Stay away--sales-driven company with terrible weekly maintenance…read more I hired Priority Pools based on their high ratings, and over the course of more than a month under their care, my pool was green with algae. Key Issues: Constant Upselling: Right after onboarding, they tried to sell me unnecessary overhauls--including a new saltwater cell, completely missing that my pool already had a one-year-old salt system running. Poor Tech Knowledge & Reporting: The technician assigned to my weekly route didn't speak English, which doesn't have to be a problem, but he didn't seem to know I had a saltwater pool despite my messages to the company and they assured me that he was aware. Weekly reports lacked basic chemical breakdowns and only provided a photo of a meter. Weeks of Ignored Algae Blooms: Despite multiple messages alerting them to worsening algae over several weeks, proper testing (like CYA) wasn't done until a company leader flagged it when called me after I notified them I was cancelling. Offering free service doesn't fix persistent bad service. I had to hire outside help just to restore my pool. Look past the marketing and check their most recent 1-star reviews before hiring them. I don't take this review or my experience lightly, I don't do bad reviews.

We had been using this company for our regular monthly pool maintenance. Our pool was recently…read moredrained as part of a remodel and was scheduled to be refilled on Friday. I contacted him in advance and asked if he could come Saturday or Monday to get the water properly treated and balanced. He told me he couldn't come until Thursday. Since I didn't want a newly filled pool sitting that long without being properly treated, I told him I understood and that we would find another pool maintenance company that could come sooner. I then asked him to refund the unused portion of the $150 monthly service fee, since he had only performed one service that month. Instead of simply discussing the cancellation and refund professionally, the conversation became extremely hostile. He told me, "You pay thousands of dollars for a remodel, yet you won't pay me $200?" and eventually called me a "low-life" and said he "could wipe my ass with that money." I understand that there can be disagreements about charges, and I had no problem paying another company for the chemicals and startup service. My issue was the way I was spoken to simply because I chose to discontinue the service and requested the unused balance back. Unfortunately, after the way this situation was handled and the personal insults I received, I would not use this company again. Update after the owner's response: His response unfortunately reinforces the reason I decided to change companies. I did not cancel because I was looking for free service or because I did not want to pay for chemicals. My new pool company charges me $159/month, which is actually more than the $150/month I was paying him. They also charge separately for the freshwater startup chemicals, which I agreed to pay. I have no issue paying for services or chemicals. I changed companies because I was unhappy with the service and, most importantly, the way I was being communicated with. Even after I ended the service, the owner continued calling me "low-class" publicly in his response to this review. I think his own messages and response speak for themselves.

Steve is a true pool genius--knowledgeable, honest, and always willing to answer questions and explain the process. Payless Pool Service resurfaced our pool, and the entire project was completed in just 7-10 days. They kept us informed every step of the way, showed up when they said they would, and delivered exactly what they promised. There were no hidden costs, no surprises, and no pressure--just outstanding workmanship at a fair price. What really impressed us was how they consistently went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. Their attention to detail, communication, and commitment to customer satisfaction exceeded our expectations. It's rare to find a company that genuinely cares about the quality of their work and the people they serve. Our pool looks absolutely amazing, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We highly recommend Payless Pool Service to anyone looking for a professional, honest, and trustworthy company. -- Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated…read more I rarely write reviews, but I feel a responsibility to warn other homeowners about my experience with Big George's Pool Care. After a detailed and explicit conversation with the owner about not cleaning the filters on the road (due to HOA rules and the mess it leaves behind for me and my neighbors), they completely disregarded my request and did it anyway. This was not only disrespectful but also a clear violation of our community guidelines--something I made very clear upfront. On top of that, my spa was clogged for over a month, which I had to constantly bring to their attention. The clog caused a severe calcium buildup that destroyed the look of my tile. Instead of taking accountability, the owner brushed it off with, "Calcium builds up over time," and said I would need to pay another companymore to remove it. That's not just poor service--it's negligent. I've lived in my home for 7 years and never had buildup like this. My previous pool service would catch early signs and make recommendations before it got out of hand. Big George's took no such proactive care. Now I'm left with a spa that's downright ugly and embarrassing, and frankly, I feel taken advantage of. What was supposed to be regular pool maintenance turned into a costly headache. This is not professional service. This is a warning to anyone considering Big George's Pool Care: look elsewhere unless you want to clean up after them--literally and financially.
