7 th was the earliest available appointment. We were also offered the option of obtaining three estimates from outside contractors and submitting them for possible reimbursement. During that conversation, the representative asked for my email address and told me she would email me so I would have a way to communicate with her directly regarding our issue. I agreed to discuss the options with my wife, but specifically asked to keep our October 7 appointment. I never received the email she promised. Then, on October 6, 2026,one day before our scheduled appointment we received another call from Power Remodeling informing us that the technician was sick and that our October 7 appointment was being canceled. They offered us another appointment, this time in January. My wife explained that waiting until January was unacceptable. We were then told they would call us back to try to find an appointment this week. Our ceiling has now been damaged for over a year, and the damaged area is directly over our light fixtures. After four cancellations and more than a year of delays, we are extremely concerned that this repair will never be completed. We have also seen other customer reviews describing similar issues with canceled appointments and poor follow-up. We paid Power Remodeling to do this work, and we should not have to spend more than a year trying to get damage caused by their installation repaired. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend that anyone considering this company carefully research its reviews and customer service history before hiring them.

I have worked with two other contractors recently, and I can honestly say that they don't come even remotely close to the quality of work that Carlos and his crew provided. Carlos and Victor remodeled my entire bathroom, removing and reinstalling new tile, a vanity, mirror, light fixture, toilet and other bathroom accessories in addition to spackling and painting. From start to finish, Carlos demonstrated an extreme attention to detail and a genuine commitment to making sure everything was done properly. He does not cut corners, and he takes the time to do things the right way even when it requires extra effort. For example, he noticed that my bathroom floor was not properly leveled, something that could have easily been overlooked or simply worked around. Instead, he took the time to correct the problem and make sure everything was properly leveled before continuing with the project. He even painted door trim outside of my bathroom to make sure it transitioned well with the bathroom, something that was not his responsibility. That level of care and thoroughness is exactly what you hope for in a contractor. The spackling and painting were absolutely immaculate. I have hired professional painters in the past who did not come close to the quality of the paint job Carlos delivered. Painting is 90% prep work: sanding and spackling. You can tell when a contractor understands the difference prep work makes, and Carlos and his group certainly does. Carlos and his crew were also kind, respectful, professional, and a pleasure to have working in my home. They were extremely conscientious about keeping everything clean throughout the project. In fact, I commented to my husband that my house looked cleaner after they left than it did before they started! Another thing that really stood out to me was the pricing. His prices are more than fair considering the quality of work, attention to detail, and level of care he provides. You TRULY feel that Carlos takes pride in his work and wants his customers to be completely satisfied with the finished product. It is VERY rare to find that these days. I could not be happier with the work C&N Construction LLC did for me. If you are are fussy about the details and looking for a contractor you can trust, who is meticulous, honest, thorough, reasonably priced, and genuinely cares about doing the job right, I would HIGHLY recommend Carlos and his crew. They exceeded my expectations, and I would absolutely use them again for future projects.

There truly was only one company for our huge unexpected project ~ Alpha Roofing. Be careful who you 'roof' with ~ many will not deal with insurance companies leaving you in the lurch just when you need their help most. We received a detailed estimate (thank you Edna and Christina!), Jim took the time to discuss our needed repairs with our insurance company and within a couple of weeks, Alpha had our roof fixed, the shelters beautifully repaired, the downspouts properly in place, the siding up and looking perfect! (THANK YOU SHAWN AND TOM!!) This is a top notch company ~ they keep appointments, their estimates are honest, their crew is professional and their work is unmatched. Above and beyond, Alpha Roofing is a godsend. P.S. Your clean-up was spectacular!

