What a wonderful stress free experience…read more Mini-Me wanted to come here on Wednesday to look at dresses, unfortunately neither of us stopped to check the hours, so we arrived at noon and napped in the car till 1pm when the shop opened. We didn't have an appointment so I wasn't sure how it was going to go, as the previous shop (that also has a discount shop- hint) that we walked into gave us total attitude and told us it would be a 45 min wait and they do not take appointments, so sure I would love to stand around (literally stand in a roped off lobby) and twiddle my thumbs for 45 minutes.. NAHT! Anyway, walked into Nicoles, and were instantly greeted with warm hellos and smiles! I let the Assistant know we were looking for prom dresses she smiled and said she would be near by, if we needed her. First the shop is not huge, but it isn't small, its decorated modestly but beautifully and with personal touches. As for the racks of dresses, the dresses are not separated by style but by colour- AND I personally love this. Sizes for trying on range from 2 to over 10 from what I could see, but Mini-Me is a size 0, so everything she tried on had to be clipped anyway. Mini-Me pulled about 10 dresses in different styles and colours and the owner Ms. Nicole, even suggested 2 dress styles that we had not come across, that were stunning. I did let her and our Assistant know our price point ahead of time ( which I think is very important so that there are no misunderstandings) and all the dresses fit well within this range. There are a few one of a kind dresses and we did settle on one dress and which we requested a dress invoice (did not order yet) to show "Bank of Dad" when he got home from work, but as we walked out, Mini-Me saw another dress and said, "I forgot about that dress". I just smiled and said okay, because, after all isn't this what having a daughter is all about? this is a wonderful experience I am sharing with my baby girl and I am going to revel in the joy of it all. With that said, we will be back next week to try on that particular dress and I am sure a few others, just in case. I can say without reservation, that we had a wonderful shopping experience at Nicoles Boutique, Ms. Nicole and her staff truly enjoy what they do and that speaks volumes when it comes to being a patron of a business.

The owner…read morehas been in the business for over thirty five years is friendly courteous and will help you plan your outfits for your wedding or formal engagement. The best thing about this establishment is that it is fully stocked with inventory and accessories and alterations, if needed, are done upon pickup to insure the proper fit and look you desire. They also have an on premises seamstress who will alter your garments to your liking. My spouse had a dress altered with the hem and straps altered to make the dress look fabulous. They do take appointments and this a good idea since it was quite busy when we were there. You get great quality, service and a competitive pricing.'

A younger gentleman named Andy came out, I told him what I was looking for. He started on the clearance rack (surprisingly) but I did not like the cut of what he had in my size. His boss (Nina?) walked over and said Calvin Klein is on sale and it had the slimmer fit I was looking for. While we waited, the place got mobbed with kids coming in for prom tuxes. Andy did not venture off, he stayed with me. Helped me find what I needed and I was comfortable with. Nina weighed in and offered some alterations. The bride requested the arbor be set up on the sand and they couldn't do it (wrong type). Now after several of us guests wrote reviews on their FaceBook page they have (Unpublished) the page. Rude and obnoxious and over priced Went in to buy 9…read morecostumes for the renaissance faire - was with my children I was told they couldn't take the costumes off the shelves - ok no problem I get that- u was told they can't take costumes out of the bags- I get that too - there were signs posted of that rule - but when I went to send a picture of a costume to my sister to see if she liked it I was told We don't allow cameras or photos of our merchandise - I explained I was sending my sister a photo since she couldn't make it and she said no exceptions I asked if there was a posted sign to this affect and I was told it's a general store policy and they don't post signs stating this (despite signs being posted all over the store about not taking costumes out of the bags) it's not that she was dictating and laying rules the entire 8 minutes I was in the store - whatever to each it's own - it's the fact I was getting an attitude about it and being dismissed as a patron of the store - I went in with the intention to purchase 9 costumes she was told this when we walked in but obviously our business wasn't welcome there from the attitude we received They also have signs posted 25% off costumes - one if the children's costumes I was looking at was 49.99 in party lane (about 36.50 after the discount). I found the same costume for 24.99 at the other store funny thing is if it wasn't for the obnoxious attitude which forced me to walk out of the store I would have purchased the costume from party lane without thinking twice I found my costumes at another local store and luckily Party lane was so rude because the other store was much more reasonable price wise, much more helpful and much more appreciative of my business
