We came since it's close to my parents new place and the swimming pools both inside and out are impressive given it's a local rec center. I've been going to the Henderson Multigenerational Center since I was about 10 years old, and it's still one of my favorite community spots. I grew up going to summer camps here, and now I bring my daughter for swimming lessons--it's such a full-circle experience. Every visit has been incredible, whether as a kid or now as a parent. Even though the building has been around for a while, it's kept in great shape. The ambience is clean, welcoming, and family-friendly, and it really feels like a space for the whole community. The staff has always been amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which makes every experience that much better. One of the biggest pluses is the value. They offer so many activities at a really reasonable price, and this is definitely the place to find more discounted programs compared to elsewhere. Update for those over 55, I was advised that using the indoor walking/jogging track was free. If you need to use the gym or cardio equipment, then you must pay the monthly fee which is a little over $10 which is very reasonable considering what the commercial gyms are charging. Agree with previous reviews about staff being less than pleasant. The desk staff and managers are young and their customer service seems inexperienced leading to less than perfect satisfaction. First time visiting Henderson Multigenerational Center, it was humongous and clean. I liked the indoor rock climbing wall they had. Great indoor pool and two game machine inside. They even had Senior center in the corner left side. I used to rock climb so I'll come when I want to rock climb again in future! :) read more

I can't tell you how much my kids and I love this place. We have been coming here for years and have taken multiple classes. It has been a godsend during the hot summer months and a good place for family activities. My daughter has taken multiple cooking classes with Ms. Cupcake. Everything she has cooked has been yummy and easy to replicate at home. Ms. Cupcake is so friendly and makes classes fun for the kids. My daughter has also taken writing/math classes and ballet classes with Ms. Kerry. She has the best patience with the kids. And it has been awesome to see my daughter break out of her shell in ballet. My son is older and has attended numerous classes as well. He's taken karate with Mr. Daulhaus. He's fun but stern at the same time. My son also enjoyed swimming lessons and cooking classes. And since my son is older, he does Battleborn Kids over summer break. They keep the kids occupied with lots of activities over summer break so they aren't just stuck at the house. All the staff members have been super great and friendly. The Henderson Multigenerational Center has been a great spot to bring my daughter for cooking classes. Classes through the city for kids are one of the best kept secrets. The city website for searching and scheduling classes is rough. It's worth the battle for the large selection of reasonably priced classes though. I can't say enough good things about the cooking classes we've been taking with Mrs. Cupcake. We have signed up for every session since August of 2022. My daughter really looks forward to her classes and they are enjoyable for me too. We started with Disney Story Cooking. It's an hour of cooking, hearing a story, and eating our creations. Now we're in Disney Coloring so the kids color while our food cools. Cooking classes with a toddler in someone else's kitchen are the best. Mrs. Cupcake is so organized and breaks the recipes down so they can be easily made by 3 and 4 year olds. Everything we've made has turned out great and been delicious. I keep a folder of the recipes and we've enjoyed making some at home too. Mrs. Cupcake is so patient and kind with the kids. Parents too. She is accommodating as some of us have younger kids we need to bring with us. Classes do book quickly. If you have a class you want then watch for the dates that registration opens and enroll right away. I can only speak to cooking classes, but there are many great options here for little ones. read more

We went here for a presentation and walked around after. Very impressive. They seemed to have just about everything. An inside pool, basketball courts, pool tables and foosball tables, an indoor track. They told us the prices but I have forgotten but seemed very reasonable. Some of the gym machines in the fitness room are a lil worn. I generally enjoy my time being there though. Although, there's this one janitor named Henry that's been bothering me. He doesn't seem to speak english, so he uses Google translate on his phone. Lately he's been waving and following me around. This review only pertains to the outdoor pool area. It's a toddler haven. The water slide is pretty big for a toddler but you have to be at least 42 inches tall to ride. They do not allow the kids to wear life vests or floats on the slide and they have to be able to swim to the side unassisted. The water features are pretty neat. They don't have a ton of outdoor shade so when it gets packed your SOL or you can bring your own. Outdoor food, drinks, coolers are allowed and some people bring pop up tents. $5 for adults, $3 per child is the cost. read more

We come here for karate for the past few years and love the facility. It's 98% clean most of the time. I've only had one or two "eww what in the..." moments here in the changing/shower bathroom. Other than that they keep it pretty clean. They have tons of activities that we have yet to personally try. They've got swimming (indoor & outdoor), cooking classes, there's a gym, basketball court, rock climbing, ballet, and more! I'm only bummed about how they don't let anyone go on the track upstairs anymore unless you are scheduled or are supposed to be there. Which makes sense and it's been that way since Covid. However, I always did like just being able to walk/jog around the track while my kid was in karate. It beat just sitting on my butt waiting. However, I respect it and have learned to just find other ways to pass the time while he's in class. Speaking of class, I like that his karate class is open to all ages & that it's see through glass walls so we can sit outside if we choose to and still see our karate kid doing his thang. read more

The place is nice however staff is extremely unwelcoming. The two teens working the front desk seem to not like their jobs. The second lady we talked to also seemed very uninterested. The interior has recently been updated, new floors and such. It looks a lot nicer and cleaner. My daughter has taken many classes here and she always loves them, it's just they fill up so quick if you don't jump on registering right away. All the instructors have been super. The outdoor pool in the summer can be quite chaotic and there's so many people. The indoor pool seems to be a little colder than other indoor pools. There's lap pools inside and outside. There are also two high diving boards and two low diving boards outside. I enjoy walking around the indoor track. On certain days of the week you go one direction and others you go the opposite direction. There's 3 lanes, 2 for walking and one for running. It can get frustrating when there's a lot of people on the track, seems like they try to race you sometimes and it becomes a competition with strangers to get around the circle faster, only to circle around again. Almost been hit in the parking lot a few times so be careful. There's extra parking across the road. read more

