When I went back, I was not happy with the length, but she hurried me out and said it was perfect. She charged me a total of $730 for alterations and hemming. After trying it on a few times at home I was still not happy with it, I decided to get a second opinion. I brought it to another tailor in Brick, and they told me Mona ruined the dress. It was not until I went to this second tailor did I realize what a terrible job Mona did for a ton of money, $730. This was a $1500 dress. Mona cut the lace when she was not supposed to. The top of the dress was a botched job. Also, Mona did not take it in correctly around the hip area. Basically, the new tailor must totally re-do the dress again from start. I was so upset but the new tailor is going to do their best to fix it for me for a total of $250. When going back to Mona she was very unprofessional and nasty and would not listen to a word I said. She told me the new tailor was going to ruin the dress on me. Mona just yelled and screamed at me and kicked me out. I would never want anyone else to experience this. I was naive and did not know any better and I got screwed. Please be careful and do not go to Mona's Boutiques and Tailoring. Please do your research.

When my daughter tried the dress on and came out of the dressing room Mona looked at the dress on her and said that it was too much material to take in and told her to order a size smaller. She did not care that it was the smallest size possible. If she was truly a seamstress she would have taken in the dress where it was needed but I guess it was too much work for her and she did not want to do it. I will NEVER go back to her shop again.

The best thing about this establishment is that it is fully stocked with inventory and accessories and alterations, if needed, are done upon pickup to insure the proper fit and look you desire. They also have an on premises seamstress who will alter your garments to your liking. My spouse had a dress altered with the hem and straps altered to make the dress look fabulous. Rude and obnoxious and over priced Went in to buy 9…read morecostumes for the renaissance faire - was with my children I was told they couldn't take the costumes off the shelves - ok no problem I get that- u was told they can't take costumes out of the bags- I get that too - there were signs posted of that rule - but when I went to send a picture of a costume to my sister to see if she liked it I was told We don't allow cameras or photos of our merchandise - I explained I was sending my sister a photo since she couldn't make it and she said no exceptions I asked if there was a posted sign to this affect and I was told it's a general store policy and they don't post signs stating this (despite signs being posted all over the store about not taking costumes out of the bags) it's not that she was dictating and laying rules the entire 8 minutes I was in the store - whatever to each it's own - it's the fact I was getting an attitude about it and being dismissed as a patron of the store - I went in with the intention to purchase 9 costumes she was told this when we walked in but obviously our business wasn't welcome there from the attitude we received They also have signs posted 25% off costumes - one if the children's costumes I was looking at was 49.99 in party lane (about 36.50 after the discount). I found the same costume for 24.99 at the other store funny thing is if it wasn't for the obnoxious attitude which forced me to walk out of the store I would have purchased the costume from party lane without thinking twice I found my costumes at another local store and luckily Party lane was so rude because the other store was much more reasonable price wise, much more helpful and much more appreciative of my business

Basically, theirs is the Gillette business model where the handle is free but don't ask about the cost of the blades. The suit looks great, the service was professional and I'm not stuck with five extra suits from Italian designers that I've never heard of. Ginzo Jabroni just doesn't ring a bell.
