Inside the dry cleaners, there's a dedicated sewing and alterations room with a changing area. My initial fitting was on a Monday. It was short and efficient, but definitely not rushed--they were warm and accommodating, and clearly knew what they were doing. A few days later on Thursday, I got a text that the dress was ready! Alterations are never cheap, but Maria's skill and attention to detail make every penny worth it. I can't praise her enough. If you need anything tailored, I highly recommend Maria. I brought my custom made wedding tux to them a couple of days after my wedding. Dropped the tux off…read moreon 9/11, I called special attention to the collar of my custom shirt due to some stains. The woman at the desk acknowledged the stain and put a sticker on it and said they'd take care of it. I went to pick it up a few days later and found my white shirt to have what looked like a grease stain on it. Again, the woman at the front desk was super sweet and apologized and said they'd take care of it. Few days later, my wife went to pick it up. Same stains still existed on the shirt. Never received a phone call stating they couldn't remove the stains or anything. Told my wife to come back in a few days and said they would again, take care of it. I went to pick up my shirt on 9/26. Once again, the stains were still there. This time I was met with a gentleman. He was rude and more or less said they couldn't do anything. I explained that the shirt in which they ruined, was worn once under my vest and was over $200 custom made for my wedding. He was more or less getting nasty with me even though their machine ruined the shirt. He asked if I wanted them to use a chemical clean to try and remove the stain, in which case I said just fix my shirt. Went to pick it up today. 13 days later, stain was not removed. Throughout this whole process, not a single phone call, not a message. Nothing. They ruined my shirt that I only wore ONCE during my wedding and had custom made with embroidery on it. I understand accidents happen but ruining someone's clothes and taking no responsibility for it is a business I refuse to ever give my business to again. For something so sentimental and expensive, the lack of care and communication is unacceptable. I would not recommend this cleaner if you value your clothing or expect basic professionalism.

The woman said it was six dollars per patch, for a total of $30, which I thought was pretty expensive, but she said to come in and she would give me a better price. I drove 10 minutes there, and we took some time to figure out the correct locations of each patch on the shirt. The owner then told me that the total price would be $28. That really wasn't much below what she told me on the phone, and I told her I just couldn't afford that. (FYI, there was a more local drycleaner who ended up doing it for $18) The Women started angrily ripping off the patches she had pinned onto the shirt. I asked her to please leave them in place, but she said, "no! These are my pins!" and told me to leave. I was so upset leaving the store. Not only would I have been overcharged, but I've never been treated so rudely in a store!

If I could give Julie's ten stars, I totally would…read more I haven't had much dry cleaning done here, but that's because I don't own many things that are dry cleanable. The dry cleaning I *have* had done has been impeccable, though, with them trying more than once to remove stains at no extra charge. They are even accommodating with my quirks of asking for no wire hangers or plastic coverings on my cleaning (I bring my own plastic hangers - save the planet, man!). What truly makes Julie's a superstar in my book is the alterations. I've had several items altered here - pants hemmed and waists taken in, and even a few more "unique" projects like adding ruffle trim to the bottom of a dress that had stains that refused to come out, and altering a fancy little girl's dress for Christmas. Ria, the owner, is always up for the challenge, and they do incredible work. I always know when I pick up my items that you would have no idea they'd been altered at all. They're that good! Always friendly, and willing to accommodate rush jobs if necessary, even at their busiest times of the year. They are easily accessible, in the same building as the Wawa at Frankford and Linden, and walkable from my house. I am super picky about alterations, and I won't go anywhere else! Go, you won't be disappointed!

I was told everything would be ready for pick-up on Saturday (as stated on the receipt) so I stopped in yesterday. The clothes are needed for work on Monday morning. When I handed the cashier my receipt, I was informed that my blouses were ready, but not my pants. I was not happy with this. The owner, Ria, approached me and said she didn't have my pants and asked when I needed them. I explained I work in Center City and wouldn't have time to come by before work on Monday. She said she could meet me at the dry cleaners today (Sunday) and provide the pants. My understanding is they don't dry clean dress slacks on premise. She took down my phone number and said she'd call me. Yesterday evening I got a phone call from Ria saying she had 4 pairs of pants ready and was willing to drop them off to me at my doorstep. I didn't know what to say. She drove from her home to get me my pants and hand them to me. The customer service blew me away. Ria said I would get a text message indicating when I could pick up the remaining pairs of pants. I'm sure you could imagine how displeased I could've been walking away from this business, but Ria was quick to turn a negative experience around and make sure I was a happy client. I can't thank Ria and Julie's enough for their dedication to their customers.

They checked the dress when dropped off and did not say anything about a stain. I picked it up 2 hours before the wedding I had and there were steam stains all over the dress.
