13 Vinyl replacement windows were installed 10 years ago by Windows Plus. They initially appeared to be okay. One window cracked and Windows Plus replaced it. Anot Our house is now being resided and all windows are being replaced by contractor grade new windows. The damage that the Windows Plus Installer created is massive. Their windows were improperly measured (likely from inside which is completely wrong) and jammed deep into the window opening leaving holes and cracks in the dry wall. The damage is only seen now as the windows have been removed. .We have had to engage a carpenter to repair the damage. . At a later time we had another window installer put in several more. Those were properly measured and installed. I would strongly advise against using this vendor and asking a lot of questions about measurement and installation before buying vinyl replacement windows. We have learned the hard way that basically windows are windows...it's all about the installation. read more

We love our new bay window! Windows Plus did a great job! They took their time to ensure it was installed and sealed appropriately especially with rain we got over the few days during the installation. They made sure the window is well insulated & we can definitely feel a difference in the temperature of our living room. They never left a mess and cleaned up after each day of work. We had Windows Plus out almost 2 years ago to replace our front door and sidelight. Within 36 hours the door shifted and could no longer be locked. The tech came out immediately to resolve the issue. Then the weather stripping own the bottom of the door came off within the first 6 months. Again, the company was responsive. All seemed fine so we signed a contract with them to replace all of the windows in our home as well as the patio slider door & door that led to the garage. Covid became an understandable issue so the project was stalled by roughly 10 months. In that time the weather stripping came off twice more. The last time, the tech reached under & pulled off any remaining weather stripping & said the problem was resolved. Finally a tech was able to fix that issue but then we had light pouring in the lower side of the door. All the while, since the second weather stripping incident, the door sticks terribly. I need to use my shoulder to push it open. Before that the door rattled though with the wind. Neither is an expected outcome with a door that cost around $4,000. The company became very slow to respond to issues, the last took over 2 months to resolve. The install of the second project went well with just a few minor hiccups with the exception of our octagon window over our front door. I expressed concern to our salesman prior to signing the contract. There clearly is a disconnect between the salesman and the installers. This job was outside the scope of their expertise & they should never have accepted the job. The tech came back out this week & stated as much when he said that he dislikes octagon windows and tries to never have to work with them. The only fix he could think of was to take off the capping and try to replace it with a composite. But again, he dislikes working on octagon windows. We decided to take our business elsewhere. read more

I reached out to Windows Plus for an estimate in November and after the initial visit, they went dark for 6 weeks and ultimately declined to give me an estimate. I invited the Windows Plus rep into my home to measure our windows and provide an estimate. At the time, he was very forthcoming and provided options that I was interested in. I choose what I thought would work best for us, and waited patiently. After a week, he reached out to provide an update (distributor slow to provide a quote). Very helpful and appreciated, but I erred on the side of caution and reached out to the local distributor myself. After another 2 weeks, I reached out to get an update. Nothing available. After 5 more weeks, I received a materials estimate back from the distributor from when I contacted them separately, and reached out to Windows Plus again. They quickly responded and said they would not provide an estimate. I would say it was an extremely frustrating process, especially considering I want to limit the amount of strangers walking through the house in 2020. To not provide the courtesy of an estimate (even if not the windows spec'd) is shoddy practice at best. If you're looking to price out your best options, I would look elsewhere. The risk of wasting time with Windows Plus is high and unreasonable if you want to make a decision within the next 3 months. read more

