After trying two other glass companies who weren't very responsive, I found Trimm Glass. A job well done. Had storm damage on a second story family room window, these guys came out, measured, did a bang up installation job. Thank you! Update: after less than one year, the caulk they used to fix the window began to chip and crack. Turns out they used indoor caulk on an outdoor window, hello? So when I called them up about it, they sent a guy, who then looked at the window and said he would set up an appointment to come back at another time because he didn't have a ladder, what? So he came back about a week later. When I called back about the problem, I mentioned another huge picture window that needed to be replaced, nobody looked at it during either visit. We found this company on google, along with a couple other local glass companies. We got quotes from each, and Trimm's was the most reasonable. When we called them for THE initial estimate, they sent someone out the next day, and we received our quote early the following day. We are very happy with the work that was done. The technicians were very polite and professional from start to finish, and the office staff was very nice and helpful with answering all our questions. Not only was Trimm Glass immediately responsive (they sent a guy out the next day) but they carefully matched the almost 60 year old shower door glass perfectly to the rest of the shower. We needed 3 major glass doors replaced on our porch, the screens replaced and a major adjustment with the sliding mechanism of one door that seemed hopelessly stuck I didn't think it was possible to fix it, but every part of the job was done quickly and expertly to perfection. The new door slides with only our little fingers! The men were professional, and fast. We were on a tight schedule, and they accommodated to our needs not just theirs. I recently began using Trim Glass for a broken mirror. They did a beautiful job, and I should have written a review. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were timely and their price was fine. I went back to have screens made. Again, their work was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the job was done promptly. I should have written a review. In both cases, they would have been rated with 5 stars. The glass on a large table was broken. Understandably, this was a more expensive job, and took a few weeks. They came out to take the table frame. Last week, I was called by Megan at 9:09 AM. Megan said they were loading the truck and would be at my home before 10 AM. I was delighted, and gladly rearranged my day. By 10:10 AM, I called Megan. She was surprised that they were not there. She called the Trimm Glass Delivery people. She called me back in a few minutes. She said she was sorry, but they changed up the delivery schedule and didn't tell her, but they would be there in 20 minutes-1/2 hour. I told her I was not happy, as I scheduled around this, and if I was informed, of the time change, I could have changed my day. At 11:15 AM, they were still not at my home. I called Megan. She checked, once again, and called back to say they were almost at my driveway. I told her that I have gone from a very happy customer to an unhappy customer. She was very nice and completely understood. At 11:30 AM, they arrived. I told them that they were scheduled to arrive before 10 AM, and that this 1 1/2 hour delay was inconvenient. They told me that the office does this to them all the time, and that they never knew that they were supposed to be at my home before 10 AM. I am sorry to be writing this review. I am not recommending that people NOT do business with Trimm Glass, as they did very nice work for me on three occasions. The glass table looks very nice. I am sorry that I did not write reviews when I was happy. If they would have delivered the table on time, or, at least, inform me of a delay, I would have been fine. Their internal communications was at fault, and blaming others is never a good idea. read more
