Pretty solid place to get Korean corn dogs. Nothing special or fancy. Was pretty disappointed by the crepe. Not as neatly done or aesthetically pleasing like other crepe places. I also felt that for the price point, it would have come with something more than Nutella, fruit, and whipped cream. Service overall was fast considering all the customers coming in.

I ordered the original corn dog with sweet chili sauce and it was so good! The batter was crispy and crunchy on the outside but soft and slightly chewy on the inside, which I love, and the hot dog was juicy and tender too. It wasn't heavy or oily at all. The sweet Thai chili paired perfectly with it, so much so that I'm still thinking about it as I'm writing this review and I want to go back soon.

Another relative late night in Flushing and we were looking for someplace that was still open at 9pm. We saw that food hall at Tangram on Prince St. closed later so we headed there. There are quite a few vendors here to choose from and wanted something light and chose CrunCheese. The mozzarella and the sweet potato Korean hotdogs were crunch and pretty good. Service was efficient,. Lighting is dim and there is a decent amount of seating. The Tangram has restaurants, a movie theater, OrangeTheory and also host pop up stores. A good place to get a bite.

Tangram Food Hall is really where it's at. And although they deserve their own stellar review, I did not want to shout them out here as well. All types of food and drinks, and centrally located in a great part of the neighborhood. It's definitely a spot to check out if in the area. CrunCheese's specialty are their Korean corn dogs which I am always down to try from different spots. I ordered the original half mozz and hot dog which is my usual go-to. Corn dogs are made to order so it takes a while to receive your order. When I did get it the cheese wasn't fully cooked and was solid in some parts. This wasn't terrible as it still tasted good. The hot dog was just OK, but the outside was tasty. You're allowed as many topping/sauces so I tried the honey mustard and roasted garlic, which spruced up the hot dog. The other highlight of this spot in the food hall is the lemonade drink they offer on their menu. Super tasty and not too sweet. I am a sucker for a good lemonade so these are dangerous!

For $5 or so, I got their original beef hotdog. It does take some time as they are freshly frying the hotdog, but I didn't realize how long it would take and I wish they said to come back in 5-10 minutes or something. It may take longer if there are more people who ordered in front of you. Various sauces and toppings to put on. I got ketchup and honey mustard, but you can't really control how much they put on unless you tell them beforehand. I felt my hotdog had too much sauce on it. Was good to try for a first time. This is conveniently located in Tangram's food court, so can act as a quick snack. I can see lines getting long here if you come on a busier day.

Located inside food hall of Tangram mall. First time visit. Hot dog price ranges from $5-$7 each. 12 different sauces such as ketchup, ranch, mustard available. We bought the jumbo beef corn dog for $5.39. Tasted ok. Nothing wow. Customer service is so so. A smile or thank you should be basic customer service. Wait time is reasonable, knowing it's freshly deep fried.

Located inside the new Tangram Mall food court. They sell Korean style hot dogs. Unlike regular corn dogs, the batter is made with rice flour, is dairy free, lighter and crunchier. We ordered their Potato Hotdog ($5.99) and one Original beef hotdog ($3.99). This was their only second day in business and it looks like some kinks needs to be ironed out still. It took them a couple of tries to make my order. The first time they fried the Potato Hotdog, half of the batter slid off the hot dog and fell into the deep fryer. After starting over, they were finally able to cook my order properly. Then I was asked what toppings I wanted and I told them sugar and sauces (garlic parmesan and sweet chillies) on the side. There are twelve different sauces available to choose from. Both hotdogs were really good. My favorite was the Potatoe Hotdog. The added potatoe pieces gave it a lovely crunch. I wish they hadn't rolled it in so much sugar as it became too overbearingly sweet. In other restaurants, they sprinkle the sugar on the hotdogs right after it's cooked instead of rolling it in the sugar. I thought the prices were more reasonable here than in most places I've been too. Next time I'll probably just go with classic ketchup and mustard for the toppings. And I realty want to try their squid ink mozzarella hotdog. I don't think I've ever seen that in any other place. Tip: during their soft opening weekend ( Dec 17-19) grab a hotdog and get a free drink

Half Mozzarella / Hotdog: $4.99. Super-stretchy mozzarella top, half hot-dog on the bottom

BLUF: 3.5 stars out of 5. Soft opening; yet to reach full potential. Plenty of customizations available. CrunCheese Korean Hot Dog seems to have originated in Las Vegas, and has come to Queens at a new stall in Tangram Mall. We visited shortly after their soft opening. We've had better Korean-style corndogs, but CrunCheese is still tightening their operations before an official grand opening. We tried: - Half Mozzarella / Hotdog: $4.99. CrunCheese mentioned that this was their most popular "starter" hotdog. This hotdog stick is comprised of super-stretchy mozzarella on the top that makes it entertaining to eat, and half of a hot dog on the bottom. - Potato Hotdog: $5.99. This was too starchy and dry, like overdone French fries, but I can see how a well-executed version would appeal to French fry lovers. A significant part of the corndog experience is determined by the choice of sauces and seasonings. CrunCheese offers four seasonings -- sugar, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, and a chili powder; and eight sauces -- ketchup, mustard, honey mustard, cheese mustard, garlic parmesan, hot sauce, sweet chili, and ranch. - Mango Lemonade: $2.99. - Strawberry Lemonade: $2.99. The lemonades were good; sweet, but not excessively so. CrunCheese says that their line of five lemonades are organic. While the mango and strawberry lemonades are visually differentiated by color, they would be difficult to distinguish by taste. Tangram Mall provides restroom facilities and complimentary VPN-friendly Wi-Fi.