We had a front and storm door installed in April. By January, after 5 failed attempts to try and fix the door, they sent someone out to take the whole thing out and reinstall it. The door was measured wrong from the beginning and has large gaps around the whole thing. It still doesn't sit flush with the frame And I have a hard time looking at it. They answered and returned calls when ever I made them, and sent people to try and "fix" the problems multiple times. Details are provided below, but the experience can be summarized as poor customer service and window/sliding door leaks. It's truly unfortunate that I have to leave this review. The reason why I'm posting this review over one year later from when we first had the windows installed is because we were hoping to resolve the issue with them directly and wanted to give them a chance. We reached out to them numerous times, given them many chances and have been so patient to work the issue directly with them first. There was no sense of urgency. The lack of customer service and non-responses after SEVERAL leaks is unacceptable. In over a year we have had 5 leaks and 1 stuck screen door. We've constantly had to follow-up with them as we don't hear from them. Our new hardwood floors, blinds, trims and dry wall are ruined. This experience with Windows Plus has been a long drawn-out painful process. Oct 19th, 2016 - First reached out to them for a quote. Compared to the 4 other companies we had a quote from, we had a great first impression. They were the first to respond and the person who came out to provide a quote was really friendly. We were pleased with the initial experience. Feb 14, 2017 - After the installation we realized that one of the windows we installed did not have any screens, so we reached out to them to have them put in. They had left out the screens to the windows. Feb 23rd, 2017 - We noticed that one of the screens for the sliding door gets stuck whenever we try to open it, so we also reached out to them about fixing the screen door. Feb 28th, 2017 - We saw on this date one of the sliding door was leaking a lot of water. No one had come out about the previous 2 issues yet. March 7, 2017 - Someone finally came out. He was an hour late with no phone call or email that he was running late. I had to email them. It's difficult when this happens and I have to take a certain amount of time off for work. Oct 9th, 2017 - This time the window leaked. We emailed them right away. Each time the window leaked we provided pictures and videos so they could see the situation. Oct 30th, 2017 - No one had responded to my original email, so I followed up again. The response was that she'll come back to me on a date, but that didn't happen so I followed-up again up again in November, December, and January 2018. We have now passed more rainy days and snow. January 12th, 2018 - More leaks from the sliding door. We are now into the New Year. Issue from the last leak was STILL not addressed. The blinds, window trim, and hardwood floors continue to be soaked. January 26th, 2018 - Finally came out to look at the window leaks again. Took them over 3 months to find a time to come out for 30 min. and caulk the leaked windows. April 16th, 2018 - ANOTHER leak on the window. We notified them right away. May 1st, 2018 - Came out to caulk the leaked window. Nov 24th, 2018 - ANOTHER leak from the same window. We emailed her that day with videos of the leak. Dec 3rd, 2018 - Since there was no response for a week we followed-up with her again. She responded short with "I am working on it" Dec 5th, 2018 - At this point, we're exhausted from waiting and always having to follow-up. We decided we would no longer wait yet again for another delayed response. We have been patient enough. The holidays are here and probably snow soon too. Since there was no response from her again, we notified her late that evening at 9:23 pm and gave her a heads up that this review will be posted. Dec 6th 2018 - They just happened to find availability the day after I notified them that I will be leaving a review online. read more

I got a sliding glass door installed on a wall where there was no window. They did a great job!!! Neat and clean. They had to get two separate crews to come out to do the demo and to install the actual door. Getting the initial appointment was a little frustrating, it took a long while because they were busy and the door took a while to come in. I will be using them again, as they did a great job! In August of 2009, my husband and I contacted WindowsPlus to repair and replace our roof, gutters and fascia board (the wood that holds the gutters to the house). This was a HUGE mistake! We have had constant water damage to the house since they "fixed" our problem. Our daughter is no longer able to sleep in her room (second floor) due to the stench of mold caused by the sever water damage. The water damage is so bad that the water flows down the walls of our first floor bathroom, as well. My husband climbed on to the roof in an effort to locate the problem only to discover that the gutters had been installed ABOVE the roofline. They were basically guiding the water into the house. WindowsPlus did correct this problem, however, we continue have a flow of water each time it rains. They claim that our windows or siding must be the problem and said that it was not necessary to complete a hose test (spraying water on the roof to locate the leak). Two nights ago, my husband tore the wall and part of the ceiling out of our daughter's room. He located another problem. The fascia board was also improperly installed and the water just flows down the inside of the wall. Thank you WindowsPlus for being the WORST company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
