The cheese pull was insane; the cheese just kept on coming. I kind of wish the hotdog was less bready though. I had cheese hotdog cravings to satisfy, and this hit the spot. There's no indoor seating, but there is a covered shed outside to eat under and there's typically enough space for everyone. The wait for the food was maybe 10 minutes long after I placed my order.
Cheddar cheese Hotdog (4/5) - $5.99 The Cheddar Cheese Hotdog was pretty good instead of parmesan there was cheddar cheese. It is not drying like other places. I would recommend. Chunghun(original) Hotdog (4/5) - $4.49 The Chunghun hotdog is the original. They both have a hotdog in it. It is very crispy and fluffy. The sugar is optional but I personally think it adds a great coating. Extras There are no seating You can choose the sauces of honey mustard, spicy mayo, ketchup and cheddar
The og korean corn dog place, the first Korean corn dog place I've went and have gone back time and time again
Let me just start off by saying it's a hole in the wall but totally a gem. It's def worth the hype! Korean hot dog goodness at its best. Went for the mozzarella cheese hot dog & also had the ramen dog. It was also convenient to order it on the kiosk and just wait for your order number to be called! 10/10
Such a hidden gem and not a long line at all. A simple menu of just either sausage, all mozzarella, or a half sausage and half mozzarella. I definitely recommend this place if you don't want to wait on a long line like other spots.
I'm obsessed and concerned of how obsessed I am with these damn corn dogs. I can have 100 in one sitting I swear. This spot does an exceptionally good job at making these crispy, fluffy and yummy. You'd be surprised at how many people fail at making this simple treat (including me, hence I leave it to the experts). And of course it cannot be compared to the frozen ones sold in hmart next door. Fresh is where it's at. No frills here, it's a delicious treat. Go get some dawgs.
O.M.G. I didn't think corn dog perfection in the US was possible until I came all the way to Flushing for Chung Chun Rice Dog. A few tips if you're planning to go: 1. Check the menu before you go. Our group got the original, ramen, potato, and sweet potato. You can't go wrong! My personal favorite was the sweet potato. 2. Find the ordering station as soon as you get there. Some people were confused about the line but everyone was just waiting for the food, not to place an order. 3. The inside space is super tiny. Be quick with your sauces (they have a few!) and get out ASAP so you can help move the line along. This place is insanely delicious, affordable, and the wait wasn't too bad when we went on a Sunday afternoon. One thing I regret is not trying one of the cheesy ones. Guess I'll need to come back soon!
The hot dogs and even the sausage in the volcano are mass produced and there's no snap when biting the protein. The volcano also isn't spicy which is disappointing given the superlative description. The flavor's fine though, obviously. But that's not enough to detract from the main attraction, which is the cheese. I started with the mozzarella and the cheese pull was over 2 feet long. It's like eating a jumbo XXL crispy mozzarella stick with hot dog flavoring. Following that ridiculous and surreal experience with a volcano and cheddar corndog made me feel like I was just eating (delicious) breading and a cheap hot dog. So, next time I'm ordering 2-3 mozzarella instead of a volcano or cheddar. If I were to compare this to other types of food in 2019, I'd say this is good not great (4/5). But this is as good as it gets for corn dogs, I think. Are there even other corn dog vendors in Queens? In 2020, when food is primarily delivered or takeaway, circumventing the need for sanitizer by eating food on a stick is fantastic.
Was going to Paris to get a cake when we saw a lot of people surrounding this place. We looked at the menu and left as the line was pretty long. After we came out of Paris there were still a lot of people waiting around the place and since we don't really come by here often we decided to give it a try. I like how this place have contactless ordering. There is a kiosk outside where you can place your orders and pay via credit card. Once you pay it dispense a number. You can clearly see the order number from the glass door so you know when your order is ready. People going in only when the order is ready. Everyone else waits outside until their order is ready. I like how this place makes the food as you order so it's fresh and hot when your order is ready. They also have condiments on the side (ketchup, mustard and cheese) so don't forget to dress your hotdog. We ordered the ramen noodle hotdogs and the mozzarella cheese hotdog. The hotdogs were really hot just out of the frier. The outside was crunchy while the cheese inside was melted. You really get the mozzarella cheese pull and it was like never ending sting of cheese. I personally think the mozzarella portion is better than the hotdog. The ramen noodle hotdog was good as well. The hotdogs have really good flavors with a hint of sweetness in the batter. Will definitely come back to try out the other hotdogs they have.
The corn dogs were delicious! It's perfectly crispy on the outside while not being oily and"fluffy" on the inside. That's the best way I could describe them. Because they are Korean style corn dogs, they're rolled in sugar, so it has that sweet and savory flavor profile. Which is different than your traditional style US corn dog. The place is very small. I love that you can order what you want from the ordering machine out front. Once you place your order, you wait outside until your number is called. When your order is ready, only them do you go into the actual shop. There are a few sauce/condiments options you can put on your corn dog. Like ketchup, mustard, cheese sauce, spicy mayo, etc.
This place doesn't have a sign but you'll find it by looking for a white kiosk and a lot of people gathering around it. You need a credit card to order from it as cash isn't accepted. Once you order a white receipt with a number comes out. You need to wait until your number is called. We waited as my friend wanted to get it as she saw it on tiktok so has been wanting to try it out. It was good and I recommend getting the hotdog one and not the sweet potato corn dog. It gets a bit messy as you can't eat inside and have to eat it outdoors while standing. If you're into trying a korean hotdog I suggest it.
Hits the spot! Was waiting for a K-corn dog place to open in NYC area! It was all the rage when places like this opened up in LA a few years back. This place is in between the Dakgalbi restaurant and Paris Baguette in the Hmart plaza. There is a sign over the door but not over the building, so look closely. There will be a small crowd of people waiting for their orders in front of the restaurant. Walk to the front to the electronic kiosk, stand in line, and order electronically. There is no worker helping take orders- it's just the machine. Your order can be taken in both English and Korean. CARD only!! Then wait. I was #25 and the number displayed as being ready for pick up was #16. It took approx 25 mins for our order to be ready. Walk into the restaurant when you see your number, and pick up your corn dogs. They will already have sugar sprinkled on them (in the traditional K-dog way). There are squirt bottles of ketchup, honey mustard, and cheese sauce you can drizzle all over the food before you walk out. We ate our corn dogs in the car. There was an amazing cheese pull and it was crunchy. Probably better not to wait too long before eating these. I liked the original cheese and the original hot dog the best, but my husband loved his ramen and potato dogs a lot.
I thought it weird at first-not your usual hot dog on a bun. But my wife wanted to try it out. So I went along. We ordered on a screen outside and waited for our number to pop up. I ordered a cheddar cheese filled; she ordered one covered with fries/potato. And they both worked surprisingly well. Mine was super crunchy on the outside, with a gooey layer of cheese between the shell and the actual dog. Very good. And her dog with the French Fries on the outside also worked really well. Hot dogs and French fries, together. Hot dogs and cheese, together. They work. Glad I tried it.
OMG this place is sooo good! I don't even really like corn dogs like that but watching so many mukbangs and k-dramas made me wanna try these Korean ones. Ordering was easy through the kiosk. We got the mozzarella, volcano (spicy), and the sweet potato with mozzarella dog. All of them were sooo good! The volcano wasn't spicy at all but it was still enjoyable. I'd have to say my favorite was the sweet potato because I love anything with sweet potato. It was a bit hard to eat though but so worth it! Everything was coated in sugar which sounds weird but I think it balanced out the savory flavors. Also, they were huge and very filling. And the cheese pull is no joke! I'm deducting one star because it took 35 mins on a Sunday afternoon to receive our order. I like that they make it fresh but it really shouldn't take that long...I see hotdogs/corn dogs as a fast convenient food item so I wasn't expecting to wait that long. I mean, I can get a whole restaurant meal for less than that time! Also, the dude working the counter had his mask under his nose...Other than that, their corn dogs are bomb! read more
I never saw a lot of places that serves korean hot dogs and I finally got a chance to try it! I like that you can order from a kiosk and it's so easy. It's a small shop so when your order is placed, you just have to wait outside. It's not a long wait either; maybe about 10 minutes? The hot dogs come out hot and fresh. They have a few sauces on the side so you can put on as much as you'd like. I love how the batter to hot dog proportions were perfect. Not too much batter, not too much hotdog. They add a little bit of sugar on top and it gives it a great balance between sweet and savory. It was also so crispy and it's a great snack to have in the middle of the day. Definitely will return more often! read more

