I have a difficult pool. My house is on the side of a hill and dust and leaves are a problem, not to mention the age of the pool. The system is newer, but the drop in itself is old. I pay a bit more for service because of the issues above, but the customer service Jonathan's provides is worth every penny. He answered my call, and gave me a few minutes of his time as I asked him some questions. He was able to fit it in pretty quick, and he came out & replaced the pump. Called to repair a couple of leaks in my pool equipment. They were able to come out quickly to evaluate the equipment and communicated predominately through text message. It took longer to set up an appointment for the repair than the evaluation, although it was still a reasonable time frame. They weren't able to fix all of my leaks however, and said they would get me a referral for another company that could. The cost for the repair seemed on par with other companies I've used in the past. All of my interactions leading up to my pump replacement were professional and courteous. His prices were reasonable and honestly about what I had thought things would cost. We rather suddenly experienced a leaking and very noisy pool pump. The installer has also been the weekly provider of regular pool maintenance. We called them, and they were very nonchalant and told us the pump seals have likely failed and that we would need a new pump/motor, because water got into the shaft of the motor. They told us all this w/o ever sending a tech out to check. Moreover, they wanted to install same type of pump as the one that prematurely failed. That's when we opted to bid adieu to the company and find someone else. Through Yelp, we got names of several (~6) businesses. Three of them took our calls and said they would come out and look and provide estimates. Despite me having to call them a 2nd time, they never came through, so we simply axed them from our list. No need to plead with a business to come out and give an estimate. Either they are interested in providing a service or they are not, period. In contrast, Jonathan, from Jonathan's Pool Solutions was immediately responsive, and he promptly came out to the house for a hands-on inspection of the system. He provided written estimates for both repair and replacement, w/ no sales pressure to do one or the other. Our choice, 100%. Since NV is headed towards lower electricity usage, we went with the replacement, swapping our failing 1-speed pump system with a smaller, multi-speed system which he recommended based upon the size of our pool. Jonathan worked with us to find a time slot for the job that worked for us. He was on time. The job was done in a timely manner, and no mess. The price for the hardware was fair and reasonable, as were the charges for the installation labor and materials. Jonathan even took away the old hardware. After the install, he gave us a tutorial on the operation, and phone/email contacts in case we had any questions or if issues arise going forward. This review is long overdue. Jonathan knocked out a list of pool and spa repairs in a jiffy including leaks from the pool motor housing water outlet, the valve for the drain, spa jets that didn't work, and he spent a couple hours troubleshooting the gas pool heater. Who invests their time this way these days? Most service repair would tell you to replace it and make a quick buck. But, he wanted to exhaust all remedies and truly took the time and care to investigate and diagnose the issue. They simply don't make them like Jonathan anymore. He's honest, hardworking, fair in his pricing and incredibly competent.
