We followed the new owner when he took over! My kids are super nervous at the dentist and they love the dentist now! My youngest asked when we could go back, and my older two aren't as nervous for dental work anymore! The doctor is extremely gentle and fast - the magic combo when it comes to anxious kids! I've been recommending the office to everyone. They've already made some great changes and I look forward to seeing what's to come! read more

I've been bringing my kiddos here since 2018. They are usually pretty timely, give my girls a quick, but thorough cleaning, and are always so nice to them. They always get a fun goody bag at the end and a balloon. They decorate for all the holidays and make being at the dentist fun. I would definitely recommend this dentistry for your littles. I don't ever remember having a bad experience here in the 7 years we have been coming. read more

The staff went above and beyond to make my daughter feel safe and comfortable. Her twin asked a lot of questions and instead of brushing each question off the staff took their time and answered every single one. We absolutely love it here! The staff is amazing and truly cares. My daughter needed a stubborn tooth pulled because it was causing her adult tooth to grow in crooked behind it and wouldn't come out on its own. They did an incredible job making her feel at ease and calming her anxiety throughout the process. read more

Only a two star for the staff up front because they were kind and helpful to me. I would never allow my child to be worked on at this facility. The dentist, dental assistant and X-ray tech all lack patience with children. My son was nervous & cried a bit and they did not hide their annoyance with him, even scolding him. He was only 2 at the time. It's taken me a few months to write this and I can say look elsewhere for your child's dental needs. After finding a facility that has great bedside manner and takes pride in treating little ones with respect, advocate for your child and ensure they're in the hands of the best. The X-ray tech said loudly and rudely in front of many other people waiting "I'm not even trying with him, he's not going to do well" and walked off. I'm talking they didn't even attempt an X-ray, just walked out to see if he would go back and he of course didn't want to. This facility lacks overall bedside manner and nurturing care for pediatric patients who are not cooperative. I understand it's difficult to work on a child unwilling to sit, but find a new career if this has made you so callas with pediatric patients, and don't advertise as a facility that welcomes all ages when clearly this is not the case. read more

My son has a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, so much so that years back I had to have him put under general anesthesia for dental work. About 9 months ago, he needed to see a dentist for a really bad toothache. He had put off telling me about it because of how anxious he was regarding going to the dentist. I was able to get him into Kids First Dentistry as an urgent appointment. A treatment plan was set up and the Dentist (I'm sorry I don't recall his name) was wonderful with my son. Antibiotics were started then we returned a few days later for extractions. My son was extremely nervous during the 2nd visit, he was 11 at the time. He was given nitrous to help, I was able to sit in the same area as him and it went beautifully. The experience was so positive for my son, that he is looking forward to his dental cleaning appointment this afternoon. I can't express what a relief and comfort it is that my son was able to overcome his anxiety regarding seeing a dentist, I owe that to the folks at Kids First Dental. Thank you. read more

Came here a few weeks ago after being referred by another dental office. My daughter had work that needed to be done (3 cavities needed fills) this place took xrays and says she needed crowns silver crowns. I asked why silver crowns and not white ones since my daughter is doubled covered and no out of pocket expense was needed. Basically silver crowns are easier for them is what I got. Also you would think since Covid 19 they would be cleaner. There was a dead cockroach on the ground near the dental chair my daughter was sitting in. Also one of the assistants seemed bother when I questioned why silver teeth and her attitude was not good at all. This is a children's dental office that needs employees with patience and compassion not rude and impatient employees. Will not be returning to this place. read more

If you are looking for gentle yet quality dental care Dr. Yasalapu at Kids First Dentistry is the place to go. From walking through the doors you are greeted by a clean waiting room with plenty of toys, and gaming systems. The front desk staff were super friendly and the wait time was minimal. Once called back the assistants actually seemed to enjoy their job as they took the time to make small talk with my very nervous daughter and to ensure her it would all be okay. The dentist greeted us and I never left my daughter's side. Whenever my daughter would start to get nervous and start to squirm or whine the dentist would stop and let her recoup and even let me sit right next to her to calm her. This by far has been the best dental experience, I definitely recommend this place! read more

