I grew up going to summer camps here, and now I bring my daughter for swimming lessons--it's such a full-circle experience. Every visit has been incredible, whether as a kid or now as a parent. Even though the building has been around for a while, it's kept in great shape. The ambience is clean, welcoming, and family-friendly, and it really feels like a space for the whole community. The staff has always been amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which makes every experience that much better. One of the biggest pluses is the value. They offer so many activities at a really reasonable price, and this is definitely the place to find more discounted programs compared to elsewhere. From fitness classes and pools to kids' programs, you get so much for what you pay. Overall, the Henderson Multigenerational Center is a gem--nostalgic for me personally, but also such a reliable, affordable, and enjoyable place to bring my daughter. Highly recommend it for families and anyone looking to stay active in a welcoming environment!

Proceeding Check-in #6 to the Silver Springs Recreational Center, I will share my thoughts. This is…read morea City of Henderson Recreational Center tucked in the Green Valley community between the Pittman Wash Trail and Silver Springs Park. The amenities that it provides include outdoor swimming pools, tennis, events & activities, a dancing room, and more. It also provides the needs of my recreation, which is hiking. The Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds is connected to the Pittman Wash Trail. It is at my favorite location along the Trail where a picturesque landscape of mature trees provide a canopy of shade throughout the year. At this scenic spot, the Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds extend across Pittman Wash to the amphitheater and Pittman Wash Overlook. Here, hikers are able to ascend down a trail onto hiking trails that follow the meandering wash. Oftentimes on my Pittman Wash Trail, I have turned onto the short walking path between the swimming pools and tennis courts then crossed Silver Springs Parkway into Silver Springs Park across the street. In reality I have been here more than six times. Walking through Silver Springs Park, which I would count as a recreation center amenity has extended my time in the Henderson Great Outdoors. From my visits to the Silver Springs Recreational Center, I discovered that the restrooms are the cleanest restrooms along the Pittman Wash Trail. I am impressed by the high standards of cleanliness in the restroom and throughout the facility. If only Yelp Tips was still around I would of posted this. Recently, after hiking along the Pittman Wash, I found out that they have vending machines. This was very beneficial when I developed a deep thirst on the hike. The $3 bottle of Coke was a lifesaver. The reality is that there is a long distance from the beginning of the Pittman Wash Trail in Arroyo Grande Park to Pecos Road without proximity to cold beverages. Again, I will say "If only Yelp Tips was still around." Before voting on this review, let me bring up "voting." I have early voted here twice during the past two President Elections. My observation is that the Election aspect was managed well, where finding a parking spot could be a challenge. The parking lot here is relatively small to accommodate Election voting and events. I have seen it fill up to the point where people park across the street in the Silver Springs Park parking lot. On the aspect of voting, I will close off this review by casting a vote of Four Stars for the Silver Springs Recreational Center.

