Henderson Parks & Rec - if you're in charge of this place you dropped every ball. If this is Clark County, that's par for the course, unfortunately. The manager, Avery is very angry at people and seems not to like her job how is she a manager and the whole diving board rules is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. She said we can't do flip off with the diving board because we don't have health insurance when we all do and that doesn't make any sense. Why did you build a board knowing that people may not have health insurance? If I can get this place is zero stars I will give it a zero stars Avery go back to flipping Berger's at the McDonald's because this is not for you. This is a beautiful state of the art facility. I love coming here to swim laps three days a week. It caters to every swim level. There are some very good swimmers. There are also people walking back and forth in the shallow lanes. People who come here are eclectic, all sizes and shapes with no shaming of any kind. read more

Love this indoor pool. It's very spacious. The room is kept warm, and the water is perfectly chilled. Over 10 lanes with plenty of room to swim! Front desk staff doesn't really acknowledge you which is fine. The locker rooms can definitely be improved. I have seen the same dirty pink razor in the locker room for the past month. There is always hair on the walls in the showers and the curtains always look like they're about to fall apart. They definitely need some custodial TLC ASAP. It's really surprising to see the lack of attention over the pandemic. One time while swimming in a group, a lifeguard (older white gentleman) leaned over to tell my friend that he sucked at freestyle and should do breaststroke instead because he clearly wasn't fit enough. Our coach went over to give him a piece of her mind and he barely even cared. read more

They make up rules and they change as they go but don't enforce others. There are children in life jackets hopping over lane divides and splashing around while adults are trying to lap swim but they do nothing about it. (I'm all for kids having fun but there is a family side and separate pool for that.) The life guards are not in proper gear. Wearing t shirts and shorts with tennis shoes is not what I would call "Proper attire" for a life guard who should be ready to jump in at a moment's notice without worrying about their shoes and shirt before getting involved in an emergency. We love this pool and travel from across town to go here. Mainly this is because they have diving boards. Normally during open swim there are two board available. One is only a few feet up and the other maybe 10 feet high. The pool is big, heated but not tub water heated more slight chill but refreshing. You can also rent a lane or go in the smaller kiddy pool that is very warm. For 4 dollars a person it's not a bad way to start a Saturday. Just check for open times before you go. read more

This place is awesome. I don't even think awesome covers it. They do start swim classes/drills at 4pm. That's when it gets chaotic. Children 2-3 years old are $1 for swimming, and anyone else is $2. When we walked in, it was practically empty (around 3pm). My daughter (1year) and I were able to get in the first two lanes (3-5ft deep) and splash around. THe only awkward thing, was when we walked in they were playing "sexual healing". Not really what I want to swim to when there's a man in his 70s right next to me...haha. 5/7/15 Prices have gone up $1 for adults. It is now $3 instead of $2 to swim. Nice facility with great diving boards and platforms. Decent amount of affordable swim classes. I would say that you get what you pay for with swim. One of my kids learned a lot because she had one teacher for the whole session. My other child had a different teacher every week and learned nothing because they played games and get to know activities every week. Staff is very nice and helpful though. read more

I love this place. We bring our daughter here for swimming lessons and she absolutely loves it. Its an indoor complex and the H2O is always a heated perfect temp all year round! We've been to the pool over at the multigenerational center near GVR which claims to be heated and maybe it is heated a little but still really cold when you get in. Heritage is a little ways from where we will in Henderson but I don't mind driving a little more distance when she enjoys the swimming lessons and does not have to worry about getting hypothermia! read more

This is my favorite pool in Henderson. The pools are not chlorine, they are sodium or something that is much nicer on your eyes and skin. There is a smaller, shallower heated pool for kids. There are several diving boards. The facilities are always clean. There are family changing rooms with showers and suit-dryers. There are plenty of lifeguards. The learn to swim kids' lessons are great, very affordable ($30 each) and the instructors work hard to connect with the kids. My children have seen very quick improvement with these classes and love them. They lose a star for the weirdest schedule ever. Who closes the public pool at 3 pm on Saturday? That's right when my kids have finished their chores and homework and are hot, and we are all ready to swim as a family. All the pools in the city close at 3:00. Seriously makes no sense. Also half the time the diving boards are closed for no apparent reason -- last time the deep pool was empty but they had decided no diving except on Sunday's. read more

So, I swam a few laps in this pool today for the first time ever. I really don't prefer indoor pools, but this one was just fine. I usually swim laps at Henderson Multigenerational Aquatic Complex, which is a beautiful outdoor competition pool. The one thing I definitely DO NOT like about Heritage pool is that it's CLOSED between 11 and 1 on weekdays. I just don't get it. These two hours are prime time hours - like lunch hours when people would normally take time to exercise - like swimming. read more

