I try using them when I can. But they're not open much, so i end up spending my money at Home Depot.

I'm local to the area and use Tone Tailor often but not as much as I wish I could. There have been…read moremixed reviews on the personnel at the store but my experience has been they have always been friendly, and helpful. This is the chance that if you come in at off hours they are working on equipment and maybe focused on that. They are a smaller operations so the owner wears a number of hats. The hardware at the store has been commented on and for a smaller shop I think they have a great selection. On aspect not commented on was the lessons. The instructors they have on board know what they are doing and can work with everyone from the beginner thru advanced students. These aren't guys who yesterday were giving lessons out of the back of their Mom's apartment but rather are mainly gigging musicians who are augmenting their income via lessons. Most have formal educations in their trade. Final comment is on their repair services. They have in store ability to repair most equipment - none of this drop off you gear only to later find out it was shipped out somewhere to be worked on. You can get real time feedback on where it is at in the repair process. Only slight draw back is they are in demand so they may not be able to turn it around over night. Tone Tailors is the kind of store you'll want to go back to. It's interesting to see the musicians who just hang out there discussing the local music scene.

Since the item was so large, we asked for it to be delivered which was an 80.00 added fee. We told the saleswoman the width and depth of the shower that we wanted (having no idea that the base of the shower could be three inches high or 9 inches high). The sample tub shower on the floor had a 3 inch base, which is what we wanted as we did not want to have to 'step up into' the shower. The saleswoman did not inform us that there were two sizes of thresholds. The shower arrived with the 9 inch threshold. Our contractor did not notice the 9 inch base until after we had brought the shower into the second floor bath through the wall of our house as it would not fit through the doorway. The wall was already sealed back up when it was noticed. However the shower door that also came with the shipment was sized to fit a shower with a 3 inch threshold. So the shower doors rose 5 inches higher than the top of the tub shower. We also ordered the door in Polished Nickel. All of the hardware was Polished nickel. My fault for not looking at the receipt after we ordered; the hardware was Polished Nickel but the door was ordered in Brushed Nickel. Our contractor made the shower door work by building blocks between the door and wall, but the shower still looks out of place. When I called and spoke with the saleswoman she initially tried to blame our contractor for not reading the schematics correctly. Then she asked if we purchased the shower doors from Swartz. (Of course we did) When I asked for a possible discount on the faucets that we still needed for the vanity, she offered a very small discount (we got them at Lowes for way less than her offer with discount) She did not even offer an apology for the rather huge mix-up. Nor did she offer me the opportunity to speak with a manager about the issue. Nor did she seem to care at all about her failure to check her own measurements when ordering the shower doors to fit the tub-shower. So I wrote this review, which is a shame because they do have lovely items.

I was contacted by the owner and she apologized for the experience and mentions that it will never…read morehappen again. I plan on giving them a second chance by visiting them for our next renovation project.