6/12/19 I took my toddler to the outdoor swimming area today when it opened. She had a great time. There were so my children in the pool area by 1:30, so we just decided to leave early. I noticed there were six to seven lifeguards at all times monitoring the pool. The only down fall on our visit was the staff at front desk gave us the wrong direction, then another member gave us the wrong direction to enter the pool area as well. Finally a cleaning crew service man gave us the correct location on where to go. Thanks to him. BTW, there's parking right in front of the pool. That would be the quickest way to enter instead of entering the main building. Anyhow, as far as the facilities...very clean and much larger in size and services provided compare to the other rec centers in Henderson. read more

My 10 yr old daughter works on her swimming skills in Stroke school and My 7 yr old son likes ping pong and foos ball. Kids pay $5 a year for a card to check out the paddles for ping pong and the foos ball table. Don't lose it because it's $5 every time you need a card. They have tables throughout to sit and do homework with the kids and free public wifi. We also regularly use Kids Zone when the kids are out of school. It's $27 for drop in days and around $100 for the week. This is also available at other Henderson Recreation centers. We just love it here! read more

In the 17 years I have lived in Henderson, I have taken many classes at this Multigenerational Center, which is walking distance from my house. In 8th grade I took Yoga and Dance classes, which were both fun back then. Recently, I took a Spin Class every Monday and Wednesday and a Pilates class every Tuesday and Thursday. They both have helped me improve for future classes. I looked into another Yoga class for the season but it conflicts with my work schedule, sadly. read more

For $2 you get a year-long pass to use the indoor track and the pool tables and ping pong tables. My family has the swim and trim pass, I'm not sure how much that was, but I'm pretty sure it's cheap. The place is clean and doesn't reek of sweat or chlorine like some clubs do so that's a plus. They offer a ton of classes, especially for little kids, at a cheap price. The one bad thing is that you can't pay to use the rock climbing wall because of the budget cuts, they couldn't hire anybody to be in charge of it, even though it's still listed as an activity in the Summer 2010 parks and recreation catalog. :'-( read more

This was actually the highlight of my last Vegas trip I know, not the gold, not the girls or the alcohol but the one day to really unwind here and get to use the facilities here. I loved the pool tables, basketball courts were amazing. it was cool on a 97 degree day. My friends and I loved it coming here. I had not really been hitting the gym lately so I had the best time ever grabbing one handed rebounds with my old and new friends, showing them I still have some BASKETBALL game left. My jumpshot was still really nice. I hit a lot of three pointers and my team won more than 80% of the games we played here. It was really relaxing, I mean we could have been stuffing our face again in a buffet that day but this really worked. it is the best place to visit, leave the strip next time you are in Vegas and drive over here. Have never experienced pool shut down due to chemical imbalance Seek off peak hours to swim: M-F 5:00 -2:30 pm is pretty good 6:00 pm - closing is usually primo. Upstairs has a suit spinneret but this locker shower room is poorly organized... Mothers drag in small boys and give you dirty looks if you shower naked . Seriously water drainage in downstairs showers is poor. Activity pool noise and crowds in summer attending activity pool are best avoided. Hopefully the new water park in town will start getting most of the local traffic. Kids from activity pool crash lap swim lanes in summer- lifeguards don't enforce the rules. Indoor pool is a chlorine kid screaming screech dome- avoid Unless this appeals to you, you're deaf or have Aqua iPod to drown out the racket. It's warm water in the indoor pool which is great for small kids, elderly - if you seriously swim it's just too warm. Overall, the outdoor pool needs floor work, stains and drains cleaned of gum. There is an indoor track, basketball court, ping-pong tables, pool tables, and they offer many different types of class such as dance, self-defense, cooking class, etc. There is also a rock climbing class that cost $2 a climb or an all day pass for a small fee. Whether you want inexpensive workout facilities including a spin class room and both an indoor and outdoor pool, or you want to take classes such as drama, foreign languages or computer programming the activity list spans several pages. Located next to Paseo Verde Library and the Pavillion, the Multigen center is also where you can pay your safekey charges. My daughter takes drama classes there and we are very pleased. They have plenty to offer as far as classes and exercise programs for all ages. My favorite class I've been going to here so far are Hot Hula Fitness classes. Fun and energetic! It is a core cardio workout to drumbeats. They offer this class both morning and evening times. Classes are held in the aerobic room. It is huge, has a cool view of the Vegas valley, well ventilated, and the acoustics from the sound system is good, music can be played loud but it doesn't interfere with other classes next door and vice versa. What's cool you can also drop in and try out different classes here if you don't want to sign up for a full session. The rec center itself is pretty impressive looking inside and out. The inside layout is a semi circle shaped with the rock wall as the main feature when you enter from the front entrance. I have yet still to utilize the indoor track, indoor pool, fitness center but intend to when I sign up for the Healthy Henderson Fitness Program. A big plus they keep all these programs affordable for residents. Only negative is the parking lot is not large enough to accommodate this busy center. read more
