In response to owner's comment: yes a panzeratti is fried. They also include the sauce inside it instead as a dip. They are delicious, you should try them. The difference between calzone and stromboli is calzones are folded and stromboli are rolled. The cheese ricotta is regional/selective but not defining of stramboli. It's a shame you choose to ignore that I enjoyed your calzones. They are good! And I recommend them to others. In town to visit my son at UNT. Ordered a daily special of two 2 topping pizzas and a two liter for delivery. Food was delivered hot in less time than promised and soda was cold. Eh, it's alright. None of the employees were wearing masks and the space inside is rather small for dining in. There were a ton of spider webs on the inside above the doorway. Tired of wannabe pizza. I saw jonuzi's while driving down the street. I'll researched it and found it to be the best in Denton. I waited for a special occasion to order from them. Pizza- dough was ok to good. Sauce wasn't sweet - a plus Toppings are yet to be found- tiny chopped bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, sausage, bacon..... doesn't make it for flavor. maybe the best in Denton except for frozen Tony's that is bought in the grocery stores. Failed in my experience and I won't go into delivery time and mouthy delivery driver. I won't buy here again though it was an honest interpretation of a frozen pizza. Last night I ordered a meats pizza, cheese sticks and a greek salad for pick up. Not only was the pizza crust so tough it was a struggle to bite through it but instead of pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon and meatballs it only had pepperoni and sausage. Very disappointed. This was actually pretty good. I got the medium Texas Ranch and for the size it's actually a pretty good price. The meat is really fresh and so is the marinara sauce. They have the perfect amount of portion sizes when it comes to ingredients in the pizza. Their menu is mouth watering as well with so many different options like salads, subs, burgers, wings (good prices), and pizza. I was craving good pizza so I hopped on Yelp to see what was around that wasn't Pizza Hut (or similar crap) and decided to give this place a shot. Atmosphere was just a little hole in the wall with a few tables and a TV. It's a pizza place so I'm sure mostly they do orders and carry out though. I got the lunch special that was a 12" pizza with 2 toppings and a drink for $9.99. The pizza came out about 15 minutes later and it was big. No way I could eat the whole thing in one sitting so that made the price even better because I got two meals for $10. The dough was very good and if it's not made from scratch then they buy good dough from somewhere else. Very good and I'll definitely go back. Talked to the owner and he said their Philly Cheesesteak is actually their number 1 seller so I'll probably have to give that a try as well. read more

I love Jonuzi's pizza. Delivery is cheap, like $2. Pizza is greatly priced, especially given how much better it is and locally made, than the main pizza chains which run you around the same cost. The slices are super cheesy and taste perfect. I also love the garlic breads and the subs, the meatball parm is my fave. Tastes homemade imo which is awesome. And then the cannolis, ice cold and the perfect texture. I'm really glad I found this place. I eat here all the time now. read more

I really wanted to eat here after reading the good reviews. Sadly I didn't even get to order. I walked in to order a couple of pies for the family. However as soon as I walked in the place smelled like stale cigarettes. I mean it was nauseating. There was not one person eating in here. So either employees are smoking in the restaurant or their customers are but as I said the place was empty. I stood there at the counter and there was a man in the kitchen who I know saw me but didnt acknowledged me. Finally as I turned to walk out a lady peeks her out from the back and stares at me. I just wave and say no thanks and left. Felt like I was bothering them. So this is a "hole in the wall" mom and pop kinda place which doesn't bother me. And because of that I wasn't expecting someone to go out of the way to greet me. But what I cannot abide is having food prepared for me in a place that smells like a dirty ash tray. That's a health issue. That place smelled horrible. The strong smell of cigarettes is just a red flag. This didn't smell like someone walked in smoking. It smells like people are smoking and have been smoking for a long time. This is a hard review me for me especially since I can't review the quality of the food. Had I just ordered delivery I know this would be a different review I'm sure. However I can only go off my experience at this time. I'm NOT saying the do not have good pizza etc. I'm saying my experience was bad especially being a first time visit. I am not out to tarnish the name or the positive reviews. Tomorrow it may not smell like cigarettes who knows. But today it did and it just gave off a vibe I didn't like. I would like to try this place again and if I do I will be more than happy to provide an updated review good or negative. But for right now I have no plans to return. read more

I so wanted to love This place! I've heard so much about it and finally decided to check it out. The first thing I noticed when I entered was a very strong funky smell. It was almost like rave smell of the gym. I ignored that and ordered anyway... I couldn't decide what to get, so I went with cheese. While I waited, their "son" ran around the restaurant with only a t shirt on and went from table to table without any supervision. It was almost as if the patrons were his babysitter. He ran back and forth from the kitchen to the dining area and eventually came out with a ball of dough and had it all across the floor and tables. Eventually the lady came out and took him to the back, but the damage was already done. He had already rolled his truck up the arms of customers, through fits when he couldn't put his hands in their food... I get it, kids will be kids, but in a business this is totally unprofessional! I'm a mother, so I understand that some things are beyond your control, but this was too much! Now on to the pizza... Cheese pizza. Even after waiting it wasn't fresh, had enough grease to fry chicken and was cold. Again, I really wanted to like this place, but this experience literally Put a bad taste in my mouth. I really hate posting a bad review because I'm sure they are a nice family trying to make a living, but I don't have anything good to say about my experience. I ordered over the phone and was told it would be about 15-20 minutes. He was nice on the phone and took my order without any problems. We got there after about ten minutes and told it wasn't done, which was to be expected bc we were early. It ended up being 29 minutes after we ordered that it was done. Not a huge deal and they apologized that it took so long. The pizza itself we did not enjoy. We ordered a medium pizza with spinach, broccoli, and olives. The spinach was frozen and not fresh. I don't understand why restaurants put frozen spinach on pizza other than to save money. Gross in texture and taste. The broccoli was either also frozen or blanched and had no flavor. So disappointing. The black olives we ok I guess. Their cheese was average and crust just ok. The toppings were just so bad that we gave our pizza away and order Jimmy Johns. Again, I hate to say bad things about nice people but this was a really bad experience and waste of money for us. We will not be back. read more

So, it's a little plain looking, but the magic is inside. Excellent pizza, friendly staff, and fairly easy on the wallet. Yum!

I ordered pickup on a Saturday just after opening. The owner was very polite and the pizza was great. I got my order, paid, and was on my way within 3 minutes. The location is very small but there is plenty of parking. Point being, there is a park down the road you can walk while enjoying your big slice. Plus, you get to eat cheesy pizza in front of all the joggers. As for the pizza, it is the best Ive had in Denton. 100% floppy New york style pizza, floppy but not soggy. I just wish I was on that side of 35 more. Its located where Si'z used to be, off Teasley and Londonderry. Best of luck; sir, to you and your gorgeous family. read more

I love jonuzi's so much! I like to mix the ricotta and tomato bases, it is so delicious i highly recommend. I think this is the closest thing to NY style pizza we have in denton. And so few of my friends knew about this place when i started going! and a big slice is so cheap! the ONE thing i wish they would change is the spinach :( i wish they would use fresh leaf spinach instead of shredded and wet spinach. also, it would be cool if they had green olives. but the pizza is so tasty and the people are so friendly i prefer it to any other pizza in denton! jonuzis stan for life read more