So started my next when it comes with my racing/endurance goals. I meet my new swim coach here at Heritage Park Aquatic Complex since she lives nearby. It the swimming pool she normally uses on regular basis. It literally on the opposite end of town for me. Once you get inside realize it worth the drive way on the outskirts of Henderson/Boulder area. It was my first time swimming at this pool. I normally go to Multi-Gen or Dessert Breeze. Each one really has it own personality. Heritage would say the same. Unlike the other pools the lap lanes the whole thing is nine feet deep. So when looking down it much different perspective not that concentrating on the bottom of the pool. It all about stroke technique, kick, and getting faster. Since it so deep they even has this lip that you can put your feet on at the end. Along with your normal lip that water flows over can hang on for break. It very well light for indoor pool more so then Dessert Breeze. The staff is awesome. The gentlemen was great being my first time explaining me the fees and the best time come or not busy can get your own lane. Second pool never bothered walk all the way down for aquatic classes. The times for classes not sure but they have brochure at the front desk updated and take on your way out. The locker rooms are all clean. Nice and well maintained. The only problem would is on the opposite side of town and if not for my swim coach would swim at pool closer. If live in Henderson or Boulder City great place get your laps in. read more

My favorite place to do swim lessons for the kids because it is not as busy as some of the other rec centers. The kids get full access to the pool and great attention from the instructors. Love this place! They have so many great options here. Let me start with the locker rooms. Heritage Park has several locker rooms. One is a family locker room with two private changing rooms and a bunch of lockers. They also have a regular Men's and Women's locker rooms. Lastly, they have a whole separate ADA locker room for the handicapped. They have something for everyone! Next is the pools! They are amazing. They have the Competition Pool that goes from 4 ft to 13 ft deep. The Competition Pool also offers diving at certain times. Heritage Park Aquatic Complex also has a water walking or Instructional Pool that is kept warm all year around. It goes from about 3 ft to 4 1/2 ft. They offer ramps and guard rails for easy entrance. They also have kick boards and water weights available for everyone to use. I love that feature. They offer a range of classes that you can sign up for. You can check them out online, in the Henderson Happenings or just ask the front desk person. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I enjoy swimming as my favorite exercise so the fact that they are open year round and heated is great! It's reasonably priced. If you get a punch pass it saves you a lot of money. Even if you just want to splash around the water walking pool its a great way to relax after a long day and get a bit of exercise! read more

This morning was the first time I have ever been to this or any aquatic center since moving to Vegas 4 years ago. Up until this point, the only pool I've been to had a bar and lots of drunk people, all located on the strip or in the vicinity LOL. The other day (per my recent review on REI) I bought my swimming gear and I needed to test it out at this pool. I really enjoy this area. Around the corner is the Bark Park I take my puppy to every week and down the road are two schools and a recreational park. Driving around this area is safe and the neighborhood is super safe and full of life. As for the pool, I enjoyed myself. You can buy a punch card and get 30 punch increments. I bought 60 punches for $36.00. All adults get 2 punches for every visit. I really like the fact that I can take this punch card to any public aquatic center in Henderson and they will honor the punches as well. Super versatile, as there's another one close to work (Henderson Multigenerational Pool). At this location, there are a lot of lanes to swim laps in. I visited this center at 7am. It quickly filled up by 7:30, however, everyone seemed to stagger in, so there was always a few lanes available. I also enjoyed the fact that there were 4 lifeguards on duty and each lifeguard stand had a new lifeguard in it every 10-15 minutes. In terms of the swimming experience, lots of room in the lanes. I also like the fact that they have a huge bin where you can use zoomers, buoys or kickboards to tailor your workout. The locker rooms are clean and spacious and the indoor facility is heated. This appeals to me a lot as I love swimming during the winter months. ***Please be aware that busy times, as stated by the greeter, is from 2pm-7:30pm every M-F. Anytime before 2 and on weekends aren't busy. I did go yesterday to pick up the punch cards and noticed that the pool was completely filled with children at swim practice and parents in the stands. At that time, it was 6:30pm on a Wednesday. The front clerk also said that once in a while, they will host a meet and that will cause the pool to be full on the weekends. Amazing swim instructors here. The classes are $36 dollars for 8 lessons, Monday through Thursday for two weeks. My kids have always been in small classes. Two or four kids total. And they max it out at 6. I can't say enough good things about Alex and the other staff here. Looking forward to continuing lessons year round here as its 10 minutes from our house! read more