Very frustrating. Don't fall for the 15 year warranty like I did…read more I am writing my honest review after having my roof done by Alpha Roofing in January of 2026. I don't like writing reviews and most certainly don't like hurting people's businesses. I understand a business takes up a lot of time an effort to build and maintain while being easily hurt by reviews dropped casually over petty grievances putting somebody's living at risk. I do think taking thoughtful accountability can be a major driving force in the improvement of a business though, and that is the spirit in which I write this review. In a nutshell here is what happened to me. In December of 2025 I notice a leak in the ceiling of my baby child's bedroom. I call a roofer to take a look, and the ridge of the roof had been pulled off by the wind. Apparently, there were multiple vulnerable spots and the leak in my son's bedroom was just one of them which appeared to come from the chimney's lack of flashing (which was flagged by home inspection when I bought the house). The recommendation was to replace the roof. First offer was 10K with no warranty but after I spoke with Alpha Roofing they offered 7.6K with a 15 year warranty. I took the second offer because it sounded better plus this roofer had been recommended to me by a friend. So, the roof was done in January and in March the same leak appeared in my baby's room only 2 months after the roof was done. I get on the roof to check the chimney and notice that the flashing that had been done was a very poor job. Not only was it not step flashing (which is the standard practice and the logical thing to do here since the chimney was leaking and prompted the roof repair to begin with) but it was not even caulked around the entire perimeter surrounding the top seam of the flashing. When I showed the pictures to my home inspector, he said the flashing they did was called "Philly flashing" AKA "stupid flashing" (his words not mine). It was only the counter flashing with no step flashing laid in overlapping fashion with the shingles. I call Jim Barton (the owner of Alpha Roofing as far as I know and who had been referred to me by a friend) and he sends a couple of his workers to caulk the rest of the seam around the chimney flashing. I ask if the solution is not to do the step flashing since that is the industry standard and because my house inspector told me that the caulking would have to be redone after 2 years or so (and I paid for 15 year warranty). Jim offers to send his guys to redo it every 2 years on my bill. I tell him I don't like that because the price tag of 7.6K I paid included 15 years of warranty. After me basically wrestling with this issue over text messages and many ignored calls, Jim agrees to redo the flashing around the chimney. So, after a couple more months and a new leak in the same spot of by son's bedroom he finally sends his guys again but, surprise: he only does the counterflashing again with no step flashing. The only upgrade was cutting the reglets on the chimney wall to tuck in the top seam of the flashing sheet. I feel I have been wronged by this person. The only time Jim reached out to me was to call me in the middle of the weekend to ask for the payment of the service done the previous day. After that I have been forced to work around his schedule to communicate with him and I can't have a reasonable conversation. This is very unprofessional and shows that he is totally fine leaving me at a very uncomfortable position waiting for my roof to leak again and only then get him to do something about it. I understand that talking to clients can be frustrating and nerve wrecking for a business owner worried about lawsuits and liability. However, I have been very reasonable and waited 9 months before dropping this review after being basically ignored all this time. I am almost ready to abandon this 15-year warranty. I am more than willing to withdraw this review if I see serious and consequential action to make amends.

Here are a few moments we did not like. - The quote was 40% higher than every (6) other quote we got. Yes, I'm the bozo who believed they would do a better job on the roof, communication and cleanup. - They were unwilling to provide/send the presentation to us so that we could re-review it (should have been the first red flag). - The dumpster was left in our driveway for 3 more days than we were told. Who doesn't love a dumpster of trash blocking their driveway over the weekend. They did put wood blocks under the dumpster to protect the driveway which we did ask about and appreciate. - The cleanup was horrendous. We notified the company at least three times that there were nails still left scattered all over the yard. To their credit, they did come back out to clean but what a half butt job to the point we had to incur the cost of buying our own magnetic lawn sweeper. Subsequent cleanups included paper, plastic, nails (on the ground and on the roof), cigarette butts and broken shingles from the old roof. Nails were both old nails and new nails. - During the presentation we specifically asked if they used sub-contractors. They said they did not and if you go with them then you will find out what's accurate. If you are picky, hope this helps, make your own decision based off of your own experience. It was decided to go with a different company for other properties.
