    Grass with tree for shade

We love this pool with tots area and "big kid" slide. A bonus is the grass with lots of trees for shade.

Beautiful cts w rec ctr. Theres an outdoor outhouse by cts but u can always go into rec center. Parking right next to it. On a weekday afternoon it was empty.

    Pickleball courts

They have Pickleball! The courts are outdoors and at the end of the parking lot. It's well lit for evening games until 10PM. The courts get pretty packed some evenings. I am one of the Racquetball players that has transitioned to Pickleball in COVID times since it's an outdoor sport and pretty quick to pickup. If you play Pickleball too message me for a game! Never played? Check out a few you tube videos pick up some paddles and start hitting around. It's easy to pick up and addicting. By the way inside the rec center is good too and they have Racquetball and Basketball courts.

Has many activities to do! Updated beautiful interior. Staff is easy to work with if you have questions.

I was assigned a new shift and can now take advantage of the classes the Rec center has to offer for my toddler son. I love it here! The classes are so reasonably priced and they're educational and resourceful. My son is retaining so much from his karate class and from the colors and shapes classes. It's the perfect amount of fun and structure to prepare him for school in the new few years. I've been so happy with the front desk staff, the teachers, the facilities, and the cost. Feeling super thankful that I have availability to these now and recommend that if your on the fence with bringing your own child... bring them! You won't regret it.

Water works. Great place to take your children or grandchildren like I did. For a low cost of $3.00. They can play in the water all day.

Great place to bring your children on a hot day in Vegas. The cost is low. And they can swim all day. Bring your own food because the food there is very expensive. Family-oriented place. Lots of fun.

Let me start off with I LOVE swimming!! I'm a total fish! So when we moved to Henderson, a couple years ago, my husband informed me of ALL the public pools in the City of Henderson! Black Mountain Aquatic Complex is only open from around Memorial Day to Labor Day-ish so when it's open you might not want to miss it. If you have children of any age this place is a great way to get them out and in the sun for a reasonable price. They offer lots of lawn chairs, tables and grass for you to sit on or picnic. They allow you to bring in ice chests and your own chairs if you want. People even have birthday parties at the pool. The Black Mountain pool has beach style entrance and then gradually gets deeper. They have a sectioned off area that goes to about 4.5 ft deep for swimming. In the shallower area they offer a water jungle gym which includes a little slide and fire hose you can turn up and down. There is also a much larger slide that you can go on if you are over a certain height and can swim on your own. One of my favorite parts besides the nice salt water pool is the Snack Bar! They must put crack in their Diet Coke 'cause I crave it from there all winter long! I can't wait to have one next year! They do have a great selection of stuff if you decide not to bring food with you. The hot dogs are decent and even their turkey sandwiches aren't that bad. I mean we are talking about a snack bar at a local pool. I enjoy there nachos. They are horrible for me, but for a snack I enjoy them. They are simple, just tortilla chips, nacho cheese and jalapenos (upon request). The snack bar also offers ice cream, candy, dill pickles, string cheese and chips. Everything is very reasonably priced. I look forward to the pool opening back up in the summer. I love to sit out in the sun there and sip my diet coke! Then take a dip in the pool! Ah, that sounds nice!

    Doggy play and paddle...great event!

Great little neighborhood pool with waterslide. For $5 a dip, you can't go wrong. Summertime just the way you remember it.

The staff has always been amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which makes every experience that much better. One of the biggest pluses is the value. They offer so many activities at a really reasonable price, and this is definitely the place to find more discounted programs compared to elsewhere. From fitness classes and pools to kids' programs, you get so much for what you pay. Overall, the Henderson Multigenerational Center is a gem--nostalgic for me personally, but also such a reliable, affordable, and enjoyable place to bring my daughter. Highly recommend it for families and anyone looking to stay active in a welcoming environment!

The amenities that it provides include outdoor swimming pools, tennis, events & activities, a dancing room, and more. It also provides the needs of my recreation, which is hiking. The Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds is connected to the Pittman Wash Trail. It is at my favorite location along the Trail where a picturesque landscape of mature trees provide a canopy of shade throughout the year. At this scenic spot, the Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds extend across Pittman Wash to the amphitheater and Pittman Wash Overlook. Here, hikers are able to ascend down a trail onto hiking trails that follow the meandering wash. Oftentimes on my Pittman Wash Trail, I have turned onto the short walking path between the swimming pools and tennis courts then crossed Silver Springs Parkway into Silver Springs Park across the street. In reality I have been here more than six times. Walking through Silver Springs Park, which I would count as a recreation center amenity has extended my time in the Henderson Great Outdoors. From my visits to the Silver Springs Recreational Center, I discovered that the restrooms are the cleanest restrooms along the Pittman Wash Trail. I am impressed by the high standards of cleanliness in the restroom and throughout the facility. If only Yelp Tips was still around I would of posted this. Recently, after hiking along the Pittman Wash, I found out that they have vending machines. This was very beneficial when I developed a deep thirst on the hike. The $3 bottle of Coke was a lifesaver. The reality is that there is a long distance from the beginning of the Pittman Wash Trail in Arroyo Grande Park to Pecos Road without proximity to cold beverages. Again, I will say "If only Yelp Tips was still around." Before voting on this review, let me bring up "voting." I have early voted here twice during the past two President Elections. My observation is that the Election aspect was managed well, where finding a parking spot could be a challenge. The parking lot here is relatively small to accommodate Election voting and events. I have seen it fill up to the point where people park across the street in the Silver Springs Park parking lot. On the aspect of voting, I will close off this review by casting a vote of Four Stars for the Silver Springs Recreational Center.

The splash pad here is one of the largest splash pad at Henderson parks. It is spread out to give kids plenty of space to splash and play. It has a variety of features too. I love having all the open space to let my toddler safely run. A lot of people bring blankets and hang out or have a picnic. The playground is good for about three years and up. A lot of the climbing features would be too big for really little ones. There are also two big slides in the side of a hill. There aren't any swings at this playground. There is a large covered pavilion area in between the playground and splash pad. It's large enough to be rented out for two different parties. We attended a toddler birthday party here and it was a nice space for that. The city should put up signs that the pavilions are paid rentals though. My friend arrived to find a party happening in the area she rented. The other party didn't know rentals were to be arranged through the city. She felt bad and gave up some of her rental space because she didn't want to ruin a kid's birthday party. Another cool thing about Mission Hills is the shaved ice truck that has a permanent spot when it's hot out. How perfect to be able to grab shaved ice when playing in the heat.

Chunks of hair in the sand get caught in your toes. Disgusting. We ordered lunch pool side. When I ordered our food, I asked the server to make sure we had cutlery with the meals so I could cut up the food for the little kids. Was delivered without it, so I asked the man who delivered the food to bring some over and he never did. Waited 10 minutes, asked our server and she never brought it over either.