My son just went here yesterday and i had his fathers (birth and step)take him. Not only did the doctor not fill out the TK paperwork fully, causing me to return after i got off work to get the right boxes filled out, but the place seemed smaller than I imagined. Oh boy the private rooms are even smaller than you think as well. When his birth father explained the office absolutely refused both of them to be in the room at the same time because the rooms were only made for 3 people (doctor, nurse, patient/ parent and child patient)i was confused as hell. To make matters worse he told me that the doctor recommended we go someplace else to have him put under with gas for the cavities he had due to him being nervous. He was ordered to restrain our sons legs and lock our sons head under his chin while the nurse held his arms down. He wasnt asked but told. Before that my son was only a little nervous, by then he was panicking. When i left my number to get clarification and answers the doctor called within 30 mins, and kept telling me that i was not getting told correctly and that my son was combative and fighting the whole time. Not true at all as he never had that issue with the last dentist (we only switched because of distance). He actually likes going to dentist trips cause he likes the way his teeth feel clean (weird i know) When I further asked why both fathers were not allowed in the room she explained to me that she didn't even want the father in the room because a four-year-old should be allowed to go into the back room alone with the dentist and the nurse to help ease his anxiety. (Apparently parents in the room is wrong because THATS what makes a child nervous) And she then explained to me how I was going to baby him because we were going to continue wanting one of us parents in the room when he should be able to go into the back by himself. When I explain no parent would let their newborn to 10-year-old child alone in a doctors or dentist office she told me I was being ridiculous. This is not a children's dentist office, do not be fooled by the waiting room. No dentist would or should order for the restraining of a child EVER!!!! No rational proper dentist should ever say any of that stuff. read more

Awesome first office visit with my two children under age of five. As soon as I was done with paper work, they took us right in. My oldest was familiar with dental visits and so approves with office, he said they made him feel comfortable and made his visit fun. First dental visit for my toddler, and happy to walked out with out traumatizing him. I got to sit with my child while doctor and assistant took care of him. They were really gentle, and handle everything with TLC. read more

Took my daughter in she had an abscess she's 10 years old the dentist said unless her face is swollen and she's in a lot of pain they do not treat with antibiotics that is protocol and set an appointment for a week to pull the two teeth where the abscess was it didn't sit right with me but I continued three days later the abscess was bigger I called back she said unless her face is swollen I don't prescribe antibiotics called another dentist who said they would not touch a child who had an abscess that she needs to be treated with antibiotics needless to say the staff was nice the vibe I got from the dentist was she didn't really care for children and was worried about maybe prescribing a medication to a kid I would not recommend this place at all having an infection should be the first thing they learn to treat read more

This place is a half assed attempt at being a "Children's" dental office. The waiting room is misleading as it looks somewhat fun with a couple of games and some toys. Once you actually go into the back for an examination, there is absolutely nothing to comfort the children. It is literally the same as an adult dentist which is quite intimidating and scary for toddlers. The dental assistants were nice but you can tell they didn't enjoy working there. If the Dentist is as terrible of an employer as she is at working with children, then I can see why they would be less than enthusiastic working there. The Dentist was absolutely worthless when it came to working with children. She just wanted us to hold down our toddler while she was screaming in pain and explained nothing to us throughout the process. I know it was the fault of the Dentist because we brought our child to a different dental office later that day for a second checkup, (that's how much I distrust this place) and the second Dental office (Kid's Dental Park on Coffee) was absolutely incredible. A well thought out facility that was absolutely amazing and fun for the kids. My child literally didn't want to leave after the appointment. All in all, I can't wait for the free market to run its course and force this place out of business. I am writing this review to save you and your children from a hellish experience. read more

Last time I went there the staff were unbelievably rude. My daughter had needed to get a tooth pulled and she was extremely anxious. They didn't try to calm her or make her feel more comfortable they would just give her dirty looks and attitud. I wouldn't recommend this dentist to anyone and will NEVER go there again. read more