These hot dogs are truly something heavenly. Some think of Mac and cheese or ramen as comfort food. And don't get me wrong, I do as well. But whenever I think about these hot dogs I'm filled with warmth and happiness. Also from my experience these are not dripping with grease upon receipt which is great, despite that it is indeed fried dough and starch wrapped around cheese and meat lol. Sweet potato with all mozz - 10/10, great cheese to batter ratio imo; the sugar is a wonderful added touch Cornflakes with half dog half mozz - 10/10, superior crunch, yet how do you best a 10/10?! (I add spicy mayo, mustard and ketchup on top of all of them) Those two are my go tos but next time I'll be trying maybe the ramen with cheddar dog. read more
My first experience with ChungChun Rice Hotdog was in Toronto I fell in love that I went twice during my 4 day stay. So I wanted to try New York's location since it was closer to me. Food: Gamsung - Potato hotdog is my fave usually I love the potato on the outside so crispy, but at this location it is a bit bigger than normal. Experience: You order and pay from a kiosk which was really cool, then they give you a receipt with a # and the store front shows the # that is being served. When called you go in, choose your sauces then walk out! Con: We got 5 korean corndogs for 5 people, they gave it to us in a box.. when I asked for singular corndog holders she said no. But that's unfair because we all wanted to put our own sauces on, some people don't like ketchup etc. Also the selection of sauces and seasonings were limited compared to Toronto's location! Overall: I would recommend everyone who is craving Korean Corndogs to try ChungChun! read more
This spot does one thing and they do it right. I've tried other Korean corn dogs that didn't really taste like anything or meet my expectations. These were so good! I love that you order outside on the screen and only go in when your number is on the wall. You also put on your own toppings once you're in. I really wanted some good Korean corn dogs (rice dogs) since they became so popular and now I have a place to go to and recommend people to! read more