Our normal Deep Water Exercise classes has been ongoing for years. Same time 8am-9am, same area! Today there was a synchronized swimming class in our DWE area. Apparently their class was scheduled (7am-11am) over our time. A lot of unhappy DWE participants and a very frustrated instructor as we had to exercise in half of the amount of space for the 12 swimmers. Some days even having the whole area we normally have is still not large enough. Although it is was cool to watch the synchronized swimming after our class, it was distracting during class. In addition to inconvenience of the synchronized swimming class, the warm water therapy class began (8:45am-9:45am) with their music blasting over the music from the synchronized swimming class making it difficult to hear our instructor yelling out her exercise routines. This eventually lead to our class agreeing to end class 10 mins early and add 10 mins to our Wednesday class! Hopefully we'll get the space back on Wednesday. It was a very bad decision on the part of the administration to schedule the synchronized swimming over our DWE time without discussing with the DWE instructor! read more

I have lived in Henderson Nevada for the last twelve years. My favorite place to go used to be the Henderson aquatic park. I say "used to be", because they have changed. they no longer allow the diving board to be used when I have access to the park. and are now closed on sundays. this is outrageous to me. my tax dollars are being used to fund something that my family and myself have zero access to. I work ten hours a day, five days a week, sometimes more. I will be searching for a way to rectify this situation. read more

This is a really nice pool. And super cheap! We weren't greeting when we entered. But we were a large group. This is more than your local pool. They have built a community with events that are affordable for the older population. The depth of the water was impressive in the lanes. I wish I lived closer so I can visit more often. read more

very nice - sometimes crowded on fridays for team events and practice. music is good - plenty of parking. BUT i do wear eye gear, as uncovered eyes get a film or something after about 20 mins. I don't wear contacts, and I have blurry vision for about an hour after getting out of the pool. I do shower. I've asked via feedback cards, but they are neglected. read more

This is an aquatic complex that is open year round since it is indoors. Very, clean and well maintained. When you walk in to the right is staff members who you pay to swim. In the lobby there are tables and vending machines and there is a party room if you want to book a party with them. There is a family entrance with lockers and a mens and women's restroom. If you choose not to enter by the family you can enter through the women or the mens locker rooms (make sure you enter which sex you are - lol) There are lockers in here with showers and an entrance to the pool area. There is an olympic size pool and a smalled pool. What I like about this place is if you need to get a life vests or floaties they have them available at no charge. In the smaller pool which is around 4 feet is where they offer swimming lessons for the little ones using 1/2 the pool and the other 1/2 of the pool is for open swim. Adults can swim laps in the olympic pool. There are even more restrooms and showers near the smaller pool with bleachers so you can watch. This is a very nice facility. My daughter has taken 4 levels of swimming classes and we have been to open swim twice and we have enjoyed every minutue of it. I am considering having her party here next year. This facility is well run and is another wonderful thing that the City of Henderson has added to the community on top of the beautiful parks. We love living in Henderson. read more

Great facility for my son to play Water Polo but a long drive from Summerlin

I have visited this pool facility on a few occasions and give the facility 5 stars; however, most recently I witnesses a couple of situations, which I feel require your utmost attention. (1) I was appalled that a child, prob no older than 3 with a floaty apparatus being left unattended at the opposite end of the dive area after the parent left her there. This child, even though attended by an adult sitting on the side and in full view of lifeguards also was allowed to jump off the side at the dive end right next to the lower diving board with the parent sitting on the side. This has always been prohibited and strictly enforced by lifeguards except for this situation. (3) A couple of kids swimming at the patio end of the deep pool with the lifeguard focused entirely on the diving end and totally ignoring the other end. A couple of suggestions: (1) A lifeguard stand situated at the END of each pool, creating a full view of what is going on at each. The fact that a lifeguard class and all the equipment were in session at one lane of the shallow pool does not prevent a lifeguard stand to be placed at the bath/shower end. The same for the deep pool. A lifeguard stand could have been put at the opposite end of the dive area, thereby covering the whole pool. An ounce of prevention. Do these lifeguards need some extra classes to remind them of what their duties are and the seriousness of what faulting one minute can do? Thank you! read more

The warm water of the therapy pool was very therapeutic and good for relaxing and unwinding.

Paid for swim lessons and half way through the program they don't have enough teachers to have one for my son so they combine him with a younger class. I'm told not to worry the teacher will work at his level... Well so far he's been getting worked at the younger level (never accessed or discussed with other teacher) when they have him float it is now with floaties (when he was doing a fine job learning without), they no longer work on his diving they just have him pick up the dive toys from thigh deep water, and then they've spent a lot of time changing his hand position when he glides (because this teacher prefers his hand be one inch higher than the other teacher he had), and when they do anything with practicing his strokes or kicking the teacher is using a float to pull them around instead of when his other teachers actually had him practice with nothing. I have no confidence that he'll be swimming better in the last half of class than he was after the first half in fact I'm guessing he'll be back to panicking when he tries to back float without floaties again. read more
