Just bought a large amount of lumber including 2x4's and 88 sheets of 4x8 7/16 plywood to finish a…read morenewly build pole barn in E-Town. Stopped in and talked with Mark about the project and what I needed. He was excellent to deal with and helpful as I shared with him what I was doing. The price that he offered was very fair and he set up the delivery by giving me a close window to meet the driver at the site since I was not there at the time. He even called me early that morning to let me know that they had a call off, and that the delivery is going to be delayed by about 90 minutes. His notice gave me plenty of time to plan for the delivery so that I was not waiting around. The delivery driver was able to put all of the lumber inside an adjacent garage for me to protect it from rain. I will definitely call Mark again in the future for any building material needs and would encourage anyone in their area to do the same!

(Something else the big box stores don't do) while Zack was taking care of that for me, I walked around the store once, and no less than 5 employees greeted me and asked if I needed help. FIVE!! Are you kidding me? This place is incredible!

Snavely's is located within walking distance of my home and over the years we've shopped here from…read moretime to time but usually end up going to Lowe's anyway. They keep strange hours and never seem to be open during our time of need or have the item in stock that we need. I don't know what the hours are but best to call first. I'm not sure what their specialty is but I would suspect lumber by the large open warehouses that surround the building. The retail store is small, but like Lezzer's have catalogs and will take the time to try to find something to fit your needs. Some hardware type materials are stocked as well. Everyone sits at desks. The retail space feels dated and during covid several of the employees wore their masks at their chin. I would say their focus is geared towards contractors. I wasn't able to find the porch piece I needed but in the past was able to score some drywall that looked like wainscoting. It was a discontinued product I was able to score for a decent price. If you live nearby it's a nice resource to have in your backyard but if not you'll probably end up at Lowe's anyway.