1st time visit, took my 4th grader for a check-up. Assistant was friendly, patient and explained every detail to my kid in simple terms. Female Dentist was nice, although she failed to introduce herself. And barely exchanged any words w/me. Overall, experience was good. Place looked clean. Best pediatric dentist! My son had a very traumatic experience with his previous dentist and the Dr. here is so gentle and kind. She treats my child with care and comfort, she also explains things to my child and myself and takes her time with us! My Dentist are in an out and pretty rough. You won't get that here. I've had no issues with this dentist office until recently with their reopening during COVID. I understand there are restrictions and guidelines to be followed, but patients should not be forced to wait outside for 45 minutes after their scheduled appointment time. Especially after my first appointment time of 8:00 AM was canceled and I was NOT notified (even though they said they left a voicemail). Needless to say, after 45 min of waiting outside in our car, I left. It was then about 15 min after that, that the office called my wife wondering where we went. We have decided to take our kids to a different dentist and I would suggest others do the same, at least until this office figures out how to function effectively under COVID guidelines. read more

My kids have been going to this place for a little over six years and every single visit has been pleasant! The staff is amazing, attentive and very friendly. Many of the staffers have been working there the entire time I've been coming... That says a lot! With care that is thorough, quick and easy, my visit here is that much easier. Worst experience!!! My 3 year old could be heard from the back to the waiting area. The kids waiting where scared too. I asked if I could go back and check on him? The receptionist said it would be best to wait for the doctor to finish filling. I could hear him still. After a few minutes I demanded to go back! He was strapped down, sweating and the doctor had cut his cheek with the drill! The ambulance was called out. Liquid stitches were placed. Since then he will only have cleanings and fillings under sedation. He is so scared of the dentist. Horrible dentist! read more

My regular dentist didn't have the means to fill a cavity on my two year old. This dentist was recommended by my insurance company. The lobby was clean and a waiting area for adults and an area for kids with toys. Both areas had tv's with kids shows playing. The staff was supper nice and concerned for all parties. The back section was nice and clean also. Of course tv's back their too. The staff was very patient with my two year old, who was cooperating nicely. We were in and out fairly quickly. read more

The staff is excellent all the way around, with knowledge of the work they do and heart warming interactions with both parents and child. The Dr will explain in detail any problems found or procedures that will need to be done. We've had fillings done, teeth removed and regular cleanings, the timing is remarkable! Just got back from this dentist my poor baby is still crying, I'm sure the dentist here hurt his mouth while she was looking in there for a good 10 min, In stead of doing x-rays during this this whole time she opted to do nothing but go by what she saw. Like really, how lazy is that? What a waste of time. She also told me to take someone else with me to help hold my two year old down, while she has assistants who can also hold his head while I hold his hands but no she wants both my husband and I to miss work like that's going to happen. Horrible experience, my baby now will be going to a more kid friendly place tomorrow, hope they show more compassion than this joke of a dentistry. read more

This is by far the worst pediatric dentistry office ever. I chose them because of the two very misleading positive recommendations. The office is dingy and I was weary about letting my kids play with the selection of old broken toys that was just tossed all over the floor, invest in a toy bin guys, and have some sterile wipes near the area. My next issue was with the staff, so rude and demeaning. Just because you call me sir doesn't make it OK to wave your finger and raise your voice to me about my kids ridiculous treatment procedure, which brings me to the actual dentist. This lady had the bedside manner of a donkey. She shows no compassion for the children, at least for mine, and can not even gussy up to deal with a distressed kid in a dentist chair. Seriously lady your supposed to be a stinking pediatric dentist, wear a clown nose, say funny joke to the kid, rub his hand to give him comfort, instead it's, "open your mouth show me the money" attitude here. The office didn't even provide the required two dental assistants for the chair. This was my third and final visit, never again Kids First Dentistry, you guys are a big NO for my children, you should seriously think about taking your pediatric skills elsewhere, where they are needed like in juvenile hall, or boot camp. read more

Oh wait the place next door is the same business. run by the same dentist. Try holding a 3 year old for 30 minutes in your lap... Then she was upset because she had to wait for us to come back from the front waiting room. rather take my child to some place on union maybe the dale? take some old toys and chairs from china strap them together with zip ties. put a sticker on the widow of a run down dentist office and you get kids first dentistry.