This is a pretty smaller place than I expected it to be, but it doesn't distract you from the fact that they sell the finest corn dogs. One original is $3.00 while others may vary depending on how many toppings you apply. There's also a computer outside where you can order without going in the place (kind of like McDonalds). The best. Incredibly quality corn dogs. Whether it would be sweet potato, cheese, sausage, ramen, etc, the outside of the corn dog is super crunchy. The potato, sweet and salty. The sausage, salty but adds the perfect touch with the sugary coating. The ramen, crunchy and amazing. The cheese... oh the cheese... so stringy and smooth. When they are hot it tastes like your buds are on fire. You will realize what I'm saying when you actually try it. I've gone here countless times and ate these corn dogs so much I don't even remember how much I did. Beware though, there are a lot of people that order throughout the day. Hence, the corn dogs might take a while to make even if you may just be ordering one or two. So in the meantime when you wait, you can go somewhere else and maybe get a dessert from Paris Baguette or a drink from Hmart.I speak for everyone when I say this... COME AND TRY THESE DELICIOUS CORN DOGS!!! read more
This place is DELICIOUS and absolutely worth it. Fairly priced (paid 16 bucks for 4 corn dogs) and friendly service. The wait was a bit long (about 20-25 minutes - it was a Sunday) but it's definitely worth it (you have to wait outside until your number pops up on the screen). Comes out hot and fresh. I tried the original, ramen, and potato. There are different sauces you can top them with as well. They are also dusted in sugar which works really well with the savory corn dog. Will be coming back soon!! :) read more

Best corn dogs by far! Used to go to Basac for corn dogs, but this place takes it. Come get these corn dogs if you want some extreme cheese pull. I got the regular mozzarella corn dog and the sweet potato mozzarella corn dog. Like damn, they were generous with that sweet potato coating because I felt like I couldn't even lift it. Anyways, both of these were delicious! Love the sweet and savory combination of the crust and the filling. I wanna go back again! read more

Easy idiot proof ordering system and a delicious portable and surprisingly clean tasting and not greasy for a deep fried donut or zeppole type batter around a super crunchy and coated exterior. Cheese is gooey and just the right amount of tang but super satisfying with the vegetarian options but the hot dog tasted beefy and delicious to put these bad boys over the top. Sleeper hit, didn't even use ketchup or mustard! I had the Ramen dog, the Cheddar cheese and hot dog filled one, and two potato crusted cheese logs and I forget the last one but all were bomb or fire or whatever these kids say these days. read more

I got a potato corn dog and cheese sausage and corndog. Delicious, I'm so glad they opened a place like this here in Flushing. One of the best corn dogs I had, brings me back to when I got sugar coated corn dogs in Korea. This place is a must! read more

