This office is AMAZING!! As I went into the office I was acknowledged right away with a beautiful smile from the front desk receptionist KENDAL. I was very nervous about my visit today, hadn't seen a dentist in years. As I waited my turn to be called it wasn't even 5 minutes that had passed and already the Kendal had apologized for the wait and offered us some water or a coffee and if there was anything she can do to make us feel comfortable. This right here shows on how much the patients are cared for before stepping into the back. So here I think WOW 5 minutes, I've been places you wait an hour and no one says anything nor recognizes your still in the room. So as I am waiting for maybe a few more minutes one of the staff come to the door calls for my turn. I was greeted by SID with a hand shake welcoming me into the office. Here more nervous than what I was. Right away Sid started off with conversation easing the butterflies in my tummy. Sid was very gentle with and treated me as if I were a family member made me feel comfortable and not to feel embarrassed of anything. As all X-rays were completed and now waiting on Dr. Garger to come in Sid was recommending what were the best tooth brush to use and showing me exactly how to floss getting my gums going. Here again shows the care for patients and taking the time to teach and demonstrate these techniques. Soon after Dr. Garger had came in a very nice soft spoken doctor. As he was checking my teeth he was so gentle making sure he worked around my teeth and not the other way around. He evaluated every tooth so carefully and making sure not to miss any he would also ask his assistant if there were any he missed after he made 2-3 rounds on checking. He did a thorough evaluation on my teeth I was satisfied. I actually was making sure he touched every tooth and I was surprised he would go back a few times just to verify he had evaluated every single one. My visit was complete and I was told to wait for Kendal so that she can explain what is going on. Here comes in Kendal with a page already giving all the benefits and according to the dental work I am needing explanation on what was covered and how much I am to pay out of pocket. I was impressed of what the amount was for everything I am needing to get done. With all this being said and done. I want to recognize both KENDAL and SID for their marvelous services they had provided for me. Explanation on all parts were very detailed I had no questions to ask because of the defined details shown and explained. They treated me with so much care I cannot wait to come back in to see them both. I would highly recommend this office to anyone out there. read more

Awesome Dentist! I was a certified dental wimp before seeing Dr. Garger and I avoided going to the dentist after I was hurt at one of those group HMO offices by one of those fresh out of school dentists. My co-worker recommended Dr. G as the most gentle dentist that he ever went to, and that was I needed to hear... When I came into his office for the first time, I was struck by how beautiful the office was and how they had this coffee, tea and water available to people in the reception area. Since I was hurting, the girls at the front brought me directly in to see Dr. Garger to get out of pain before I had to fill out the forms! He did some tests and took an x-ray to be sure which tooth was hurting me and after taking my blood pressure, they numbed me FIRST to get me comfortable before having me fill out forms! And the shot didn't hurt! He had some vibration thing on the syringe that took the sting out! By the time that I filled out the papers, I was hardly hurting at all and They took me back to discuss whether or not I would want to save the tooth. I said that I did, but I still had the crummy HMO insurance and wanted to switch over to a PPO that could allow me to choose my dentist... I was willing to pay cash for today to get out of pain, then come back when I had a better plan. Dr. Garger did a partial root canal that relieved the pain in the tooth and put a large filling in the tooth so that I could come back and have him finish the job once the good insurance kicked in. He did a great job doing the root canal when I returned, and I don't remember any discomfort since I was given some pills that made me relax as I watched a Netflix show while he worked. Gentle Family Dentistry was everything I always wanted from a dentist but could never find elsewhere. I was absolutely floored by have kind, thorough, and patient every person I encountered at this practice was. They used extremely thorough practices to protect everyone during COVID, and still imparted a feeling of warmth and comfort all the while. The sense of community in the office was palpable. I have had lifelong issues with my teeth, and they were able to answer questions I have had for years and couldn't get answers for before my visit at this practice. The skill of the staff was so great that even being numbed was barely felt, and I had no discomfort even with large scale dental work being done. I was given very detailed instructions on how to care for the work that was done, as well as how to maximize the health of my teeth going forward. I could tell that every person, from the dentist all the way to the receptionist, were absolute experts in every way. The office was absolutely spotless in a way I have never seen any medical or dental office maintained, which immediately gave me a good impression of their later proven thoroughness and commitment to safety and the highest quality of dental care. I got to watch Netflix while they worked on my teeth, which was a fun and welcome distraction I hadn't seen any other office do before. Hands down - Best Team in California! I've had quite the workover from extractions to crowns to partials with Mr. Garger and his team. I did have to move to Tennessee near the end of my makeover but they forwarded my partials here to finish the work. The Doc - If I could, I would have came back for him to finish the work. I'm 56 and had my share of dentists but he took my heavy task on with concern to make things right again and he did! I'm proud of him and his staff! They got good things going on there. Doc's assistant - I wouldn't of had any one else! I didn't get her name but what a great person she is! She was caring, friendly, professional and answered all questions politely! Her concern for me was genuine! Office Lead Manager - Kendall was the definition of "Sweetheart". From the very first visit, she helped me plan my workover. My schedules and relocating was issues for me but she made sure that they did as much as they could for me until I moved. I will miss them ( and how many folks in their right mind will miss dentists lol) but I will. Seldom are there office teams that sync but they do! The girl that performed the cleanings, she sure does make you at ease! She was the start of the whole process and if the Team was anything like her, I knew I was going to make it! I am like most people,I hate going to the dentist! When half my molar fell out I knew I had to see someone. I waited weeks because I was afraid of the pain I knew I was going to have to endure. I met Dr Garger at my job.He is a very happy friendly kind of person that made me like him right away.When I found out he was a dentist,I asked for a business card. He didn't have any on him ,but said he would be right back. He came back a little later and gave me a card. I called the next day and they were going to get me in that day. I asked if I could come in the next day and they fit me in. I was relieved, because my tooth was starting to hurt alot. When I got to his office he saw me right away. He was so gentle and funny too. After my exam he asked how long it had been since I saw a dentist? It had been awhile. Seems I needed aroot canal and extraction. I had to come back that afternoon. I had alot of work done and he was able to save the tooth he thought he had to remove. That made me happy. I'm going back for my crowns soon and I'm am not afraid anymore. I had been blessed with health all my life but unfortunately, my dental health was everything but healthy. As a result, ever since I was a little girl, I frequented dental offices more than I could count. Based on my previous experiences, I dreaded the root canal procedure more than anything else in the world. When Dr. Garger told me that I needed to get two root canals done, I almost broke down in tears. However, today I am so happy to state that Dr. Garger was so GENTLE and proficient with the root canal procedure that in one sitting, without hardly any pain or discomfort, I was done and good to go. Dr. Garger is an amazing dentist. I have been a patient of his for over 10 years. He always listens to what I need and any worries I may have and he's always taken excellent care of me. I have had a few unique issues in the past and Dr. Garger has always gone the extra mile to make sure things were the way I wanted them and taken care of the right way. If you're lucky enough to have this doctor as your dentist, you'll notice that he truly cares about his patients and his work. I just switched to Dr. Garger as my dentist and I have to say the staff is amazing!! Upon my first visit I found I had a cracked tooth that needed to be crowned. Because of the horrible experience I had before coming here I was nervous about my visit. The office was gorgeous, sith a view of the Kern River, the staff was friendly and knowlegable, the Doctor was friendly, funny and honest, the shots he gave were painless, there was practically no wait, and the insurance estimate was right on...what more could you ask for? HE IS THE BEST DENTIST IVE EVER BEEN TO! State of the art facility. Had my temporary bridge put in right after my procedure was completed.
