Today I asked for products that were on every end of the store. I asked for advice on fixing my hutch which has cracked wood. I don't know how the prices compare to a big box store, but I can tell you I'd rather pay a bit more to include helpful service so I don't care if PaulB is more or less costly. I appreciate the care.

Everyone either didn't have the exact features and color I wanted or had bad customer service (hello Lowes). This store is a good distance from my house but after emailing what color, features, and budget I had in mind their response told me it was worth the drive. They had three options in stock that met all my criteria, which considering I wanted black was a huge plus. Apparently other stores now consider black a custom order! Within 10 minutes I made my purchase and took advantage of their delivery and removal service, which considering I'm not in the same county was huge! My salesperson was very personable as well as knowledgeable and not pushing. He knew what I wanted and didn't try to steer me in another direction. Plus they had tons of different appliances in stock, many in black. He said they stock black always because of the huge Mennonite clientele they cater to. Next time something dies, which I hope won't be for awhile, I'll go there immediately and not bother to shop around. Sidenote: pricing was better than big box too, my new dishwasher, with new features, and a 10 year included motor warranty was $200 less than the old one was a few years ago!

Let me start by saying my 3 star review in no way means I wouldn't buy from Ashley's again, I just…read morewouldn't buy any of their couches or living room chairs. Let me explain...we went in to buy new loving furniture. We were looking for a couch and a chair in real leather. The sales guy we had, Steve was great. Once we finally settled on a couch and chair we were able to negotiate a better price for ourselves. It was great that they were willing to negotiate. Our furniture was delivered about 2 weeks later and upon close inspection I realized the couch had a small scratch in the leather and the chair and couch both had gaps where arm rest, seat and ack all met, leaving a whole you could see through and wide enough to get s fist through. I immediately notified Ashley and sent pics. Initially they tried to talk us into getting it fixed but we refused and asked for a whole new set which the agreed to. Got the new set about a week or so later and this time it was even worse. At this point we decided that it wasn't a fluke it was more of an issue with how Ashley manufactured their furniture. We went up and talked to Tim and explained the situation and upon looking at their other couches and chairs realized all of their stuff was this way. At that point we asked for a full refund. Tim was great and did everything he could to make sure we were happy at the end of the bad experience. They refunded our money in full and are picking up their furniture in the next week. We have bought a bed and a dining set from there with absolutely no issues. The fact that Tim offered such great customer service convinced us that we would still consider them for future purchases, just not living room furniture.

On May 20, 2026, I purchased a loveseat from Ashley Furniture. The loveseat was a floor model. At…read morethe time of purchase, the salesperson explicitly informed me that if I was not satisfied with the loveseat, I would have three days to return it. The office manager was seated nearby during this conversation and was aware of the terms that were communicated to me. The loveseat was delivered on May 28, 2026. The following morning, May 29, 2026, I decided that the loveseat was not suitable for my needs and contacted Ashley Furniture to arrange a return. When I spoke with the office manager, she initially informed me that the loveseat could not be returned. I reminded her that I had been told at the time of purchase that I had a three-day return period. She then stated that a return would be allowed, provided I paid a $150 retrieval fee. I agreed to the fee, and she instructed me to come to the store to make the payment. After driving to the store, I was informed by the office manager that the loveseat could not be returned after all because it was a floor model. She acknowledged that the salesperson had told me I had three days to return the loveseat, so she was aware of the conversation. If she knew it was wrong information, she should have said so before I made the purchase. The store manager then joined the discussion and likewise stated that the loveseat could not be returned. However, he also acknowledged that I had been told I could return the loveseat within three days. When I asked him directly whether I had been given incorrect information, he apologized and admitted that I had indeed been told I had a three-day return window, but stated that there was nothing he could do and would not stand behind their word. In addition, the delivery driver also informed me at the time of delivery that I had three days to return the loveseat if I chose not to keep it. As a result, three Ashley Furniture employees--the salesperson, the office manager, and the store manager--as well as the delivery driver, acknowledged that I was told I had a three-day return period. Despite these admissions, Ashley Furniture has refused to honor the terms that were represented to me when I made the purchase. Buyer beware, stay away from Ashley. They are not a company you can trust.

Went to look at it next morning, liked the washer, asked about delivery fees, and was told delivery (and set-up) was free! Even on their "seconds", delivery and set-up was still free, and not only that, haul away of the old one was included (even though it was in pieces, as I had investigated to see if it could be repaired). Delivery was set for 8-10 the next morning (!). The serviceman called at 805, and arrived at 815. 2 young guys, which was fortunate, as our washer is down a narrow set of stairs, into our low-ceilinged basement. I had everything ready for them, including removing the basement door, in the hopes of helping a little. With a bit of work, they first removed the old washer, and then, using carry straps rather than a hand truck, they were able to get the new washer down the steps (tight fit! about 2" of clearance) and into a ready position. They also installed new hoses (also free), and lifted and leveled the new washer on the cinder blocks we have as stands (our basement gets about a half to an inch of water, depending on how bad the storm), and made sure it was functional before heading off to their next stop. Very clean, quick, and professional! Was the best price I found, even after calling numerous other places (including the big-box retailers and so-called discount places). We are more than happy with our new GE washer (which has a very large capacity, even larger than our "max capacity" one they removed). Next appliance we need, guess who we're calling FIRST!!
