For example, when I first went there, I'd never been to a laundromat before and was quite nervous so I had some rather obvious and silly-sounding questions, like how to exchange bills for quarters, but the gentle woman behind the counter patiently answered my questions and made me feel welcome. As well, I've only ever seen her and other people who work there treat their customers fairly and courteously. I'm grateful for the people at Richard's Laundromat.

I did one load there where I even mixed darks and lights because one I was pressed for time (couldn't wait for another load) and two I was pressed with the price. So the following weekend I went online and found a few options. Some with lots of machines, a little further, some with a coffee shop inside, but this one caught my attention so I decided to give it a try. The place was very clean and well kept. Smelled very good. There was a very nice lady there working that seemed to know everyone that came in. You can tell there is definitely a local vibe in this place. The clientele was very friendly. The machines start at $2.50 to wash and $0.25 to dry for every 7 minutes. Can't beat that ! So I was able to separate my cloths this time, do 2 loads and be in and out in less then 1h30m. There is parking in the front. People can double park behind you if they need to quickly run inside. And there is additional parking in the back. The only thing I would add as a service to the customers is Wi-fi. Not a deal breaker but it would be nice to be able to sit in the car and wait while watching some movies on Netflix thru your laptop.

I was talking to a new friend recently about where we take our dry cleaning and it turns out that since we live so close to each other that we go to the same one: Towne Cleaners on the corner of Union Mill and Elbo Roads in Mount Laurel in the shopping center for the new Shop Rite. I know we tend to choose dry cleaners and grocery stores according to proximity and convenience, but having Towne Cleaners be the closest dry cleaner to my home is like having Leo DiCaprio move in right next door to you: if you're single and straight, you cannot believe your luck! What I mean is, this place has your items ready for you within two days, never as much as pops off a button or ruins a zipper, doesn't charge a terrible lot (at least for what you get) and here's the best feature...drumroll please...there's an onsite seamstress that tailors every article of clothing I take to her just like she's my own personal fashion fairy godmother! She's made walking shorts out of stale old high-water trousers, made a camisole fit like a glove after my trying it on and feeling like a 12-year-old at the senior prom and basted a hem for me on a pair of tweed pants I love and couldn't wear with heels...now I can! When I first dropped my dress off, the woman was upfront and honest with me and said that some of the stains may not come out. She said she would dry clean it and if the stains came out then she would get it preserved in a box. A few weeks later she called and said it came out perfectly and then charged me for the preservation. She could have easily charged me up front for both but she did not. All of the stains and dirt have been completely removed and my dress looks brand new. I couldn't be happier with how my dress turned out and I highly recommend this dry cleaners.