Second time at this place already! It's a small hole-in-the-wall place with two people working inside and it's actually connected by a door to the Dakgalbi place next door. Both times the wait was fairly long (even on a Tuesday evening) so be prepared. But they have tickets and a number board inside so you could sort of guesstimate how long it'll take and then wait in your car as most do. (Second time I went, a worker actually put a 45 min wait sign on the glass probably because they had to fry a new batch.) Also the touch screen kiosk outside is simple to use and makes ordering pretty smooth. I have only gotten the half sausage, half cheese hot dog and it never disappoints. The cheese though is amazing and you can't beat that pull when you eat it quickly after getting it. The potato fries one is pretty good too (friend got this one!) and the full sausage one seems to be made with a beef hotdog, so it's a bit saltier and flavorful on the inside. For the sauce you can squeeze in the store, you can choose between ketchup, honey mustard and spicy mayo. They have ketchup and yellow mustard packets to-go as well. For those that don't know, Korean "hot dogs" come dusted in sugar so expect a little bit of sweetness on the outside. My friend was thrown off and actually didn't like the sweetness too much but I like that it's dusted and not rolled in sugar. read more

The original hotdog is the best out of all the ones I've tried. We tried original, french fries, ramen, and cheese. They had side sauces such as ketchup, honey mustard, cheese, and chili Mayo. The two sauces that went really well were ketchup and chili Mayo. They have a kiosk outside for ordering, no cash accepted so make sure you bring a credit card. read more
YESSS, farewell to the nights where I'm scrolling through IG or watching a mukbang and drooling over cheesy corn dogs that weren't readily accessible locally. If you couldn't tell already, I'm ecstatic that they finally opened a store in NYC that specializes in the Korean corn dog (a popular Korean street food). This spot is so new that it does not seem to have any media following yet but I'm sure it'll be a hit once word gets out about their cheesy corn dog goodness. The corn dogs are made to order so they're guaranteed to be hot and fresh. It's perfectly crunchy with a chewy dough and nicely coated with sugar. There's quite a few variations - ramen coated, sweet potato or potato coated, cheese only, hot dog only, or both to name some. It's a tiny shop where you place your order outside via a touch screen kiosk and pay by card. When it's ready, you'll see your order number pop up on a little screen by the window. Head inside to pick up the corn dogs and top it off with your desired sauces (ketchup, mustard, or a cheese sauce). Do note that there isn't much of a waiting area as you'll be standing in the parking lot but we didn't have to wait too long and everyone was wearing their masks and socially distanced. read more

Wooooow this place is amazing , saw the long line outside and glad I did because otherwise I would have missed the place ... it's located betweeen a few restaurants so it's easy to overloook if you aren't very observant .... I tried the Ramen hot dog and the potato hot dog ! What a treat! I wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the ramen hot dog the crisp ramen went very well with the hot dog and added plus .. there was also sugar sprinkled on it ! Was a nice surprise considering how big of a sweet tooth I have . The potato one in my opinion didn't compare and is a lot heavier in comparison... I prefer the crisp of the ramen opposed to the potatoes which were too soft for me .. I went around 5pm on a Saturday and there was a little bit of a wait maybe 10 mins but not too bad! Definitely recommend this place !! read more

My wife was watching a YouTube video about Korean hotdogs the day before and had a craving for it. So today we decided to come here to satisfy her cravings. If you ask me the jumbo was the most worth it for me. It even costed less the the one with a potato crust. But my wife really enjoyed the mozzarella cheese one. As you can see from the pictures the cheese was melted perfectly and was very very stretchy. We also opted to put sugar on all of them just to give it that extra kick. For those tho are worried about Covid they have a kiosk where you can place the order thus limiting human contact. Also the workers here wear masks and gloves 24/7. If you have never tried a Korean hotdog before this would be a great place to start. read more

