I bought a pair a jeans online, they were way to long in the legs and alittle tight in the waist…read morebut I loved them so much. So Instead of returning them, I brought them in to "Tailor While You Wait" and asked if they could add a bit of fabric to the back around the waist so they would fit me better and have the legs tailored. The woman had me put the jeans on and did the measurements for my waist and the hem, the only problem (and I take full responsibility) was when I changed into the jeans I never put my shoes back on... it would've been nice if she had suggested or reminded me that I should wear my shoes but it's my own fault. Anyways, they were busy so it took a few days but when I picked up my jeans I absolutely loved them (even with the hem alittle short w shoes on) they fit my waist and have been my favorite jeans! I have also had a dress altered here and it came out beautifully. This is a historical landmark of Toms River and has all the lovely personalizations of a small business.

The owner told me that they are normally closed on Sundays , but since I was a bride, he wanted to make sure that he could devote attention to only my dress. I was very appreciative and we confirmed my appointment for June 7th. I called on Monday June 1st to confirm my appointment since i had my aunts traveling from NY to be apart of my fitting and see my dress. i spoke to the owner again and he confirmed my appointment for Sunday. I arrived at the place on Sunday June 7th and the door was locked and the lights were off. I called the shops number multiple times with no answer and also called the owners cell number that he listed on his business card. I had to call his cell MULTIPLE times before getting an answer, all while standing on the side walk with my family and my wedding dresses in our hands. When he finally picked up the phone, he explained that he wasn't even in the state! Apparently he was in NY on his way to pick up suits. There was no remorse on his end for completely leaving me high and dry. All he said was "i didnt have an appointment for you. You know, life happens". Absolutely horrible experience. How on earth can you confirm an appointment with someone and then tell them days later that they never had an appointment? Horrible way to run a business. I understand that mistakes happen but he literally had no remorse for the fact that i was standing on the sidewalk with my family and wedding dresses waiting for HIM! My aunts drove over 3 hours to support me at this fitting and I felt absolutely terrible. Needless to say, ill never book anything here or recommend them to anyone

The…read moreworkmanship was not at a professional level--hems were uneven, seams were puckered, and the overall finishing looked rushed and careless. Unfortunately, a couple of the pieces were altered to the point that they're no longer wearable, which is incredibly frustrating given the cost of both the clothing and the service. I chose this business expecting basic tailoring standards and attention to detail, but that wasn't my experience. Based on the quality of the work I received, I would not recommend them for alterations.
