Everything was easy, convenient, timely, and well communicated from the first conversation through installation. We had our front entry door replaced, along with our garage entry door and a new screen/storm door. Bryan took the time to walk us through the different options, helped us get the look we wanted, and worked with the manufacturer when we had specific requests around the front door and trim. Bryan and his team were excellent every step of the way. The installation was professional, the finished work looks great, and the difference in our home was noticeable almost immediately. The house is quieter, the doors seal significantly better, and we can already feel the improvement in keeping the cool air inside and the hot air outside. Really, everyone was a pleasure to work with. We called, they answered, and we got an appointment promptly and smoothly. Our experience then continued with Chris Burton, who answered all of our questions and was very communicative. He gave us a price for our two bow windows that was less than the other local company we got a quote from, and with a better warranty, and he seemed a lot more invested in our business than the other guy. We ended up asking them to do two bow windows, an additional five bedroom windows, and our back door, which was falling apart. Mike came out to measure and he was right on the dot, time wise. Their estimated lead time of ten weeks or so was about right, and then Mike and his team (Travis, Cash) came out to do the install, which they completed in a few days. The windows look great! And they seem quieter and way more insulating than the old ones. Hopefully they stay that way for a long time. My only minor complaints are that the guys trampled my flowers a bit and also gave us bow windows that are "deeper" than our old ones (they stick out past where the old ones ended). As long as they don't fall out or put strain on my house, though, I'm actually kind of enjoying the deeper window because I can fit more houseplants there. It does look a bit funny though (see photos). Also, we opted to stain the wood trim around the windows and the guys were kind enough to install the wood, wait till we'd stained the pieces, then come back to do the last bit of caulking. My dad told me, "If you already paid them, they're not coming back," but he's apparently never worked with a company like Thermal! Also, Danielle, their scheduler, was very responsive and fun to chat with. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd recommend them to anyone looking for an honest company with good prices.

I'd been given several quotes from big box stores, handyman and manufacturer, and the price for the quality I wanted was out of my budget. I found Zen Windows on Angie's List. Mak was quick to respond and provided me options. I got the quality I wanted for a very fair price PLUS it was so easy! I didn't have to wait days/weeks for someone to come out to measure and "sell" me a door. The communication with Mak and the installer, John, was easy. The installer arrived on time and went out of his way to resolve some obstacles my house presented. Quality was important for me as this oversize door is opened/closed many times throughout the day (let the dogs out, let the dogs in: repeat). The screen is perfect for pets and is so minimalist I find myself checking to be sure it's closed. It was surprising to me that I wasn't asked for a deposit and refreshing to do business in this way. We set up an appointment for just 4 business days after the first message. Two people came in around 11am, were very careful and were done within 30 mins. They were very careful and cleaned up afterwards. The door now looks as good as new! The one small thing I wasn't very happy about was that they were not wearing masks but other than it was a great service and a great cost!

Carlos and Victor remodeled my entire bathroom, removing and reinstalling new tile, a vanity, mirror, light fixture, toilet and other bathroom accessories in addition to spackling and painting. From start to finish, Carlos demonstrated an extreme attention to detail and a genuine commitment to making sure everything was done properly. He does not cut corners, and he takes the time to do things the right way even when it requires extra effort. For example, he noticed that my bathroom floor was not properly leveled, something that could have easily been overlooked or simply worked around. Instead, he took the time to correct the problem and make sure everything was properly leveled before continuing with the project. He even painted door trim outside of my bathroom to make sure it transitioned well with the bathroom, something that was not his responsibility. That level of care and thoroughness is exactly what you hope for in a contractor. The spackling and painting were absolutely immaculate. I have hired professional painters in the past who did not come close to the quality of the paint job Carlos delivered. Painting is 90% prep work: sanding and spackling. You can tell when a contractor understands the difference prep work makes, and Carlos and his group certainly does. Carlos and his crew were also kind, respectful, professional, and a pleasure to have working in my home. They were extremely conscientious about keeping everything clean throughout the project. In fact, I commented to my husband that my house looked cleaner after they left than it did before they started! Another thing that really stood out to me was the pricing. His prices are more than fair considering the quality of work, attention to detail, and level of care he provides. You TRULY feel that Carlos takes pride in his work and wants his customers to be completely satisfied with the finished product. It is VERY rare to find that these days. I could not be happier with the work C&N Construction LLC did for me. If you are are fussy about the details and looking for a contractor you can trust, who is meticulous, honest, thorough, reasonably priced, and genuinely cares about doing the job right, I would HIGHLY recommend Carlos and his crew. Here are a few moments we did not like. - The quote was 40% higher than every (6) other quote we got. Yes, I'm the bozo who believed they would do a better job on the roof, communication and cleanup. - They were unwilling to provide/send the presentation to us so that we could re-review it (should have been the first red flag). - The dumpster was left in our driveway for 3 more days than we were told. Who doesn't love a dumpster of trash blocking their driveway over the weekend. They did put wood blocks under the dumpster to protect the driveway which we did ask about and appreciate. - The cleanup was horrendous. We notified the company at least three times that there were nails still left scattered all over the yard. To their credit, they did come back out to clean but what a half butt job to the point we had to incur the cost of buying our own magnetic lawn sweeper. Subsequent cleanups included paper, plastic, nails (on the ground and on the roof), cigarette butts and broken shingles from the old roof. Nails were both old nails and new nails. - During the presentation we specifically asked if they used sub-contractors. They said they did not and if you go with them then you will find out what's accurate. If you are picky, hope this helps, make your own decision based off of your own experience. It was decided to go with a different company for other properties.