Ahhh so good. Korean corn dogs. is different from American corn dogs. It's more chewier and crispier. If you really really love cheese, get the sweet potato mozzarella one (there's no hotdog in it). read more
ChungChun has the best Korean hot dogs in NYC. They're reasonably priced, offer a diverse range of options from sweet potato, cheddar cheese, ramen, and do not skimp out in size or portions. I went at night and unfortunately, they were out of sausages so we got the sweet potato mozzarella ($5), cheddar cheese hotdog ($4), and all mozzarella ($4.5). All dogs are made to order so you know you're getting the best quality. Don't expect any seating as this is a grab and go or grab and stand type of situation. Other places in NYC that serve hot dogs spike prices because of the novelty and low supply, but ChungChun has come to the rescue! read more
This korean corn dog place is the best! You order outside, and wait for your number to be called. They sell a variety of corn dogs such as hotdog w/ cheese, sweet potato coating, fries coating, ramen coating, etc. The prices are very reasonable, and if you order multiple there is no need to worry about getting them confused. The sticks are color coded on the bottom to let you know if there is cheese or not, it also color codes based on what type of corn dog you ordered. On the side you can add ketchup, American melted cheese, or mustard. Overall the tastes of the corndogs are so good, and very comforting. Highly recommend ChungChun Rice Hot Dog if you want something quick and hot! read more

This was a spontaneous visit and I left extremely satisfied! The place was a bit hard to find but it was located in the strip mall across from the jongro bbq spot. It's a small hole in the wall with no seats. Ordering is so easy since they have an electronic cashier where you can order a variety of rice hotdogs. They make them fresh on the spot so it's a few minutes of wait but it comes out piping hot. There's a variety of sauces (ketchup, honey mustard, etc.) you can add on top. The only complaint was that we got the sausage with cheese and the cheese was on top and sausage on bottom. I thought every bite would have both cheese and sausage. Regardless it was a cheesy gooey inside with a chewy yet crispy casing. I can't wait to go back and try the other types of rice hotdogs!! read more

First thing I loved about this place is that the ordering is contactless through a touch screen panel outside store which reminds me a lot of Asia. It's a great touch especially during covid. I highly recommend the sweet potato dog but all of them have very fluffy batter. All the sauces are self serve I go for the honey mustard and sugar! There are few places that sell the Korean corn dogs so I love that there's finally one in queens. read more

Kinda quirky as far as corndogs go. Got the ramyon noodle chips and mozzarella cheese. Both were unexpectedly dusted with sugar. I like sweet and salty in general but I feel like they might've been better off sans. The mozzarella cheese was stuffed with cheese on the top half then dog of the bottom. Another surprise that left me wishing I was able to enjoy hotdog and cheese in the same bite. The batter on both were great with the ramyon chips a nice touch. read more

I always go to Jongro hotdog because I like their hotdogs, but this is the first time I ordered and hair came out of the hotdog I got. At first I thought it was my hair but as I tried taking it out it started coming out from the batter. It looks like there were at least 4-5 pieces of hair in the hotdog as well. I was very disappointed since this has never happened before. Please I hope this doesn't happen again. read more
My fiancé insisted on coming here to bring some corn dogs back for my niece who briefly brought up that she wanted to have some. A small spot located next to a restaurant and near Paris and HMart, it's the perfect location to pick up some goodies, all in one spot! You order via the kiosk and wait outside until your number is called on the screen inside! We ordered 10 total and had to wait a bit since everything is made to order. The concept of their corn dogs is fun- there are various "toppings" like potatoes (fries), ramen, or different sausage flavors- spicy, jumbo, reg. We got a number of different ones but tried the potato, volcano and regular. It was fun to eat off the stick and it tastes great. They sprinkle sugar in some- dont understand that but I personally don't think it made it taste better or made it taste bad? As someone who don't crave for this snack offer , it was nice to try out and I'd recommend it but probably won't be back for a while! read more

I've probably seen pictures of these hot dogs about a million times and I just had to have one. So I happen to search on yelp and this place happen to be close by and luckily for me I was able to finally get what I have been dreaming about lol... I was a little confused at first because they have a kiosk for you to order from but after watching the first 15 people in front of me I felt I was a pro but unfortunately I became more confused because there were so many great options to choose from. I ended up choOsing 2 because I just had to try more than one. They were really delicious surprisingly they sprinkle sugar on them but you don't taste the sugar at all it's a perfect mix read more

Great concept!! Order outside thru the screen and pay by card, than get a receipt with your order number and wait till your number shows up on the glass and you walk in. I got the sweet potato corndog. It was nice and hot and has a sweet taste, more on the soft side. Also I got the big size dog. Also had a sweet taste which I noticed they sprinkle sugar on them after. They have ketchup, mustard, mayo and cheese sauce to put on them. Will try different ones next. read more
