Stopped in and talked with Mark about the project and what I needed. He was excellent to deal with and helpful as I shared with him what I was doing. The price that he offered was very fair and he set up the delivery by giving me a close window to meet the driver at the site since I was not there at the time. He even called me early that morning to let me know that they had a call off, and that the delivery is going to be delayed by about 90 minutes. His notice gave me plenty of time to plan for the delivery so that I was not waiting around. The delivery driver was able to put all of the lumber inside an adjacent garage for me to protect it from rain. I will definitely call Mark again in the future for any building material needs and would encourage anyone in their area to do the same!

Drohan was not my first place to visit in my quest to find dry stacked stone material that matched…read moresomething existing I have at home. After visiting two other retailers, with one finding an exact match, I learned that there was so much more to this adventure than just finding stone. Delivery is also a consideration, as well as how they place the stone, which is something I hadn't thought of previously. I know consider myself somewhat educated. As far as delivery goes, in my situation, which a contractor on standby I needed someone who could provide a firm delivery date. Also, most retailers will "drop" the stone (meaning it gets dumped or slid off a truck and can/will break). While some will provide forklift service for yet an additional fee for gentler handling of the stone, Drohan provides crane or forklift service included in their $100 delivery fee. That combined with good customer service, the product I needed at a decent price, and ease of purchase made this a no brainer. I just hope the install of my product is as effortless! Some things to know: Drohan does not install these materials - which extend beyond rock, to brick and masonry supplies, patio grills and furniture, and other hardscaping materials and tools. They have an assortment of samples on various features (outdoor fireplaces/pits, patios, walls, etc) installed so you can see the final product. The stone yard has an abundance of materials to choose from, and you can choose and tag your stone pallet. Jaryd provided excellent customer service before and during the sale, and my delivery is on the books. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. So while I don't see myself buying stone/brick/block on the regular I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Have been here twice, once in 2009 while looking for molding with a specific profile, and again…read morerecently while looking for a porch piece which I really expected to find. It's hard to find them the first time as it's tucked in the back of homes and once you're there you might get confused as there are several buildings. The retail store is wedged in between the buildings and has a small, tight parking area for customers. Inside the staff sit at desks and very little is in the store to actually see but they do have catalogs they browse through to help you find what you need. The majority of the items they sell are wood based although they do have other products. While open to the public they seem geared towards contractors. While we were able to find the molding we needed many moons ago they did not carry the "rosette" piece I needed for my 100 year old porch. It seemed like an easy to find piece of wood. The piece resembles a pedestal, or trophy base. When I suggested that maybe a craft store would have what I needed they dismissed it. Little do they know I found exactly what I needed at Hobby Lobby!