This was my first time trying "Korean hot dogs". Actual, corn dogs would be more appropriate. They put a hot dog on a skewer and deep fry it with a batter coating. However, unlike the American kind, these are made with a rice flour coating. This spot has a very creative variety of dogs available. You can get the hot dog coated with mozarella, potatoes, cheddar, or with only the coating and no hot dog at all (for vegetarians). Then, you can choose one of four seasonings that they will sprinkle on it - sugar, cheddar, chili, or parmesan. And you can choose from a variety of sauces - honey mustard, ketchup, hot sauce, ranch, and more. The dogs here are very crispy and definitely a nice, starchy treat!

I would like to think that I'm a K-dog connoisseur who ventures out of her way to taste all of the corndog spots. Newly opened in Tangram, I ordered my usual fav, the potato mozzarella corndog. The batter wasn't toooo thick, and the mozzarella had the great texture for an ideal cheese pull. I especially loved all of their sauce choices, and I opted for the jalapeño ranch which I haven't seen before. A GREAT COMBINATION! The owner/manager was really great too.

Located in tangram mall's food court. This is a great addition for someone looking for a savory and sweet snack that's filling. The menu has the staple assortment of choices and a squid ink option! I got the mozz/hotdog and the taste and texture is comparable to jongro and oh-kdog. Topping with sugar is a must and they have many sauces to choose from, my go to is always ketchup and honey mustard. There is also a QR code at the counter to order online that gives you 10% off!

Food (5/5): Got the original, squid ink, and mozzarella cheese hot dogs. All were crispy and quite good. The cheese was super fresh and had the quality pull effect. They did a good job of putting very flavorful sauces. Venue (5/5): It's a nice, clean food court with plenty of seating areas and bathrooms. Looks modern. Service (5/5): Food came out fast and the server was helpful and friendly.

I'm personally not the first to get this but my kids love it so here we are. I was the first order right before 12pm and it took about 15 minutes for the order to be ready. I watched them prepare and my guess is that the wait time was for the oil to get hot. Was concerned about the cleanliness as I observed a rag and large white container placed on the same area next to the hot dog that was waiting to be dipped. Since its deep fried, I had hoped all germs were fried away. Writing this a week later and we are all feeling good with no tummy aches. The cashier is nice and patient. Informative on how long it takes and updates us without asking. Once orders are ready, they check your receipt and you get your tray of fried goodness. Comes with mustards and ketchup for the mozzarella hot dog. The outer layer is fried well with a good amount of batter and while the exterior looked tough, it was easy to eat.

While Smorgasburg is up to.... what, $20 a plate, that same amount can get you 3-4 tastings from a variety of stalls here that are all more authentic and tasty than what the former can really offer. First visit of the year here so I had to go all out with my buds and we got a Brazilian Steak Sandwich, Pork Intestines (my personal fave), Chicken Curry Roti, Jerk Chicken, Pork Belly, Cheese Stuffed Plantains, Fujianese style Pork Ribs, Vietnamese Lychee Coffee, Pakora, Polish Sausage, Octopus Skewer, and Passionfruit Juice. Overall, most everything was quite good and shoutout to my two favorites that I always get every visit, the pork intestine skewers and the passionfruit juice. I found it incidentally online looking for things to do in Flushing, since I was taking my mom out there in the morning for Dim Sum, and just stumbled across the night market. It's so amazing. The whole vibe is great, as is the authenticity and variety of the different food stalls. The people working them have to be from the represented culture and no item can be more than 6 dollars. Heck, even the tall boy of excellent local beer was only 6 dollars. The Night Market stall also sold a cookbook signed by the creators of the market, and I bought it. The recipes are incredible. Not the sort of Manhattan street fair with a few gems but otherwise a lot of sausage on a stick, Egyptian cotton sheets, and funnel cakes, but a real international experience. Had bison chile frybread, a burmese styled quesadilla, skewers of lamb, the list goes on and on. I can't wait to go back. I've been gushing about it to anyone who will listen since I went for their soft opening. And the location in the park is awesome too.

I ordered a premium beef with sweet potato topping and a hibiscus refresher to wash it down. Service was quick, as no other customers were present and it hadn't even reached noon. The corndog and hibiscus refresher were served promptly within 5 mins. The premium beef tasted like a regular hot dog to me. It just didn't taste like it was 100% beef and had more of an Oscar Meyer beef/chicken/pork mixture taste. Moreover the corndog topping was pretty disappointing as the sweet potato topping was soft and not crisp while the corndog topping below was a little mushy and the hot dog itself had no snap of a solid casing. Their menu advertised that the up charge for sweet potato topping was $1.50 (in actuality, it was $1.90) plus they would discount $1 when purchasing a refresher in addition to a corndog; there was no discount applied to my order. On top of that, I had asked for no ice in the hibiscus refresher (as it was 49° outside today and nice and cool inside the food court). The lady behind the counter filled up the cup about 3/4 of the way stating that they usually put ice in so it wouldn't be strong. I said that it was okay and that I liked it strong. Despite that, she didn't offer to fill it up all the way. Customer service was lacking.