As crazy as it sounds, I had never been to the pool until this year--and I'm so glad I finally checked it out! The pool area is beautiful with a modern, relaxing vibe, and the staff has always been friendly and welcoming. The first time I visited was on Mother's Day, so it was extremely crowded and the service was a bit slow, which was understandable. The second time, though, the service was excellent, and the staff stayed on top of everything. The food was really good, although it is on the pricey side. This past weekend was my first time here for a friend's birthday party. One of my friends reserved a cabana and I think it was about $500ish food and beverage credit to reserve, which isn't TOO bad because you spend that quick. We did a few pitchers of mixed drinks which were about $60 each and it goes quick. The guys did a lot of buckets of beer for $50. The cabana area is nice and has plenty of seating, though when I think of cabanas at pools, I think of private, secluded areas with a safe to put your stuff, a TV in there, etc. These are more lounge cabanas, as they aren't private or secluded and you can see what the cabana next to you is doin. They do have daybeds that you can also rent or just regular seating at the bar area or lounge chairs. There also isn't any private restrooms for this pool, so you do have to leave and come back in in order to go to the bathroom. The pool itself was pretty small, so when a lot of people get in there, it gets packed pretty quickly haha but it had a beautiful waterfall! I don't think they heat this thing at all haha. It was COLD even for an over 100 degree day. When the sun went away, I got out cuz it was just a lil too cold for me (I know, call me crazy). I thought it would've gone away but all weekend I woke up to the blaring noises of the highway. That was so rough. 2) Small inconveniences - as where to put my toiletries in the shower, the shower style allowed for water to go everywhere, the sink leaked when the water was shut off, it just seemed not thought out at all and a lot of maintenance issues. 3) The air conditioning was on point when we came in, nice and cool. But the last day it didn't seem to work at all, barely blowing long enough so the room wasn't cooled completely. I was super hot the morning we left. 4) We felt like no one was around. They said we could purchase breakfast however no one was ever around to seat us. It was a complete ghost town. The fountain wasn't even running and a lot of lights were off all the time. Although some of the art was gorgeous and the place obviously has potential - the work should be put in before charging the insane amount to stay. Let's start from the beginning, shall we? I had just given birth to my third child when my sister…read moreconvinced me to enroll my two-year-old in the "Parent & Tot Tiny Tumblers" class--which sounds intimidating, right? At the time, he was mostly non-verbal and had an intense fear of new people and places. After just a few days of what felt like pure torture--filled with non-stop tears and screams--he turned three. At age three, the kids graduate and you get to send them off to "Mr. David's Tumbling Tots." Once again, I was convinced to sign my boy, Jaxson, up. This time, it was two days a week of intense, fear-fueled tantrums. After eight months of private therapy with absolutely no progress, I was desperate. And Mr. David kept telling me, "Keep coming back." Two sessions, eight weeks, twice a week... it got to the point where other parents literally asked for my schedule so they could enroll into the opposite days. And then, Jax touched the mat. He didn't actively participate right away, but simply touching that blue mat freed mommy from the back pain of standing for 60 minutes--or playing a real-life version of Where's Waldo. (A part of me still wonders if he genuinely forgot I was hiding behind that mat, or if it was all part of his plan.) Fast-forward to the present: Jaxson is now four and a half years old, and he is the most talkative, confident, and highly coordinated little man in town. He has truly blossomed, and I owe that recognition entirely to Mr. David. After seeing Jaxson's incredible progression, I enrolled my other two "gremlins" as well. I truly cannot rave enough about how amazing of an instructor he is. Watching their confidence skyrocket, their strength increase, and their behavior improve made me think, "Hey, I could use some of that." So, yes, I joined adult gymnastics! If you are reading this and contemplating coming to this rec center, look for me. I'm the woman on the floor, or the one chasing a little blonde, curly-headed girl around who constantly gives me a run for my money. I will definitely convince you to join. By the end of a session, you honestly wonder what kind of magic Mr. David possesses to get twelve three-year-olds to actually listen. It comes down to the immense effort, compassion, and time he invests in each child. It is rare to find someone who puts their entire heart into what they do. As long as you take your child consistently, they will blossom too--I promise. My children and I are living proof. Since I am now here five days a week, I have met the entire staff, and they couldn't be more welcoming. They are genuine, good-hearted people who make the atmosphere a thousand times better, especially when your kids are acting like... well, "little angels." To me, Whitney Ranch Recreational Center has become my second home. Being here brings me so much joy, and I am incredibly grateful to have found such an amazing program and community.

Jason started off well, but over time, the service became increasingly inconsistent. He charges $160/month and $85 for filters cleaning. He allows for 4 missed cleanings a year for emergencies. He missed over 14 scheduled cleanings last year and 5 this year. That's nearly one out of every three weeks -- a pattern of unreliability, not just a fluke. In the last three weeks of service, no one showed up at all. I later found out the technician had injured his hand, but he never contacted me to inform me or to reschedule. The pool sat dirty and unattended -- and I had no idea why. Then, to top it off, Atomic Pools tried to charge me a $160 early termination fee -- even though they stopped showing up and never communicated and showed a lot of attitude. They offered to clean pool free for the next month or two but I don't want the hassle particularly after the snarky texts tell me "good luck bro". I switched to email only when our phone call got argumentative because he would not refund me. I then receive letter that I am threatening him (?) and ceased all communications. He just wants the $160 for not working. I found another company for $120 that had not missed a cleaning in years from my neighbor. I expected better professionalism and basic communication. If you're looking for consistent, reliable service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Too much drama here.
